I like the idea of Jon not being a pov character again after death
Well put Robert , and mostly agree how Jon's resurrection will go. It is also interesting to note how much different magic could be at work / drawn upon ; fire magic via Mel , blood magic via Shireen's likely sacrifice , greenseer magic (via the Wall , Bloodraven and Weirwoods in close proximity) , ice magic also via the Wall and / or if the Others venture ever closer while Jon is still dead. Will be interesting how the exact particulars shake out and which magical types may or may not factor in.
And def agree on how epic getting a chapter or two of Jon warged into Ghost hunting down those who murdered him would be ; even more so if the Nightfort is at play with that vengeance , which would be quite fitting given the Nf's history. The time Jon spends in Ghost (which may be considerable by the time of resurrection) will certainly change JS and make him more wolfish - seemingly more aggressive , decisive , protective of his pack etc. Also will be interesting and epic if Jon's eyes turn red similar to LSH and / or his hair turns white or streaked with white post-resurrection ; that much more symbolic (on multiple levels) and bad-ass if that happens.

i can see it except I don't think he'll be burned much if at all, i think a repeat of what dany did to birth the dragons is possible and his skin will be untarnished like her's was
Except we've already seen his hand burned so I doubt he will be unscathed like Dany.
I have my doubts about that , a lot of blood magic / sacrifices were at work with Dany's pyre which is why she survived those flames as GRRM clarified. Targs are more heat and fire tolerant but not fire-proof unless magical intervention. But in this case Shireen's burning compared to all the blood / sacrifices connected and leading up to with Dany's pyre (Drago , Rhaego , Mirri , horse(s) etc) is considerably less. Also dragon eggs petrified or not are magical and of course hatch during the process. Just seems way more magic at work to facilitate that sort of fire protection for Dany and GRRM has hinted how miraculous that was (Dany's pyre) and somewhat a one-time thing unless similar magic used again.
As ridiculous a request as this is, I'd love to see a bookshelf tour Robert. I think it's always fun to know what books people keep close
Marry this theory with LML's that Ghost's body has to be destroyed for this to happen, and that Jon's pyre will mirror Drogo's. Shireen is tied to the pyre with Jon's body, Ghost-Jon tries to rescue her but is instead consumed which forces his spirit back into his body.

I so agree with you that would be a great way to tell Jon's story.
Martin has talked about LOTR and that he wouldn't have brought back Gandalf, as a fan of Jon I hope he comes back but I wouldn't put it past George to just leave him in Ghost for good, or even darker having Bran warg his dead body 😢

I just put out a video about this! I think your exactly right, my thoughts are that this burning might also cause the greyscale in Shireen to “wake again” spreading this disease at the wall
Just let him stay dead. So he will come out the flames like Dany. I'm hoping this was a glamor and Jon is not dead or has been stabbed. He was not dead at the end of the book.
That's assuming GRRM actually writes anything, seems to doing his best to avoid it
I think that Jon's spirit merging with Ghost's and him coming back changed is fairly obvious, we've had several hints about that already.
I do agree that Shereen is going to get burned, Melisandre is willing to use kinsblood for her magic, and the wildlings will agree with Shereen being burned.
But I'm not sure about Jon being put on the fire. I quite like the idea that he's the prince that was promised but everyone has misunderstood what it means, he is the prince that was promised to the Others. They will take him, at least temporarily.
I think it will be a combination Bryndon Bloodraven Rivers who like Jon is blood of the First Men & Dragon as well as a Noble "Bastard" legitimized by the King .
& Bran "Oh you can't raise the dead" Stark. I think possibly the greenseer/blood & fire magic will (Ghost acting as a "Soul Jar" ugh I hate to admit it but I think our Wierwooded Pup 's days are numbered) Will have Jon as - still Jon remembering himself not just the doomed to repeat whatever actions/feelings he had before he was raised but truly Jon AND Ghost (not that he won't put down his traitors.
Side note Melisandre will figure out that Jon is alive in Ghost because we will hear and see him BARK/GROWL AND HOWL.
And who knows, I hope Ghost survives as he was a good & loving companion to Jon. Even if BR warged him. Ghost was Ghost much of the time and Jon was a good and loving companion ❤️❤️ even a brother (as the rest of the wolves are related.)
I think he will have to go, so Jon can be a Dragon. Maybe even legitimized by Dani. Maybe even able to sire children.. I keep think shes going to die in childbirth. We keep seeing examples.
Jon will remain to raise his DAUGHTER? Only death can pau for life.

Or or…and just hear me out! …DONT bring back the Gary Stew super magical hero that can do no wrong! That’s a NOVEL idea if I ever heard one. Dudes such a shit character. No one else is like this in the entire story. It’s outright absurd what a youth novel protagonist he was by the last book and I just want him to be dead. Because 1 dimensional trash character with not a single flaw on his perfect halo ridden head. He’s just Rey “Skywalker” on steroids
