best performance iv heard . i understand the critic by people for the tempo. but your interpretation tempo in the early video shows us a song totally different from the usual.
@predoje It is a very interesting topic, wether to play as an arrangement, or try to imitate the harpsichord as much as possible. I absolutely agree, though, Scarlatti is not from the Romantic Era. Thanks for watching, and the comment!
A bit late to the party, but nicely done!! David Pace lives and works near me. You won't find more down to earth, humble yet passionate man. His guitars (in the hands of an artist such as you) speak for themselves. Your selection of recording location is wonderful as well. all in all, many nice things to note regarding your performance here!!
Extraordinary interpretation of the sonata, full of feeling and with a masterful balance. Congratulations. The transcription for guitar sounds very natural and in perfect tonality;almost it says that it had been composed for guitar It would be possible to buy your transcript? Greetings from Spain
I always though I could hear echos of the guitar in this even on harpsichord, after all Scarlatti lived in Spain and was known for being influenced by the local music, there would have certainly been lutes and vilhuelas, so perhaps some of the motifs are coming full circle here. Nice arrangement!
It's very rare to see this sonata for solo guitar, their arrangement and their interpretation are wonderful, you're an accomplished guitarist, how do I get this score? Congratulations!
+osman aksoy Hello! excuse me, do you have D. Scarlatti K466 sheet music arr. Gerard Abiton? If you have them, please share with me. I would be very thankful to you
Congratulations, think Horowitz (best feeling) would be surprised because the spirit is here, ...maybe just a little faster would be better (96 tempo ???) I don't know...
Exquisitely beautiful playing! No harpsichord ever sounded wih so much warmth. Wonderful!
Marvelous!!! Marvelous !!! Thanks so much for a beautiful gift and performance !!!
Mark, what a great performance. I've played this sonata for years on piano and I'm impressed by what you were able to do here. Just wonderful.
This is the finest realisation of this sonata. Such polish and such care. This is CLASS.

Молодец! Хорошо исполнил. Но.. надо трагичней и нежнее.
Too romantic for my taste.
