Hello and welcome to the World of Micah! I travel around filming everything and anything I find interesting -from theme parks to abandoned urban exploring. If you enjoy learning more about Disney history, tips & secrets or a fan of Walt Disney World nostalgia you have come to the right place. I also enjoy showing Universal Studios history and taking a look of what’s left of from classic attractions like JAWS and Back to the Future. More of an Urban Exploring fan? I travel around Central Florida and film everything from abandoned Toys “R” Us stores to abandoned attractions. I'm also a major Movie Buff! I have found the filming locations from such films as Edward Scissorhands, Halloween (1978) & Hocus Pocus!

Glad you went by . Glad we showcased it while it still existed .
It’s such a bummer but it’s better than it rotting away I guess.
Your old vldeos keep the memory alive. Thank You for them
I plan to get that movie next Christmas!
It’s on Disney+ right now
This breaks my heart. One less tangible memento of a childhood favorite.
I am so glad that both you and Adam were able to get footage of the house before they demolished it! It was quite heartbreaking that no one took care of it all these years!💔 It should have been declared an historic sight! You would think a high tourist area like Orlando would have been more interested in it’s famous landmarks. Sad to see it gone!😢
I have lived in Vegas since 1986...lots of historic places gone over the years. It doesn’t get any easier, but at least we got to visit some of them... and lucky you got to film them! Thanks for sharing your memories, Micah!
I love this movie & watch it ever year! This is so sad that they tore it down. You and Adam have done a wonderful job documenting it. You will always have the memories of when you were able to visit the house to cherish.
Even though the house is gone, it will forever be around on your channel as well as Adam’s. Thank You for documenting all the filming locations of Earnest Saves Christmas over the years as well as other filming locations. Some of those films are very much apart of our childhood as you & Adam have stated. Very Sad indeed the house is no longer standing.😐
Man what a bummer! Thanks for all of your videos over time helping document this place. That is a great movie, Jim was amazing.
I saw Adam's coverage yesterday, and now yours today, Micah. It's the same melancholy, honest, gut reaction.
kindred feelings...
It may be gone, but its great that you and Adam have properly documented it before it was gone 🙂
I’m glad we have memories and photos/video
I can relate. In a way, that house was a tangible symbol of your friendship. While change is inevitable, progress is subject to debate.
Yep, the guy that told you it was being demolished, he’s the one who bought it and that’s why he was excited. He has 3 on that street now 😁 hope you go back and show what it looks like when they’re done rebuilding. In a perfect world it would be an exact replica but can already tell it’s not going to be. He had the option to restore but you know increasing personal wealth versus nostalgia/history...money wins and land beats structures every time. It is indeed sad that a lot of those older homes in that area get demolished but at least the videos show what it once was. Thanks for documenting it.
Well that explains it! Very sad
Sorry... Even though it is gone , we still have the movie forever.... Pictures and your videos and Adams videos... As long as we keep talking about the house...and keep it in our thoughts... It will never truly be gone.... As a famous quote said... Heroes get remembered, but legends never die ... Ernest is a legend... He will never be forgotten... And at least you can come back to where the house used to be... Thanks for sharing... Take care... Have a great day... Thanks.... 👍👍👍
Hi Micah, I'm sorry you had to go through this, but you and Adam did well in filming that location, Ernest movies are always fun, I feel your pain, thanks for sharing your story, love you
In 1978 my family moved from NY to Orlando. We winded up living in this house for 3 years until my junior year in High School. It wasn’t the nicest house on the block but, for us it meant a lot. It’s sad to see it gone.
Wow! Did you ever see the film when it was newly released? That must have been a trip - thanks for this comment! Very cool. I’m so sorry it’s gone
@@worldofmicah yes. I saw it when it first came out. I never recognize it as our one time home tho. It wasn’t until I saw YOUR video that I recognize it. I immediately sent the videos to my siblings and told them how it was immortalized in a movie. I also had to rewatch Earnest Saves Christmas this last December. Thank you💕
Great video man! Thanks for sharing and showing your heart
Thanks Jon!
At least you and @thedailywoo where able to show case it when it was still standing, and you can say that you guys where among the last few to see it. You do an amazing job covering these topics and that is what keeps us coming back to the channel. Your story telling is amazing. And its also a blast when we run into each other around town. Keep at it and will see you out there! ~Danny
This is so nice. Thank you so much. I sometimes worry I talk to much in the videos.
Great video, so sad movie history is gone. I loved Jim had the pleasure many years ago to meet him in Noblesville Indiana he made a appearance at a convience store he did commercials for.
I'm from South Florida move to Orlando when I was 15 that was 2005 I didn't even know Ernest movies were made in Orlando blew my mind
Oh cool! Now you know!
A part of my childhood has died. Two weeks ago I biked around Orlando to see the house, since you said it was going to be demolished. Now it’s gone. 😭
Thanks for sharing (and for the previous coverage). I always enjoyed the Ernest movies -Seth
Thanks Seth!!
You do A great job on your videos I watch your new videos everytime you post A new one
I saw that yesterday on Adam the Woo video. I also just saw your video content where you were just showing it a couple weeks back. It’s sad 😔
Thank you Micah...
I saw adams video yesterday now watching yours!
Sad day. Your voice and reactions were reminiscent of when I saw the Jaws being demolished at Universal Studios.
I think it’s cool how passionate you and Adam the woo are about Jim Varney. Thanks for being real. Stay weird my friend.
Thank you! Love the man so much. Wish I could have met it
It is so sad that they demolished the Ernest house. Unfortunately, Jim Varney (Ernest) was not a big Hollywood star or there would have been more of a push to save the house. My family and I have been Ernest fans since the 80's when we rented a video of all his commercials, and then watched all his movies through the years. We moved to the Orlando area (Apopka) just after the Ernest Saves Christmas movie came out, so a lot of the filming locations are very familiar to us. We watch the movie every Christmas. Sadly, a lot of people do not care for Jim Varney (Ernest) because they just saw him as a silly man, but he was a comedic genius and a brilliant Shakespearean trained actor. Shortly before he died, he was interviewed on a radio station I listened to when we lived in Columbia, Maryland. I was so sad when he died. We live in Kentucky now and plan to visit his grave site, but my husband is mostly disabled now, and we have not been able to get there. Jim Varney was one of a kind.
Nice shirt man! I just went to visit the 1974 Texas Chainsaw Massacre filming locations - the Gas Station the new House Location which we got to eat in the bone room, and quick hill road where leatherface does his dance! Anyways last video of Ernests house I wish you snagged a piece of the house siding seeing how its all in a landfill now :( You should go back and ask a worker if you can have a brick from the driveway!
I looked today. There’s nothing to take. Driveway is cement. Very cool about the Texas spots. Hope to make it there one day myself
Ernest saved Christmas, but was not here to save his house. Does Mello Yello still exist? I think you need one. "Hey Vern would you like an ice cold Mello Yello, Yeah, I just bet you would."
Adam's video was pretty sad. Yours has a lot of emotion in it. You can definitely tell it really affected you.
That's deep Oger!
I'm really sorry man. 😥
Never saw the movie. I’m going to make an effort to do so.
It’s on Disney+
First it was the Family Matters house, the Demon House in Gary, Indiana, the police station from Jeepers Creepers, now this! What has happened to American history film locations!😟
Bummer.
Adam s vlog was sad love Adam So SaD
They Do Ernest Day at its Original Location for Ernest Goes to Camp on June 11th at Montgomery Bell State Park. Everything is Still original there From the Cabins to the Camp Kikakee Sign.
:( that sucks. I wanted to go see it but i procrastinated and now its to late
hoping they building a new home someday soon
Ah man that building should have been preserved - terrible decision
You and Adam maybe could have bought it as an investment property.
Bet that would've gotten the neighbors goat lol.
Really sad. I, personally, can't stand ANYTHING historical to be torn down. Seems like a lot of that goes on around you there.
My son is one of the construction workers in the background,,,, he's wearing the blue hat
Nothing means anything to anyone anymore 😢😢
Why are they demolishing the house?
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Sorry, this happened
So sad...this is how many of us feel who went to Wet N Wild all the time growing up and it's gone and replaced by that ugly hotel. Sorry, but I'll never go to Volcano Bay, thanks Universal!
They are doing it to everything now so 😢😢
Jim Varney may be gone along with this house. He’ll always be Earnest P Worrell to me. And Slinky Dog (Toy Story) to my kids, and all kids💕
No! Vern better still live next door or my childhood will be destroyed 🥺
NooooooooooooO! Those bastards.
Varney was a funny person. Made you smile. But I knew him, when anyone would ask for a autograph, he would get mad as hell. Probably the coke.
Sorry bud. I know it sucks.
Get over it
It's just a house
