Love seeing them in environmental context so much! The limestone, silt, turtle shell, and flora are the parts that make alligators and the Everglades what they are. Your content is immeasurably cool and intelligent. I really don’t know what more I could ask for.
These solo diving videos with your commentary are absolutely amazing and some of my favorite stuff I've found on youtube in a while. There are great nature/wildlife channels with a full team and production, but it feels much more personal and magical knowing it was you alone looking for and finding these animals.
Creepy is right, Chris! At one point I thought you were reenacting a scene from that famous 1950s B movie "The Creature from the Black Lagoon" although in real life (like that famous stuntman actor) you don't look anywhere near 'creature-like'!! Very cool and brave, brave, brave segment with your usual great narration!! Jim C.
I watched this with my mother, she doesn't pay much attention to wildlife or UA-cam in general, but she was glued to the screen with this! I explained to her the purpose of the scutes or osteoderms, told her they were pretty much the real-life equivalent of dragon scales. She was really impressed. I do wish we knew more about how effective that armor really is for alligators and other crocodilians. Such a fascinating adaptation.
The gator hanging over the cliff was so awesome! Those first few photos really captured some amazing and unique perspectives of him on the rocks and among the plants. Looking at it all from the bottom is unreal. Just beautiful!
love these videos man. I'm sure it's been asked before, but what's your plan if an alligator chases you? Are you more or less relying on the low probability of an alligator pursuing you, or do you have in mind some sort of strategy to survive if this were to happen? 10:36 I would love to hear you elaborate on handling this situation.
Another enjoyable video! I'm catching up with your videos. I like that you emphasize greatly "not to be you" and do not worry I am no intention to try your technique. I am content just watching the crocs and gators through my computer monitor. Crocs and gators are very dangerous animals and people need to understand that. I really impressed how calm you are and stressed that you are a professional with many years of experience. I also like the way you treat them with respect. You don't talk badly to them or hit them. Its great! I'll be in Florida next summer and I'm thinking that maybe I'll take your gator tour. (I said "maybe" lol).
I appreciate you’re a professional with extensive experience, but as someone with no education or experience in these matters, I cannot get my mind to understand why a human getting in such close proximity to these predators, even with calm movements, is not routinely met with aggression. Kudos to you sir, doing what you love. Stay safe brother.
Alligators are relatively chill, but what doesn't make sense to me is how these alligators (who he says are waiting for prey) do not see a human as prey. Perhaps they see a human as too big? Too risky compared to something like a fish?
Absolutely love your videos! It’s a way to get ‘up close’ and learn about them safely through you! Thank you two for your awesome videos! Hi from Melbourne, Australia 👋🏻
So...what would you be able to do if the alligators end up attacking you? Do they give up relatively quickly after missing a bite or would they keep chasing?
I didn't know eye injuries were common among alligators, so interesting to watch, going to go through your other ones, for once youtube recommendations was on point
I would have someone with me in a boat nearby. However, it's been drilled into my head to never go diving alone. I can't say I haven't broken safety precautions before, but I never tossed them aside so much that I went swimming with alligators. :)
Thanks Again Chris For the Awesome Video Today on Exploring the water ways of the Everglades , So Cool !!! “ It’s NEVER A Great Idea To Go There With Gators in the Mix or Water Moccasins In the Water !!! ONLY Professionals should do that !!! You Always Tell People NOT To Do It !!! I Just Hope That They Listen To You !!! You Always Have Very Interesting Information on All the Animals That You Talk About !!! Thank You !!! “ Keep These Awesome Videos Coming !!! “
Its so cool you guys posting alot recently. Its gotta be tough with a full time job amd tryin to edit videos. Much appreciated. Love your vids. I bet you can find some cool meg teeth in the places you go.
Keep up on the youtube channel and keep a strong marriage. The algorithm has decided that 2022 is your year and the two of you will be able to keep this going for a while if you keep up the solid work that you both put in. Thus spake the stars and fishes.
This was fasinating. Just curious when you say that if the alligators were to try and attack you would know how to handle the situation, what exactly would you do?
Great video Chris! Have you ever kept any of the turtle shells that you found and would you ever think of having a raffle or something for your viewers?
“Oh just a human skull, no biggie “ 😉 my eyes nearly bulged out of my eyes when you said that’s what you thought it was and yet you pulled it up fearlessly. Kudos to you
Hola me encantan los cocodrilos a la vez que le tengo muchísimo pánico quisiera que los vídeos fueran subtítulos españoles por favor pues no me entero de nada entonces no vale la pena verlo un saludo muy grande gracias
Ladies and gentlemen we have found the apex Florida man Im kidding as a fellow diver I love the content I wouldn’t want to even touch something like this I get freaked out in safe waters 😂
Does the alligator see you when you that close to them? Do they see the camera? I would think they are opportunistic feeders so why dont they attack you? I realize this takes great skill and years learning this animals behavior. Is it because they see you as non threatening?
This is what I always wonder how it like when in underwater of big river, how about tryin to diving in some huge lake? And what will be if it was a croc?
Man I know it’s not possible but damn do I wish we could tame American Alligators and crocs like we have with dogs and cats because they are by far my favorite animals and I wish I could have one as a pet but I know that’s impossible

One of the coolest channel I've discovered on UA-cam
I'm from Sri Lanka and love this, and so curious to know what safety measures had been followed and how to react if a sudden attack happens
The gator hanging over the cliff was so awesome! Those first few photos really captured some amazing and unique perspectives of him on the rocks and among the plants. Looking at it all from the bottom is unreal. Just beautiful!
I always love to see your underwater adventures, Chris. Stay safe - I hope you post many more!

Because American Alligators are not African Crocodiles. Different demeanor. Plus, he is not flailing around on the surface like prey.
Alligators are relatively chill, but what doesn't make sense to me is how these alligators (who he says are waiting for prey) do not see a human as prey. Perhaps they see a human as too big? Too risky compared to something like a fish?
absolutely LOVEEEEE these videos!!! so relaxing yet informative. thanks so much

You are safer than us peasants at home because I am sure the alligators know that you are a professional.
very cool Chris! U need to come out to San diego again! Good times. Love seeing you diving in random spots in the Everglades
I appreciate the disclaimer. Your a very courageous man! 😖😳
So...what would you be able to do if the alligators end up attacking you? Do they give up relatively quickly after missing a bite or would they keep chasing?
You sir... are fearless
Brutal video! When the gator was disappearing…that was creepy..Thanks for sharing your amazing life! 😉🤗🐊
I'm just saying this guy deserves WAY more views.
I didn't know eye injuries were common among alligators, so interesting to watch, going to go through your other ones, for once youtube recommendations was on point
Wow, so fascinating to see what's under water in the glades
Nice pictures and videos!
Hehe the nose angles of the gator at 8:08 is so funny

You have some balls lad. I live in Florida and I'm paranoid about going to the edge of canals.
I’m in Florida and I am always mindful of Chris’ advice that if it’s a body of water, assume there’s an alligator.
That’s very wise, actually. Large crocodilians do most of their serious hunting at the water’s edge.
Awesome photos!!
You have balls my man. Big ones. Again, love the content.
You are insane man … hope you prosper always … good chilling videon
Every time I see this videos I get very scared of a water moccasin snake coming up and getting a nice bite, stay safe and love your passion man!

Thank you! Please share and help us out❤️
Omg I had anxiety watching this whole video but man I loved it ! You sir are one brave man that’s all I have to say lol
Very informative.
I don’t Know how you do it though!
Definitely one of those where “don’t try this at home” is for sure!
Great video!! Do you ever come across pythons on your dives?
please chris, watching you makes me nervous but i can't stop watching. please be careful.
Always interesting, great to watch. Thanks for showing.
I will never feel the same about those bubbles coming to the surface of my neighborhood lake again 😱 0:01
The amount of mud and dirt inside that turtle shell at the end was insane
Great video and the photos are works of art! Do you sell prints?
I really enjoyed your video. The photos at the end are excellent. Thank you for sharing!
Wow you captured some beautiful images!

I mean, with all those alligators around I wouldn't be surprised
Thanks. This was great as I love gators.
Been watching you since your tv show started, you have helped change the public's views on gators.
This guy is very important to the world

Good vid. I like
Bump comment 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Were you guys on the Gator Boys tv show?
Does the alligator see you when you that close to them? Do they see the camera? I would think they are opportunistic feeders so why dont they attack you? I realize this takes great skill and years learning this animals behavior. Is it because they see you as non threatening?
So... have you ever found out any human skull before?
Was it just you in the water
This is what I always wonder how it like when in underwater of big river, how about tryin to diving in some huge lake? And what will be if it was a croc?
bro I'm watching this a few days after you actually did this sitting behind a screen and I'm scared shitless
Another great Video! We should definitely hook up and film some stuff!
Could that be a retained / stuck eye cap?
No, alligators don’t have eye caps. It’s the nictitating membrane.
Omg i woulda been freaked out thinking you found a skull. Cause its totally possible in south florida
👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Would you ever consider doing a video of stories where you were almost attacked?
Hope everyone is having a great day!
Love it
You know what don't worry about it I definitely will not enter any water that could have alligators, crocodiles, or any fish to just be sure
epic
I thought I clicked on a "That Chapter" episode
So thats what waters In Africa look like, more clear that I thought.
Incredible
Such a scary place to swim.
Man I know it’s not possible but damn do I wish we could tame American Alligators and crocs like we have with dogs and cats because they are by far my favorite animals and I wish I could have one as a pet but I know that’s impossible
Hello everyone!
Noooooooo way I’d b n there ! 😬
What would you do if an alligator started showing predatorial behavior?
Keep up the 🐊 education .
I get so nervous for you, but I tell myself, “At least it’s not a crocodile.”
