Somehow i was waiting for a video showing ds emulation like you did but i had no expectation for someone to upload it anytime soon. You got a new sub cuz you made my day, big thank you man 👍
Glad I can help. Someone else was looking for NDS on the a30 and asked in the comments. I'll usually try my best to do a system showcase on a device I have if i get a request
This was the exact video I was waiting for. Can't wait toll my a30 comes in the mail. Could you do a video with dreamcast stuff if you havent already? Im just interested to see if anything runs decently and what settings you use. I hear Rayman 2 runs ok so id use the DC version over the DS one if so.
I may have to try Mario 64 DS version. When playing the N64 version the A30 tends to overheat and at some point powers off the device. I am using Spruce as well.
I like the pocket ability of this and the rg28xx, but this one has a joystick and wonder which is good to play during travel in outside environments and lighting conditions, not under direct sunlight ofcourse
Took my rg28xx and a30 outside to play. I tested a soccer game and a space sim game for bright and dark gameplay. A30 is ok at max brightness for bright games but almost unplayable for dark games. Rg28xx is good for bright games and mostly playable for dark games outside at max brightness
Important question, how does Final Fantasy Echoes of Time play when it comes to casting magic? My A30 is coming, but watching this I just realized that the original DS title was heavily reliant on the touchscreen for casting spell combos later in the game.
Drastic is evil. It killed so many cfw for me and now it killed my spruce os card 😅 I had the same with muOS recently. Do not shutdown the device while playing to savestate and shutdown like you do with other systems. There's a risk of corrupting the sd card and the device won't turn anymore. Edit: I managed to turn the device on again, but game switcher doesn't show up anymore. I wonder if there is a way to force game switcher to ignore drastic 🤔
It might be possible but the spruce SD card is actually very easy. Just get a blank SD card and extract all of the files from the spruce GitHub release onto it. Nothing special required

100% man Mario 64 ds is pretty much the same game anyway so it's not a real loss.

I want this for soul silver. But idk how or where to roms and do that stuff man 🤦🏽♂️
Man, I would love that great amulation of the DS in the switch lite.

The touch screen stylus can be managed by the joystick. It is possible but it will be awkward as you need both screens showing
Damn, was afraid of that 😢
Awesome vid
How do you manage to make the ds games look so clean and without those ugly kind of pixels? Great video
In drastic you can enable Hi-Res models which renders the models much cleaner but it also requires more resources and might make some games run slow

Nice
Do you know if there’s a way you can buy an SD card with spruce on it? I’m not entirely sure how to do all the SD card stuff

@@RetroHandheldGuides I took the time to figure it out, for some reason though it doesn’t want to cooperate
Fat32 format
@@degenerate8228 I didn’t realize the firmware doesn’t come with the games
@@BigBoiEvan04no CFW has games mate, would be massive copyright issues
how much ds games consume the battery?
I believe that NDS sets the clock to default which means you'll get about the same battery life as SNES or Genesis gameplay
@@RetroHandheldGuides gotcha, thanks for the information. it helps me a lot, mate
Can it do high resolution? It wasn’t working too well for me.
No I wasn't able to get it to run hi-res well at all
Puede con los Castlevania?
Yes, it shouldn't be a problem
