"Haeundae Beach" is one of the Korean's main tourist destinations.
Going beyond Busan, Haeundae is beloved throughout the country as a vacation spot. It teems with so many attractive place such as 5-star hotels, restaurants, luxury apartments and an aquarium, In addition, it boasts outstanding popularity and receives more than million tourists annually, particularity in the summer season, Haeundae is a must-visit site when you visit Busan.
Due to the relatively recent development of the area, it lacks the tradition and history that can be found in the rest of the city.
Many Koreans have happy memories of traveling to Busan to spend a hot summer's day on the packed beach in Haeundae.
The unfortunate holiday season has begun. This is the second video of the beach during the holiday season.

Haeundae Beach is an urban beach in Busan, South Korea. Often dubbed one of the country's most famous and popular beaches, it is located in the eponymous Haeundae District.
The beach is open year-round, and various festivals are held there throughout the year. A popular beach event, "Polar Bear Club", during which participants bath in near freezing water, has been held annually since 1988 in January.
Haeundae is closely associated with cinema, as it partly hosts the Busan International Film Festival, and was featured prominently in the 2009 disaster film Tidal Wave.
Popular sights near the beach include Dongbaekseom, at its west end, which is a popular fishing area. Oryukdo, a group of small islets east of the beach, which are considered a symbol of Busan. The neighborhood surrounding Haeundae is home to most of Busan's expatriate population.
Due to its fame, Haeundae is one of the most expensive areas in South Korea, and the most expensive outside of the Seoul Capital Area. This has led to numerous urban development projects near the beach and the nearby Marine City, including skyscrapers such as Haeundae Doosan We've the Zenith and Haeundae LCT The Sharp.

I remember Haeundae when I was visited in 2002. It was a really different place. I remember the food tents were everywhere. it was a lot of fun. I am just shocked to see how built up it is now. Its good to see a place get better and not worse. But I miss old Haeundae beach.

I am a Korean. I know Haeundae well. I agree with you. Now there are higher buildings, more foreigners, and sexier women. I don't hate foreigners. And I don't want to point out the way women dress. However, Haeundae in the past 2000s was able to feel the true affection of Korea. You know what I mean. I hope you don't forget Haeundae in 2002. It's because it's hard to feel these days and it's cool.

I have a confession to make. My favorite word in Korean is a very, simple word. It is a commonly used word; but to me, it is a special word because it always reminds me of the sound which I associate with HAPPINESS. That favorite Korean word of mine is: 어떻게 (or "how" in English). I just love the sound of that word. It makes me instantly happy!

Incredible to see how many new tall buildings and apartmentblocks have been built, since my stay in Busan in august 1989.
I had been to Haeundae beach in 2018 and 2019 and I love the beach! It has been some time. Really miss South Korea so much!!

I want to visit
As a Brazilian it is simply unbelievable to see people fully dressed on a beach. This definitely doesn't happen in Brazil, people would look at you with a huge question mark in their eyes
I have worked on HOT farms in OZ and a few ladies from Korea would cover up , now im not putting words into another cultures mouth , but i believe they cover uop as much to protect their skin , either they are sensitive to it , or its part of their secret to looking so young

It also might happens because Korean's beach is way colder than brazilians beachs. Even though, it's interesting to see people acting so different from us in a place like that.
In the past, it wasn't like that. Most people wore a swimsuit, especially bikini. There was even a bikini street but now, i don't know why, maybe after rash guards became a trend in korea, it just turned out like this

Nice video of Busan. I been there several times. Nice city to visit. They have a huge Flea Market there. Also this where they film a lot of their shows and movies. The Hollywood of Korea.
One very important thing I have noticed about South Korea: when a Korean girl speaks English with a Korean accent, it is SUPERCUTE! ( 한국 여자가 한국 억양으로 영어를 말할 때 그것은 SUPERCUTE입니다! )

I really loved Busan a lot. As an european person, I was really moved by Seoul the first time. But Busan seemed to just be a perfect place to be. My dream is to live in Busan, very near to Jeju island too... But I dont have enough money unfortunally. Thank you for this video. By the way what is the name of the place at 53 minuts ?
