- A video of me doing a play-through of the song "Confusion" by the band Metallica, from their latest album "Hardwired... To Self-Destruct".
A fun but also very easy song. It literally took me less than 3 hours to learn and record it. So it is highly recommended for newer players.
I hope you guys enjoy it, as I enjoy making these.
Feel free to comment, like, subscribe or whatever pleases you. Any constructive criticism is very welcome, as I will forever look to improve both my guitar-playing but also the sound and quality of the video.

4:30 i love the riff so much. One of the big reasons i love Metallica and the riff that they make and when they use them appropriately
Love this

6:00 I know how that feels like when playing this musica haha
Great cover tho
Haha thanks man.. Yeah, that one moment almost made me redo the whole thing!
hey man, i see you got confused at around 6:00 playing that riff more than it should be but that's totally fine. superb playing nevertheless.

Great tone! Roland knows what they're doing... Also, Metallica really needs to play this song live again, it's one of my favourites from the album /,,/

\m/ :)) !!
Awesound sound indeed!
Cheers man!
Hey man have you ever thought about covering some Obscura?
this is insane!
I am at the frayed ends of sanity!
Nice tone
thanks!
i need your guitar tone man!! i have the same amp
My first advice for you, is to get an Overdrive pedal to put in front of it. Don't turn up the gain on it. It just helps boost the signal, which makes the tone tighter and less bassy. I use the Maxon OD808 for example, and it is actually a big part of the tone.
Then I am using the R-fier and my current settings are Bass: 5/10, Middle: 7/10, Treble: 4.5/10, Gain: 6/10, but that of course depends on the guitar you're using. When using my Ibanez, I tweak it quite a bit differently.
:)
TheMathMog93 thanx man! i have a Dean with Emg Pickups
Alright, since it's with EMG (active I guess), they will probably need less of the Overdrive boost. But play around with it, and see what sounds best to your ears :)
How can use your ring finger to do the hammer-on on the third fret in the riff at 1:03 ? O_o
I honestly don't know what way would be easier :p
Might just be a fact of, that I apparently have quite long fingers!
Yeah, because I gave it a try and my finger fall off my hand :P I can't possibly do that!
Well the ring finger is the third finger, and he's going to the third fret. I sort of thought that made sense to do.
It does make sense, but it's very difficult for me at least.
Super Puper!
Whatever puper is, I'll take it!
Nailed it bro
Hey man, I guess you're already aware of that but just in case, they're going to be in Copenhagen next week!
Right, I was aware of it :) A few of my buddies also talked about going, but I didn't really want to. I've seen them once, and I honestly don't think it is worth the money, as much as I love their music. Standing still for a period of 4+ hours doesn't treat my knees and back very well either, so I'd rather save the money for quite a few more local concerts, including a few of those bands that are actually warming up for Metallica these days, like "Hatesphere", "Aphyxion" and "Defecto", which are killer bands too! :p
Yeah, I agree with you, good point. Although I think enjoying a show also has a random factor to it, like how you're feeling in this particular day, who are the people around you in the crowd, where you are standing, what you get out of the show can vary a lot. But it's true that I have been to big concerts many times and I remember having a disappointed feeling sometimes and I definitely prefer small shows. Next week I'm going to see Dream Theater in a rather big venue and I hope not to be disappointed. Gotta check out these bands you mantionned!
your videos definitely deserves more views dude!
Thanks for thinking so man!
1:35, 1:45 I see you also have some kind of OCD with the knobs? :D
Apparently I do.. I pretty much do this in all of my recent videos, whenever there is a short break in the song... And I didn't even know that it was something I did! :D
Maybe it comes from the times when I have been playing with the volume knob turned a bit down, so this is my unconsciousness that keeps checking if I am at full power? :D
