Very cool video and helpful info for a newbie still trying to navigate this complicated game! It would be great to see a video about assembling an entire deck from scratch after purchasing various boosters from a particular set! I was looking at buying a horizons 2 box but the reason I didn’t is because even of o but this really good set, then what? I’m too new to know how to put together various good decks from that
While MH2 is a great set full of awesome cards I wouldn’t recommend it being the set to start off with as that is a set for the modern format which requires a lot of cards some kind of old and can be a bit pricey. If you are looking for some packs to buy I would recommend buying packs that are in the standard format as there are less sets to collect cards to from to make a fairly competitive deck. As well there are starter decks that you can buy to get you started and then work on your card collection to look to upgrade the deck or maybe make attempt to build your own. I do have a video I did a few months back on how to build deck if you want to check that out.
Thanks for providing the brief descriptions that some of these decks should have come with. I haven't really experimented much with most of the starter decks just because for a new player it's a real slog to figure it out by just getting hammered until you get a sense for what the deck wants to do. I think if they provided starter decks that were internally consistent with 3x and 4x sets of cards that you'll want to quickly upgrade from but show what good decks look like, there might be less need for experienced players to make videos like this one.
yeah i guess since these decks are using mechanics from current sets they didnt do a color challenge type thing to help you show the game play off and how they work. its one of those things wizards has done with physical starters they provide a base like this to start with and leave it up to you where you want to go with upgrading the deck.
Would you say arena is the best place for a new player to start playing in 2021, since we really can't just go out and ask experienced player for help because of corona
I think so. Magic is one of those games that any time is a great time to hop in and the fact that you can play it on your computer, phone or tablet makes it more accessible then ever. The client for the most part feels modern like other digital card games. The community overall is great for asking questions and getting answers too weather that be here or on another creators channel, many people live stream it, or hopping into the reddit and asking there. Plus since the game has been around forever ususally there is some resource you can google and more then likely find the answer. Hope this helps!
not sure if you redeemed codes for free packs but if you google "mtg arena free codes" you can get codes for packs to help boost your collection and get wildcards in the process to upgrade.
Spending wildcards is one way to get the cards you are looking for. The other way is saving gold and buying packs from the set you are looking for cards in.
do a lot of my recording in batches but was thinking about planning to do livestreams in the near future and that probably be a good idea to do sometimes during that.
its like your daily quests you get. at the bottom of your home page you will see a quest that you can do once a day but this one will have a deck box on it. Only downside is that you can only unlock a new deck once a day.
I like your videos, but could you try to speak a little louder. Even at max volume settings it is hard for me to understand what you are saying. It might be my laptop though.
I think the issue is resolved in my newer videos.I’m also going back and making updated versions of these videos since things may have changed since this was posted.

Yeah i tried all the precons and can't prog past silver 4. I also have no cards to upgrade
