5:40 personally i don't find a reason to believe Kris is being control by any entity besides themself and us, they could have Open the fountain to both get the police to help(which they seems to want if to talk to Undyne) and/or improve their relationship relationship whit Toriel as it isn´t that great. Unless Kris can set the fountain opening to a timer or something they could not have opened the previous fountain while Noelle and berdly were on the room, not to mention that the closet hints at a tall man being the one to Open it.
17:40 i know everyone says or used to say that "Your choises dosn´t matter" is the main theme of the game, but honestly to me that was always like the "It´s kill or be killed" from Undertale, it is the first idea we are introduce to by a posible antagonist and that we will work against over the course of the game, to me, even if at the grand scale the ending is the same, just the fact that there is misseable things, even if simple dumb dialog that you can find out by choosing to go back the way you came is already eniugh to make that small choice matter.

Unless Kris comes out an says "I identify as X" we cant really know their gender identity.
What is to say that the other characters, and fans for that matter, arent assuming their gender as well?
@ero-senninsama1734 Why else would people that know Kris' gender (Noelle, for instance) use They/them to refer to Kris? It's already established that Kris is not a reflection of the Player
@@ero-senninsama1734Bro they are literally referred to as they/them by their own family and childhood friends, and Toby specifically has corrected people on multiple occasions about their pronouns. The argument that people they are very close to don’t know their gender somehow or the theory that they use they/them because there’s multiple entities controlling them (which no one would know about) is frankly dumb and outright bigoted. Sure we don’t know their actual gender identity but they clearly use they/them pronouns, so using otherwise is misgendering as far as we’re aware.
@@DuckLovesHistory its also been established that Kris is a quiet kid. It could also be that they have never challenged people's perception of their gender identity. It could also be that Kris changed gender identity while they went "off the grid" between the time of Asriel leaving and the start of chapter 1

This has been a common theory for a while.
17:25 while i cant say if other games have or have not had this kind of phylosophy during their design, I think its interesting that we shift focus from the ending, like Undertale which is mainly about getting all endings, to Deltarune which seems to be like "There is only one ending but the journey you took while getting to that one ending IS what matters, really"
