Wrong!!! Tim Couch was ruin by the Browns. No weapons to throw to and no offensive line. Couch was sacked ovet 60 times his 1st two years in Cleveland not to mention the number of times he was hit. No quarterback could take that.
Oh my gosh thank you!!!! It is not about the QB football is a team game!!!!! O line most important good QB bad o line 1 and 15 good O line bad QB 11 and 5 to 16 and 0
TPS got this wrong! Couch got thrown to the Wolves by the Browns. They were a horrible expansion team in 1999, Ty Detmer was supposed to take the 1st year ass-whooping, not Couch. Couch put up some decent numbers and led the Browns to the playoffs in '02, but he broke his leg the last game of the season. The only Browns team to make the playoffs since they came back, Couch is not the worst Browns bust.
Let’s not forget their line was so atrocious the first year they had to get a WR they drafted in the second round who played QB at Syracuse until Donavan McNabb started going to school there and he ended up starting at QB last game of the first season. Line did not get better during Couch’s tenure.
10. Johnny Manziel 9. Johnny Manziel 8. Johnny Manziel 7. Johnny Manziel 6. Johnny Manziel 5. Johnny Manziel 4. Johnny Manziel 3. Johnny Manziel 2. Johnny Manziel 1. Johnny Manziel
lol hell yea went to high school with him he did so much more shit then everyone heard of once he got to the nfl he was a highschool football star so it was swept under the rug needless to say alot of us were so happy when he failed
Quick advise if you are drafting. Here's NFL draft advise #22 Never take a quarterback with the 22nd overall pick. It rarely works. Sincerely, a Browns fan.
well think about it a quaterback is only worth taking in the first round if he is going to be a franchise qb like goff and wentz and because so many team need a franchise qb he most likely will be a top 10 pick if a qb falls it is for a reason and he shouldn't be taken unless the team has got a good veteran qb for him to learned from not a brian Hoyer or jason Campell. also quality over quanity. The browns have made the same mistake for years. how much better would this team look if they took khali mack and derrick carr instead of the raiders did.
Matt Hasselbeck - (1998) Round 6, pick 187 Mark Rypien - (1986) Round 6, pick 146 Joe Theismann -(1971) Round 4, pick 99 Bart Starr - (1956) Round 17, pick 199 Roger Staubach - (1964) Round 10, pick 129 Tom Brady - (2000) Round 6, pick 199 It seems to me that the Browns are picking QB's waaay too early :) Sincerely, another Browns fan.
@Harry Engel Oh man, I had completely forgotten about Spergon Wynn! The QBs just fly by, don't they? I've got my fingers crossed that Baker Mayfield will finally lead the Browns out of the toilet bowl and in to the Super Bowl.
Here are a list of QB's that were drafted after either Tim Couch, Brady Quinn, or Johnny Manziel: 1999: Donovan McNabb Daunte Culpepper 2007: Drew Stanton 2014: Teddy Bridgewater Derek Carr Jimmy Garoppolo Ya, that is bad!
Tim Couch was totally not a bust. Look into these guys more, especially him. His stats are the product of what happens when you neglect improving your offensive line. Couch could have been great and it is directly the fault of the coaching and his team around him that made him fail. Same could be said for most of the Cleveland Browns players.
To me, Tim Couch wasn't really a bust. He was the latest Browns QB to start all 16 games to put the Browns a 7-9 record. He later sent the Browns to the postseason in 2002 (although Kelly Holcomb played a couple of games)
Sure Courtney Brown was a bust but #2? He played 7 seasons in the NFL and was injured a lot. Not near as bad as Richardson, but then again they did get a 1st for him but Johny Manziel. You could really do a browns top 20 draft busts and that would be pretty easy.
Don't forget the 1999 Browns were an expansion team (Yinzers and revisionists incoming). Tim Couch was the first pick for a team comprised of retreads and past their prime entities from other teams. Putting him at #1 is as SAS would say _disrespectful_
The Dog Pound SUCKS. I sat there ONCE and got covered in beer. Those aren't fans there to watch a game those are drunks who couldn't find their way home and ended up at a football game.
Even Bill Belichick couldn’t escape the curse of draft suckage in Cleveland (although he did bring the franchise their most recent playoff victory back in 1994. His opponent, ironically, was the New England Patriots).
Okay. Big problem. I am a Browns fan, but I do not agree completely with this list. Couch DOES NOT deserve to be number 1 on the list. He got stuck with such A bad deal, Just like Chris Palmer, who coached the Browns when they came back in 1999. They got stuck on an expansion team, and honestly I think Tim couch would have been so much better if he played for a team like the Steelers or the patriots. Couch actually did have some talent, but he just was never given a really good chance to show that talent, because of all teams he got stuck with the expansion draft 1999 Cleveland Browns. Big bummer for him. Johnny Manziel however had so much hype build up around him, like a nickname Johnny football, and winning the Heisman trophy in his freshman year of college. He got to the NFL and did so much less than Tim couch. Also, Tim couch worked about 50 times harder than Johnny Manziel to get out of the rough situation that the 99 Cleveland Browns were already in. I’m not denying Tim couch turned out to be a bust, I’m just saying that he does not deserve to be number one on this list. Tim couch really did get stuck with a raw deal!
You are right except for Tim Couch. The Browns only made the playoffs once since returning. They won 9 games that year under starting quarterback Tim Couch. He missed the playoff game due to injuries. Sad irony there. The Browns had a bad offensive line and Tim's career was cut short by injuries. When he wasn't lying flat on his back he was a decent quarterback. It's ancient history, but Mike Phipps was a far bigger bust. The Browns even traded fan favorite Paul Warfield to get Phipps.
Couch shouldn't even be on this list. He is just like david carr, he was basically on an expansion team with no help around him. The rest of these guys just suck
Maybe if Couch was set up behind more than a set of traffic cones for an offensive line, he wouldn’t have gotten destroyed. The browns are plagued by picking flashy skill positions rather than getting some guys to win in the trenches.
No Craig Powell in 1995? Never even played a down of NFL football. Clifford Charlton in 88? 2 seasons, 1 start, out of football. Honorable mention to Charles White, 1980 first rounder. He was a Heisman winner and supposed to be a big deal, but thought drugs was good idea.
Wrong!!! Tim Couch was ruin by the Browns. No weapons to throw to and no offensive line. Couch was sacked ovet 60 times his 1st two years in Cleveland not to mention the number of times he was hit. No quarterback could take that.
yeah some players that crap out in the nfl it isnt because they didnt try hard. they just went to the wrong team
Kelley Holcolm made the playoffs with the same weapons....
Oh my gosh thank you!!!! It is not about the QB football is a team game!!!!! O line most important good QB bad o line 1 and 15 good O line bad QB 11 and 5 to 16 and 0
@@jordangalloway6605 he didn't make the playoffs first of all..he only played good in that playoff game, and then played like shit the next season
Dan Valvo yup did all he could to save them and they cheered when he got hurt good ol' mistake by the lake 😏
Exactly, thank you
Agreed. Completely unfair. Couch's experience in Cleveland would ruin ANY quarterback.
Let’s not forget their line was so atrocious the first year they had to get a WR they drafted in the second round who played QB at Syracuse until Donavan McNabb started going to school there and he ended up starting at QB last game of the first season. Line did not get better during Couch’s tenure.

Quick advise if you are drafting. Here's NFL draft advise #22

William Green should be on here. More career fumbles then touchdowns and was drafted in 1st.
The Browns had the #1 pick in back-to-back drafts, and got Tim Couch and Courtney Brown out of them.
God they're bad.
Couch was a good QB with a crappy team around him
I agree with r3alist123 100%. Tim Couch was a good QB who had no offensive line at all.
Here are a list of QB's that were drafted after either Tim Couch, Brady Quinn, or Johnny Manziel:
1999: Donovan McNabb
Daunte Culpepper
2007: Drew Stanton
2014: Teddy Bridgewater
Derek Carr
Jimmy Garoppolo
Ya, that is bad!
Trent Richardson was great his first season with the Browns, and was only traded 3 games into the next season. Meaning he wasn't bad for the Browns
Another great vid

Sure Courtney Brown was a bust but #2? He played 7 seasons in the NFL and was injured a lot. Not near as bad as Richardson, but then again they did get a 1st for him but Johny Manziel. You could really do a browns top 20 draft busts and that would be pretty easy.
Before I even start, number 1 is Johnny Manziel
EDIT: wrong
Don't forget the 1999 Browns were an expansion team (Yinzers and revisionists incoming). Tim Couch was the first pick for a team comprised of retreads and past their prime entities from other teams. Putting him at #1 is as SAS would say _disrespectful_
How did I know that it was gonna be Justin to diss on the Browns :')
Lets face it, the CLEVELAND BROWNS are the "cursed team" of NFL. But hey, THUMBS-UP to the DOG POUND. ( NFL'S most die-hard fans ).
The Dog Pound SUCKS. I sat there ONCE and got covered in beer. Those aren't fans there to watch a game those are drunks who couldn't find their way home and ended up at a football game.
That's right. Worst team. Best fans!
We have so many busts it is literally IMPOSSIBLE to name a top 10. Maybe top 100
5:07 Donovan McNabb was in that top 10 #2 to be exact.
Wait, wait, wait, ALL OF THE ABOVE... Lmao

Even Bill Belichick couldn’t escape the curse of draft suckage in Cleveland (although he did bring the franchise their most recent playoff victory back in 1994. His opponent, ironically, was the New England Patriots).
The worst the Browns ever drafted: Manziel (over Bortles, Carr, and Bridgewater), Gerard Warren (over LaDanian Tomlinson) , Trent Richardson, and Couch (over Donovan McNabb).
Okay. Big problem. I am a Browns fan, but I do not agree completely with this list. Couch DOES NOT deserve to be number 1 on the list. I don't think some of them were busts. They just didn't fit into the teams style of play.
The best players on the Browns roster right now... 1. Joe Thomas, 2. Joel Bitonio, 3. Christian Kirksey 4. Idk.
Nah, Ryan Leaf and JaMarcus Russell were WAY bigger busts at quarterback than Tim Couch.
"I'm a soldja" Winslow over Roethlisberger. Unbelievable.
What about Colt McCoy and Kellen Winslow JR other Cleveland Browns draft busts?
Top ten all time one game wonders - guys who had one and only one amazing game.

But after 51 I doubt it lol
They forgot to mention Donovan McNabb as a top 10 pick in the 1999 draft. McNabb was the No. 2 pick, right after Couch.
Couch shouldn't even be on this list. He is just like david carr, he was basically on an expansion team with no help around him. The rest of these guys just suck
Actually, the Browns traded down with the Bills to get Gilbert. The Bills then used the 4th overall pick to get Sammy Watkins.
What about rg3? He always got injured. Went from Washington to Cleveland.
Top 10 Athletes who played for 1 team, then won a championship.
Isn't it fitting that Quinn and Manziel went 22nd to Cleveland😂
Maybe if Couch was set up behind more than a set of traffic cones for an offensive line, he wouldn’t have gotten destroyed. The browns are plagued by picking flashy skill positions rather than getting some guys to win in the trenches.
They have traded for WR Kasen Williams, who many people (even Richard Sherman) believed would make the team in seattle after a great preseason
10 NFL players that have a respectful educational degree.
How about doing a video like this of Belicheck's biggest bust with New England
You could probably do a top 100 with this list
do the new England patriots bust draft picks for the 90 to 2000 or even Kansas city chiefs
The Browns should have no problem writing a novel, considering all of these rough drafts
Barkevious Mingo is way too high on this list
Make a vid about 10 teams that started off great in 2017
Worst thing is that when my dad got Mingo's Jersey he didn't realize how much of a bust he was

The browns are an NFL Bust
Phil Taylor. The Browns traded their pick to Atlanta that turned out to be Julio Jones. Traded down to get Taylor
