I had been carrying that knife in my Maxpedition Thermite. Nobody can tell I have a knife with an 11” blade in the Thermite. So I wanted the sheath to emulate that “non” sheath look. Micah has done a fantastic job with it! Even tho I live on an island in Alaska, where we are cool with weapons, I still want to be discreet with the tools I carry. And as a first responder, I HAVE to have tools on me. I don’t like to look intimidating, so I carry a bare minimum of tools. A big knife is a must! I have pried open doors, hammered exposed nails and “cracked” open a 55 gallon drum, for inspection purposes ( you’d be surprised at the contraband the stuff in there ).
Hey, I ordered a Pathfinder Bowie Knife and will be needing a kydex sheath, ETA mid July. Now, I wonder who I know that makes great kydex sheath... 😉 Hmmm
Most people don’t need a $1200 dollar knife , or a sheath that cost several hundred dollars! In fact, 99% of people these days only “need” scissors or a box cutter. But I have saved a life with this knife- Pried open a door, while people were looking for a key. I’ve also hammered exposed nails with it and cracked open a 55 gallon drum. As a first responder in Alaska, this is my Hooligan, prybar, hammer, digging and cutting tool. I told the maker that I would cut thru a house if need be to extract a person from a house fire. A chainsaw and axe would be better, but I’m not carrying either on my belt! Lorne said go for it! This knife is a beast! Lorne said if there is ever any damage due to extreme use, he would fix/replace for free. But he does not anticipate that to happen.
Hey brother - thank you very much for sharing this video. That sheath is spectacular - you did an excellent job with that. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Beautiful knife, but no way I'm paying $1200 for one.
