There was a time shortly after Fiddle's rework, it became viable in top lane (with its visage+frozen heart aftershock 'tank' build), but then Riot decided to nerf it a patch later by lowering its healing gained from minions.
That build was kinda nuts, since it turned him into Maokai with crap ton of dmg.
I wonder if he would have been OP with it 😂

I remember there was a Fiddle OTP who was featured on the challenger replays yt who played a few fiddlesticks top, mid, supp, and even a bot lane carry game, I believe it was this madlad! I admittedly check the bot lane carry playlist now and then to see all the weird off-meta picks they have so I can watch them and see how even challengers play use oddball picks to their advantage, and I think I want to go back and watch the fiddlesticks bot lane vods, cuz he made it look powerful with how he played!

I was inspired by your videos and I wanted to play something of meta myself .. i wanted to play something I haven't seen before so i tried fiddlesticks top and from silver 2 i jump to gold 3 with 70 % win rate ..so happy to see this pick get the attention he deserves

I have been a pretty good friend of his for the past 2½ years and I am absolutely dumbfounded how much he's done and how much he will do on a champion he picked up less than a year ago. Truly inspiring.
I used to love Tank fiddle mid specially vs assassins, still sometimes play it with a bit of ap with Demonic, but i enjoy seeing what other adaptations people do with Mid/topelsticks
When I picked up Fiddle Top a while ago and game theorize the crap out of it I was expecting this kind of video to be made at some point :D
One thing I'd very much like to add is Fiddles insane matchup chart on toplane that you get through the diversity of being able to start with all 3 spells depending on matchup and also put points into e or w first. With 3 points in e before maxing w and comet you hard bully champs out of the lane that either outdamage your heal or have too much cc for you to deal with in close range. And everyone else you just beat by maxing w.
The only losing matchups I'd count as such are Cho'Gath, Volibear and the occasional rare Sejuani Top. Cho has way too much cc and you stand still during your e animation for too long to poke, he will land his q when he expects your E, Voli can push Fiddle into tower and dive him with ult for free fearing him resets his q cooldown so its kinda pointless, Seju will do the same, is immune to your fear and has a better gap closer and too much cc for you to contest.
Everyone else you beat by changing your skill order and item builds, or go even with.
Just a tip vs seju... Hold an effigy, place it in front of You when she Qs in.
@@Sylvine I've tried that to stop sion ult before but the effigy takes a bit to be physically there after being placed, you sadly cannot use it on reaction.

Awesome stuff as always, I have been appreciating fiddle more thanks to arena, lately. I might give this a try when I get back to summoner's rift ans possibly ruin someone's day
Another tip i have for midlane fiddle is to think about using Predator, as it allows you to gank top or bot with more consistency before reaching leve 6, also allowing you to help in teamfights if your ultimate is down
I actually main Fiddle for about a year and a half now but this actually shows me a lot of tips I have never known for fiddle
Not really a main if you don't know the advanced stuff of a champion tbh
The main thing to notice that he played this game for YEARS, he got combinations of muptiple roles playing and hit great roles before, you wont became grand master just because you peek fiddle top, but you will if you keep trying and getting experience in game, grind if you want grinding, and push yourself up to face more greatest enemies for your own competitive will, good luck!

I kept on trying this as a new way to play toplane as a Yorick main, and it was a lot of fun to try it out. Because you can easily get away of a champ who is harassing you like Illaoi.

I also remember playing against this in top lane when fiddle was reworked. The sustain could be quite hard to deal with.

Honestly did people forget that tank frozen heart fiddle was a meta pick for a long time in s9. Not surprised that it still works
I use fiddle top before , rune was either first strike or press the attack and the main things u need is pressence of mind. With first strike u go cull first item for maximum gold gain and with press the attack u go either ring or black seal for ap. Pressence of mind is activated after 3 AA to enemy and then you start harassing enemy after 3 AA they wont really had a chance in early so be sure to get a kill as much as u can

Ive been playing alot of fidd support rn, im getting close to plat with a 100% wr so far on him. I bet its gonna be bad the more I climb but for low elo like this its super strong

This is impressive, but not unheard of. I THINK it was Doublelift who did this alot in the LCS. You'd basically rush Frozen Heart if you were against AD or Visage if you were against AP. The thing is that Fiddle Mid/Top at this point didn't usually WIN lane, but it was almost impossible to LOSE lane. Unless you were a complete dummy the worst you could do was going even. It was an awesome build that got nerfed when Riot tweaked his healing numbers. Cool to see that it's back.

I’ve been wanting to play fiddle more because I think he just looks cool af but I just feel like there’s way better champs for jng, I’m gonna try him out in top and see how I like it
if most of the team is low mobility champions ie not a lot of dashs consider reylais second affter a big dps item like lysanderys, it can make a lot of midgame fights really hard on them ignore if they have good dashes you wont find the same value then.
Couple errors:
- lvl 1 E does not give cc/fear from bushes as u need your Q passive
- it's never a good idea to take the full fiddle W lmao. He still gets the cdr so long as he doesn't cancel it himself
At least its not the aftershock tank build that was so annoying and I also played it back during the start of rework xD it was super good counter to wukong with frozen heart first before lvl 6
Did this guy just start playing in the last year or two. Early fiddle was nastiest top with the bouncing silence. And middlesticks worked well also
so i have been having alot of success witht this before even finding this video, but i go dorans into riftmaker, since the true damage on tanks is quite helpful but also gives insane healing from omnivamp

No shade but just wanted to comment that I found it really funny how you described the tricks to extend Fiddle's range as "new" when I can remember practicing them as far back as late S11/preseason 12 because they're just "what you do" if you play Fiddle lol

Weird question, where do you find the icons for all the items? I check a few websites but all the items look blurry when i download the PNG files...
People should try fidd support, the bot lane doest expect fidd to be usefull but with the q and e you have great cc. His dmg his nuts too, if you get a kill buy dark seal and you will be winning most objective with his ult. Its a great off meta pick in the bot lane

I did a bard top in the past and although he has improved the strat a lot since then it perhaps is not quite enough for a full video. But I do recommend him!

Iv played fiddle top for probably a total of 100-150 games, and it was too broken for my like. Never really get below 50% HP, huge damage, CC. It just made top lane too easy. And I never felt like I had to work to win mt lane. So I dropped it. But I might go back to it.
Man I really wanted to get into top fiddle but I just hated how the nerfed dmg and healing from minions felt.

If you play tank then it is meta
I think it's off meta but either way - if it's fun then play it. Don't need other people to consider it meta or off meta for it to be good 👍

Leveling E level 1 doesn't give you a CC if you use it from the bush, unless you mean the silence which doesn't hinge on you been seen or not.
I've played Fiddletop so many times almost 6 months ago. It was such a viable pick and I would only get flamed so harm by picking it. I hoped to get Diamond or Master with it but League just gets super boring and I never put in the effort later on.

The people I have played in soloqueue must have seen this video and also been first time fiddlesticks. I have played against it a few times in the last couple days and stomped it.
As a fiddle main, its probably possible to go every lane even in the past fiddlesticks
I played against it few times. Tbh Riots must do something about things like this or Varus top. Being melee top juggernaut is already painful enough but this is just makes me question why would we ever bother to play bruiser top when they can abuse those "off meta" picks. To me its just clearly some design problems with top rn.

I'm a masters top laner and have seen this pick once or twice. Can confirm it is absolute cancer to play against. This should be in high S-tier, this pick is way more legit than things like AP Sej or toplane Ashe.
It actually doesn't feel like this pick has any notable weaknesses outside of obviously being auto-loss into Aatrox. Fiddle's main weakness (being completely dead-weight pre6) is completely absent since he's a great lane bully in top.
I'm a mono fiddle mid, hope this doesn't lead to nerfs, cause people been sleeping on fiddle for a while
