This is an incredible feature and will completely revolutionize CNC technology in education. I am extremely proud to be associated with a company that continues to lead the industry in innovation, safety and support, all the while building what I believe is the best value in small and medium format CNC routing. Congrats to Todd and the Axiom team for hitting yet another home run! I can’t wait to introduce this to the educational world. #gamechanger

How does this prevent stuff from flying out? Only asking because it was compared to a physical enclosure.

Allister, it does not stop a projectile but based on my experience of having supplied several thousand CNC routers in industry and education I have never seen this occur. Not that it is impossible, just improbable. With a roughly 6’ safe zone I suspect the danger of a projectile would be even more minuscule to be honest.
That said, there is no doubt that a physical enclosure would provide that extra layer of protection but there is a trade off. We manufactured many different models of CNC for education over the years using these physical enclosures. The truth is they are cumbersome, expensive and do create challenges for loading and unloading materials, clamping projects down, etc.
I think your question is a good one. I am really glad you asked it because as we introduce this new innovation to industry, home enthusiasts and educators they will ask the same questions.
