Thanks for making this video. The Wireless ME works great for my needs and the price point is great too. I would have loved the onboard recording on the GO II, but honestly the ME just fits my needs better all around. I do hope RØDE Capture comes to Android, though. RØDE commented on one of their videos that Android has some kind of restriction that limits their ability to have Capture on Android. Hopefully they're working on that and not leaving Android users in the wind. I'd love to use that app.
You should buy the Lensgo wireless mics. I am a sound engineer who does some video work, I edit in a treated room on pro monitors, the Lensgo beats every other wireless I have used or been given footage to edit and mix with. It's not a fashionable name but it makes all these sound consumer level and it's much cheaper and has built in contingency, you can record directly to each mic/transmitter. I am frequently surprised how little most video people, including some of the biggest UA-camrs understand about audio. I like your channel, I want you to do a comparison of the Lensgo vs the rest, paying attention to the self noise.
No offense, but downgrading it because it doesn't have internal recording is stupid. Most professional sound people don't use gear that has internal, and most of us willing choose that because the ones with internal recording are 2.4ghz and have much bigger issues than Lectro and Sennheiser. If you're worried about not having a "Backup", you should be considering upgrading your recorder or just find another job.

@@DarkCornerStudios They have really great featues like 32 bit float, timecode etc. But I wish they improve the mic quality, because that's what will really make them stand apart from competitions like Hollyland Lark Max etc. Not sure if they did improve the mic quality though. Most people don't use a lav with the Wireless go either, they just use the built in mic. If they improve that, it's a great win from me.
@@DarkCornerStudios I do own sanken cos-11d, DPA 4060, and Countryman B5, but that's for my proper system, for the wireless pro, i plan to get for like non pro work. Just use the device by itself. With the interview go stick and stuff, wish they actually improve the mic quality. But it was not mentioned.
I own the rode go2 and have always had problems with the transmitter being too hot when a sound source like a dj is present. I have the receiver at -30db and padded its still too hot. Will the gain assist feature on the ME be an improvement? Thanks. Ps I resolve the problem by connecting my shot gun mic into the cam receiver, but I'd rather not do that
Those wireless mics are the newest fad of every UA-camr. They look absolutely ridiculous hanging off peoples clothes. Reminds me of pagers from back in the 1990s. Since there is no benefit to audio quality vs a high quality lav mic there really is no reason to invest in such an expensive ‘toy’.
I mean it when I say Rode is becoming the Apple of audio gear... I know they are...perhaps working on an android solution...but I wonder how many people are actually working on it.
