Howard Buffett is an American philanthropist, farmer, and great friend of Ukraine. He has also been a director of The Coca-Cola Company since December 9, 2010. He has also managed other Fortune 500 companies.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, The Howard G. Buffett Foundation has provided $196 million in aid to Ukrainians. The lion's share of this amount went to investments in the agricultural sector: Buffett donated equipment, facilitated demining, restored irrigation systems, etc. A team of journalists from Kurkul.com managed to talk to Howard during one of his visits to Ukraine.
In the interview, Howard told us why he helps Ukrainian agriculture, who the foundation supports, and how it controls the use of targeted assistance. We will also talk about the problem of demining in Ukraine, what areas of Ukrainian agribusiness can be invested in now, and strategies for making Ukrainian agriculture more efficient.
