Hey Charlie. Not bike related just a heartfelt thanks to you and your colleagues for what you do as a day job. My mother is nearing the end of her time and the emergency services have been called out so many times I am thinking of putting them on speed dial. My parents live up in Shropshire and I’m in Fairford so it is mainly my father who deals with the paramedics and ambulance people and I just get to hear how amazing they are. I’ve had another dash up to Shropshire and have experienced at first hand the sheer professionalism, expertise and amazing people skills at first hand. The way they dealt with both my parents was nothing short of awe inspiring. I know you are made if the same stuff and I am sure there are many hundreds of people who you have dealt with in the same superb way. To you guys it is just what you do, day after day, week after week. This is a simple thanks to you on behalf of all the people you have e helped and if any if your colleagues ever think they are not appreciated tell them about this message. If only the people making the decisions in the NHS and the government officials had you guys level of care, commitment and dedication we would all be in a better place. No need to reply back. I’m an oldie now and I subscribe to the view that it’s good to say and do things with no need or expectation of anything back. Keep the shiny side up !!
I'm so glad your family are getting fabulous Ambulance care. It really is nice to hear and receive such a note of appreciation, it's all too easy to forget sometimes that there are people out there who are thankful, we don't come across it as often as you'd think sadly. In fact the word is "Krankenwagen", literally meaning "car for the sick". Much more common is to say "Rettung - rescue". So we would say "ruf die Rettung" for "call the ambulance". Happy to help 😊

It's very close the the Cotswold Motor museum ( Bibury Motor Hub) that's where we stopped for a brew before heading up. 😊

Now I’m planning my April trip, up to John o Groats, then down to Lands End. It should be a blast. I may even get round to videoing it. 😊

Krankenwagen is simple. Krank means ill or sick and wagen means vehicle. Kranken wagen is a vehicle for sick people. Even better, an ambulance driver is a Krankenwagenfahrer or in you case a Krankenwagenfarerin. The model village is beautiful.
And , of course, she takes her patients to the Krankenhaus,

I am 65 and bourton on the water was our day trip. More interesting at my age now than when Iwas a kid. Several YT seem to have blue skies in their vlogs. Cant remember last time I saw it! Grey and wet and now looming ice and snow. Looking fwd to your 2024 events. Thanks you for your channel😊

Loved the little villages, Charlie. One could imagine the hours spent as a child wandering around that little fantasy land. The pic of you and Jay on the bridge smiling ear to ear is a reminder of the joy and excitement that can be had enjoying what we all love.

My wife left Uttoxeter, in 1952 and, my life long best mate came from Purton.
We did lots of bike trips, until he passed away.

I had my first ride of the year today Charlie! also prob the first day without rain!! last ride of 23 was on Christmas day. You prompted me to question my last visit to Bourton on the Water prob as a 9-10 year old back in the 70's 🤔Have a great New Years Riding.

What a great place to visit. Excellent video. We have flooding every spring, caused by snow melt and spring rain, so we tend to build on higher ground or not on flood areas.
Saturday was my first day out too this year. As you say, no need for heated grips.

Thanks for posting! You are so lucky to be able to get out on Roger for a ride, (Weather permitting.) at the drop of a hat! Bourton on the Water is on the list for 2024, if the Ferry service from down here, up to the UK, ever gets going again! 🙄 I've been there (Bourton on the water) once on a four wheeled trip and it is lovely. I am more motivated than ever to get over and have a look from the perspective of a biker. 👍👍. Ride safe!

Nice vid Charlie. Bourton is a gorgeous place just get there early in the Summer. There used to be a lovely little motor museum near the river and they had duck races on weekend afternoons! Nice to see the bike out at this time of year.
I did read about the motor museum, but the light was going, one for the summer maybe!

Thanks for the video's that you create and post, You certainly live in a pretty region of England, I have a sister who lives in Cirencester, when my wife and I visit the mother country we both wish we could move back. We're in Dallas Texas, and while there are some pretty places and even twisty roads we have to ride for a couple of days before arriving at a location to spend the week exploring on the bikes.
BTW, when you mentioned your new camera I think you meant to say Insta360 but instead you said DJI 🙂 Keep the videos coming - I'm quite envious at the number of subscriptions you've got - great work.
I do love the roads round here. The new camera is indeed a DJI, I also have the insta360 , old go pros and a snazzy drone. I do like a gadget!! 😂

I forgot what a pretty little town Burton is . Think it's been 15 years since I last went. There used to be a really nice little gem shop that had a fantastic selection of amber, so of course I spent far more than was sensible 😅.

Great video thank you. You should definitely check out the model village on the Isle of Wight. There is a lot of lovely tea rooms and great roads for bikes in went over in 2019 for a long weekend and loved it. 🤗🤗

I've just "not passed" my CBT twice in the past month. But my husband an ex instructor suggested your channel to give me inspiration. It's worked , I'm definitely going to try again! On a sidenote, with the amount of nice content you put out, I think it would be a good idea for RE to help you with getting on a 450 Himalayan for your content creation..🤔 The amount of positive exposure they'd get should be enough to present you with a very good deal for such an upgrade.. That village gets raked in the summer, especially with the coach park round the back, but as of this year (2024) the council has decided to do away with coach bays don't know if that will make a difference to the foot fall

it was 50f = 10c sunny a bit windy day here in Texas took my Re Hunter for a 60 miles ride mostly all country roads, it felt Awesome

That model village, is Huge.
Do like a bit of Bourton on the Water, & yes it does get stupidly busy in the summer, speaking of which they play " water football "in the River windrush which flows through the village . There is also a nice little motor museum there .Worth popping back in the spring & combining it to visit Broadway and a ride up fish hill . Think you got lost trying to find The classic motor hub 1st time around , it does look a bit out of the way .
I usually get lost going there to be fair! 😂
Went there some years back with the Honda Owners Club on the weekend rally. Bloody sight warmer then though. 🙂

If you wanna know what flocks of Tourists look like on a warm school Summer holiday Sunday, than you must definately go there in Summer.., terrible! Beats all i've seen so far. Took the kids there on a Sunday when they were small, their Grandad lived in Trowbridge.
I Think i've seen kids playing in that stream/river in high summer, when the water is at it's lowest, so it can't be all that deep.
Talking to my biker daughter (yeah, I bought her up well) this weekend, she has noticed that there's not many good female bike vloggers out there, so this being a good example of your varied work, you constantly put out for all to enjoy, me in particulasr,, I shared it with her.
What she means is, girls like yourself with a good variety of content and not just doing bike reviews, (she has her chosen bike) or riding with no commentry (what we looking at here) etc. etc.
I've honestly not been there before! Not sure id attempt it other than to ride the ford in the summer tho!

Plans for 2024. Buy a Classic to keep at my son's in Clearwater for when I'm over visiting and trade Honda in for Himmie for UK riding.
My nephew works on ambulances in Notts and there’s been some major flooding problems there
