This is what exactly I'm going through right now. I'm going through health issues after health issues, and my faith has been tested. In my heart, God is good all the time and righteous, no doubt there. My battle is having thoughts like Pastor John said... Am I a true follower of Christ? Am I a hypocrite? That's where my fear is coming from. This is very timely. Thank you, Father...and thank you, Pastor John. ❤ Please pray for me. GOD's promise in 2nd Corinthians 12:9 is what I'm holding in this season of my life.
I am a younger person and have had much of the same for the last decade or so. Looking back I am very grateful for my physical suffering as it has kept me focused on the Lord! If I didn't hurt every day then I would probably be more quick to turn my back and leave Him for other things!

Last Christmas, I was sick with flu. In January, I was battling with IBS symptoms for 3 weeks. I couldn't eat or drink. I was only 95 lbs and lost 15 lbs. I went to the ER after a week of non-stop IBS. They thought it was diverticulitis, but the CT scan didn't show any diverticulitis. What they found were cysts on my two ovaries and fibroids. A week after finding I have cysts and fibroids, I found a lump on my left breast. I had one taken out back in 2009, so I was hoping it's the same kind, which was benign. Early February, I had the lump biopsy and praised God, it was benign. A week after I had the biopsy, in February, I got sick with covid again. I had covid in 2021 and ended up having long covid. Also, in February, I learned that CA125 bloodwork came back elevated. I ended up up having the surgery to take out my ovaries in April. Turned out my left ovary was eaten up with endometriosis. And now, my liver enzymes are high. In 2022, I was also diagnosed with Autonomic Nervous System dysfunction, 'Pots', and I have low blood pressure. These past 7 months have been non-stop. I am so exhausted physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. We are also taking care of my 93-year-old mother inlaw whose health is not good. When I look back these past 10 years, I told a friend that I wouldn't change a thing because through my pains, I met the Lord in 2017 and got saved. I know that all my pains and suffering have a purpose. I just keep holding to His promise in Romans 8:28, And we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to his purpose. ❤️
I can wholeheartedly relate as I am a disabled vet and have been dealing with pain and complications for over twenty years now. If it wasn’t for this I don’t think I would be a Christian and my two wonderful sons wouldn’t be here either. I am so grateful to God for all the wonderful blessings in my life. Lately I have had some complications that have led to severe fatigue which has made doing anything almost impossible. I haven’t been able to attend Church or Bible study regularly which was really getting to me. During this trial I questioned my faith tremendously and The Lord has shown me all I need is Him which was something I really needed. I hold fast to His Grace and the ultimate hope of what’s next. I know being in pain is a rough time but hold fast to The Lord and He most definitely will get you through! Peace be with you all and my love and prayers are with you.

I'm going through absolute inner turmoil right now because I suffer from everything John talked about from minute 19 forward. Brothers and sisters I beseech you pray for me I struggle with my assurance, if I'm real or fake, if I'm going to get to the end of this life and go before God and find out I wasn't loved and am rejected.
I will pray for you ❤. Keep studying God’s word. May I suggest reading the book of Hebrews but if that’s a bit much for now, chapter 12 can help you find peace within your mind with God. The EASY Version is a good translation of that passage.

You think this applies for sin done in the flesh and the suffering that brings? I know there is a scripture that says if we suffer for doing evil, what reward will you get. I suffer tremendously in this body of death and struggling alcohol and marijuana i go threw season where I'm clean and rejoiceful and then season where I'm not clean and feel like these sins are petty i thought I'd be done with them by now I wanna be done with them there is even seasons where when I look around me the only thing that's different when it comes to the new creation is leaning on his mercy and the knowledge of who christ is ...then I think about that day he come after me and the power that it had. Surely he's not given me over to my desires. They are indeed hopeless. Will I ever learn in this body of death ?
