Mega choon,soon as I seen this= headset on,volume cranked,knob broke off wait for the funky beat then DANCE,dance,dance.🕺 🙅♀️ 👉✌ yeah baby...enjoy I am
I stole Robbie Rivera's 2001 "Feel This" drums the day they were pre-delivered to us (cunty move), and I grabbed Soft House Company on 1/2 vinyl in the JVM office that I'd been trying to sample in something...messengered both to Fred Jorio just days before Pride 2001 (our first homeless Pride...I had to throw it together quickly at the Roxy after losing the JV Residency at Twilo)...I knew we needed musical gems just in case the sound (that I rented from Phil Smith/Steve Dash at Twilo) or the Roxy itself sucked. The other gem was a new REAP. Fred actually finished just in time and brought this to the club; neither Junior nor I had heard it before he first played it LOL. Junior actually didn't really know this song. It was more of a Brian Long & me thing Sunday afternoons after we would recap and get ready for the next week at my loft, and Friday nights-Saturday mornings getting ready for Twilo. It had the aca very out of time but I tried desperately to sync beats with it thinking it would be a great dance song for months. At the Roxu, I decided to change it up Junior should play from the middle of the dancefloor not from the Roxy booth, so that meant building a VERY solid wooden structure (with moat and all), one that could sustain the rumbling of the bass in the day of playing RECORDS. Hilarious. My point, this song was part of something bigger, but the mix is *LEGENDARY*. What an honor to have been a part of it. #juniorvasquez #jvm #sunshineanderson #hearditallbefore
