Literally any tech company does this, not just samsung. I mean we went from nvidia something like GTX 480 to GTX 1080 TI and now to RTX 4090 TI. Think about it, what do these names exactly mean? It's literally named liked this to sound more "cool" to the consumer. If companies didn't do that, it would just be numbered like 1, 2 ,3, etc and that's it.

For some reason I like to believe that the a0X series it's just the J series rebranded.
For the cracked ones, you can use a combination of windshield repair kit to fill in the cracks (make sure you press into the cracks so the resin gets inside real good), a full glass foil (no camera holes) and UV activated glue to make a great bond between the glass foil and the screen itself.
The winshield repair kit will basicaly make the cracks as invisible as they possibly can and the UV activated glue will level out the surface bumps for the glass foil to have full adhesion.
I did just that for a friend's original LG G Watch that was even missing a few shards of glass from a corner (the strap came undone and the watch dropped on the pavement, shattering the glass). Other than the large diagonal crack that can barely be seen only from a specific angle, the rest of the cracks filled in perfectly, even the corner with the missing glass.
In retrospect... should have recorded the process.
It's actually quite relaxing to fix glass like that. 😂

I know there are probably legitimate reasons why phone manufacturers don't do this anymore, but seeing you so easily pop open those two phones and swap the battery between them makes me REALLY want a modern, fully featured smartphone with a battery that easy to change.

I really like it too 😩🥹 I can see waterproofing not being as tight but I’ve seen many phones with a seal around removable ports (charge ports) and with some slight innovation it could be done with a back battery cover. I also know wireless charging could be integrated with it too. really love it’s so easy to add and remove batteries. no need to carry around a lunky powerbank when you have a battery to easily swap

Quick camera hack for samsung. If u have an old samsung S series (for example s7 edge coz i have it), try use Gcam for the camera. Make sure download and set the right application/setting for your phone coz there are various type of gcam.
After u find out the right setting, Im telling u it's very worth it.

No way to unlock. It's either bypass or phishing for the password for the newer ones, and for most it's too expensive (more than buying a new phone) and stops working bypass on reset or update.

For that "locked" Tracfone Moto G Pure, it wont let you set it up because the phone is still network locked and there's no Tracfone sim in it. If you dont have a sim laying around you can buy one of those Tracfone sim kits from any big box store for $1 and stick it in the phone to get past that screen.
Interestingly, once you network unlock a Tracfone Motorola it wont show that screen anymore during setup.
and thankfully it's made after the 2 month unlocking came into place, unlike the j7's

Some of the phones I've had: pink blackberry pearl, HTC Rhyme in plum, samsung flip phone with the rotating screen from 03/04? I forgot what it's called, and the old school nokia everybody & their granmama had back in 01- it was my first cell ohone and my parents bought it for me b/c I was going to college. It was community college and I lived at home but they still were nervous nillys.
Also i had an ex who was jelous I had a blackberry so he BROKE HIS OLD PHONE and bought an LG NV3 in maroon. Like he didn't have to break his old phone hw could've just bought the new one but he was nutsy anywhoo even when I was giving him compliments on the new phone and literally saying "oh I'm super jelous! I wish i had gotten one of those instead!" He.was STILL mad at me for having a blackberry. Like i thibk he wanted me to smash my phone like he smashed his or something but i really liked my blackberry and I figured I woukd just get an LG when time came to upgrade. No need to be competitve abt it.

@@gabesmath105 Carrier Locked Motorolas require a sim card to get past the setup screen, and knowing that it said TracFone Wireless on the imei sticker & boot animation was pretty obvious that he needed a tracfone sim card
