    Great Video Hawaiian Dan!! I have looked at this PS 437 and ALL your videos on it for months now. I've got just a couple of questions before i pull the trigger for Xmas please! Where can one get that extra Bow Yoke Bar you had in the bonus video? Can I raise the seat with a Seat Pedestal and finally does it really weigh 58 pounds without the Transom? Weight is my biggest concern as i live in an apartment on the top floor. No way I could get a kayak up and down but, I sure could lift a 60 pound bag. Ty in advance kind Sir!

      Aloha @edq5505, mahalo foa watching and da kind words. You can call Sea Eagle at 1-800-748-8066 and request the custom camera mount bow yoke. I can't say Sea Eagle recommends it, but some customers use a pedestal. However, you will want to take it slow until you get used to the change and remember to always put safety first. The hull itself weighs #58. With the transom, it's #68. I find using a folding hand cart to be extremely advantageous for transporting. The last thing I strongly recommend is buying directly from SeaEagle.com and adding the additional 3-year warranty extension for just $99. It's an exceptional way to protect your investment and is well worth every cent. I hope this all helps and that you love your Sea Eagle for many years to come! Aloha 🤙

    Hawaiian Dan : Just bought my first accessory a Stealth QR2 rod holder for the PaddleSki. Stealth says they are compatible with Scotty & Cabelas mounts. Went to screw it on & the holes do not line up. Figured perhaps its the curvature of the pontoon. I can attach it slightly catty-corner with two screws. If i swap out the Stealth base with the Scotty i should be fine ??? My second rod holder will probably just be a "clamp on" style that i will attach to the transom.

    • @SeaEagleBoats
      @SeaEagleBoats  Рік тому

      Aloha bruddah Hunter, thank you for your purchase, watching, and hopefully subscribing to the channel. I'd be very careful mix matching parts and accessories. Scotty products are certain to work with Scotty products. Mix matching other parts and accessories could damage your Sea Eagle and the other vendors won't cover the expenses or loss of. For instance, the Scotty Universal Deck Mounts for use with your Scotty pads take 7/8" high-grade stainless steel bolts. If you use longer screws, it will damage/puncture your Sea Eagle and leave you with a very complicated repair. If they are not high-grade stainless, they will rust.
      The Scotty mounts are designed with 4 anchor points aka use of 4 ss bolts. This has been thoroughly test by Scotty to assure securement. Wandering away from such could lead to a lost of gear and very bad, possibly wasted day on the water.
      The clamp-on style rod holder is cool but takes much more room than the deck mounts. Which can also be attached to the transom. Something you want to keep in mind is the room needed for the motor and tiller.
      My advise when rigging your Sea Eagle is to mock everything up like when actually using it before making things permanent. That way you can make the necessary adjustment and dial everything in perfectly before making things permanent.
      I hope this advice helps. Stay safe out there, always wear your PFD, keep spreading da AaaLoHaa 🤙, and have fun, fun, fun! Chee-hoo!

      The Mercury 6hp has a 0.3 gallon internal tank. The test was 9.37 miles on the internal tank. So a full gallon would be 31 mpg for the Mercury. That is at a planing speed of 14-15 mph.

      Aloha Alin and thank you for watching! We are currently looking into the possibly of offering the bow motor mount for the 437 PaddleSki. The piece that Hawaiian Dan fabricated is 43" long x 7" wide. The entire assembly is very secure and the handles have a minimum breaking strength of roughly #220. At the time of this video, all Sea Eagle's are accompanied by a 3-Year Extendable Warranty. The warranty can be extended to 6-Years at the time of purchase for a minimal additional fee. Hi Hawaii Dan, I just ordered the Paddleski 437 and plan on rigging it up for fishing. What do you use to keep the fish you catch. I see how you have the fuel tank, battery and looks like a dry bag. Where do you keep your tackle box and cooler?

      Aloha Eric @bass3587, congratulations on your PaddleSki purchase. You're going to love it! It's going to work nicely with your truck/camper setup. You are correct that I use a fish kill bag for my catches. I found that a few gel ice packs keeps cold for about 12-15 hours during summer. Sometimes I bring a hard box cooler. Both the cooler and tackle box fit behind the seat. When I score a big catch, I keep it in the fish kill bag, under my legs, or upfront. Another great video from you Dan! The spec section of the Sea Eagle 437 indicates a 15" gas outboard shaft but your video incates a 1103 Torqueedo long shaft. I have the Torqueedo in the standard shaft, which seems longer than the typical 15" gas short shaft. So I am thinking that my Torqueedo would work quite well onthe 437. What do you think? I look forward to viewing many more of your very helpful videos. Thanks. Vic Heckler

    • @SeaEagleBoats
      @SeaEagleBoats  2 роки тому +1

      Aloha bruddah Vic, great observation. Yourself and the Sea Eagle specs are correct. A short-shaft gas engine but long shaft Torqeedo is the recommended pairing for the 437ps PaddleSki. One of the issues is there is no standardization in reference how the shaft lengths of boat motors are measured. You'll find many manufacturers measure the shaft length differently and from different reference points as well. Torqeedo is no exception. Also, from my personal experience and insight an additional issue is that Torqeedo aims to build and market gas power equivalent motors but for some reason fails to follow the same well proven designs. If you look at the thumbnail from this video ua-cam.com/video/Iy3-tAZEz0o/v-deo.html you'll note a specific design features of the Honda 2.3 gas motor that is missing from a somewhat equivalent Torqeedo 1103C. Did you spot it? The Torqeedo 1103C is reported to be equivalent to a 3 hp gas outboard but is missing the very important cavitation plate. Because of such the Torqeedo 1103C needs to sit deeper in the water to prevent cavitation at higher speeds. The Torqeedo 1103S and 1103CS with both work with the 437ps PaddleSki but tends to cavitate just above 5 mph. So you'll lose access to the Torqeedo's full potential of 8 mph. It's also quite a bit noisier because of the shorter shaft depth. However, we are in the process of testing my theory by fabricating an anti-cavitation plate for the Torqeedo 1103C. Thank you so much for watching and the kinds words. Both are truly appreciated. I hope you'll consider subscribing to the channel for more information videos to come. I also have a separate fishing channel if you're interested. It's TalkFishTV.com. Wishing you and your loved one nothing but the very best life has to offer. Much aloha my friend. @@SeaEagleBoats Dan, many thanks for sharing your deep knowledge of and expeience with these products. I hope that you are successful in developing an anti-cavitation plate for the Torqeedo. I have an older 1003, but I'd guess it would be compatible. I got delivery on your Sea Eagle 126, but have not yet put in the water. I have owned and still own many types of small vessels (e.g., inflatable boats, hard and inflatable kayaks, plastic boats, folding boats, fiberglass skiffs and a variety of propulsion schemes such as fin and propeller paddle drives, electric trolling and outboard motors, two and 4 stroke gas motors {including the Honda 2.3}). Is it possible (or reasonable) to rig the 437 to hold 3 people (under 380lb total) on occasion for shorter trips? ...or occasionally tow a 2 person kayak behind, using the engine?

    • @SeaEagleBoats
      @SeaEagleBoats  2 роки тому

      The 437ps PaddleSki™ is rated for 2-person and it's recommended to stay within the specifications. It is possible to tow by an experienced captain. I like the ability to put a bow mounted trolling motor. Only a couple questions, looks like the bow mount only works for self deploying trolling motors correct? Also it seems very far forward of the boat, are you able to step that far forward and reach to deploy and stow the motor? Or do you have to rig some sort of cable system to use it. The video didn’t actually show him using the bow trolling motor.

      Aloha bruhdah Jose, this is Hawaiian Dan with SeaEagle.com. Thanks for watching! We hope you subscribed to the Sea Eagle Boats UA-cam Channel for more informative videos to come!
      You are correct that the bow motor is a self-deploying unit. It's the Minn Kota Riptide PowerDrive with i-Pilot Saltwater Bow-Mount Trolling Motor (www.amazon.com/Minn-Kota-Riptide-Trolling-Bluetooth/dp/B01MFAMC56/ref=sr_1_4). It weighs in at 43 lbs. and easy to deploy and stow as is but be sure to subscribe to the channel so you don't miss out on future videos showing it in action.
      An auto-deploy/stow is a super cool concept that I'll be sure to test feasibility. The weigh difference is an additional 28 lbs. See Minn Kota Riptide Ulterra Saltwater Bow-Mount Trolling Motor with i-Pilot GPS (www.amazon.com/Minn-Kota-Riptide-Trolling-Bluetooth/dp/B01M8L2MQC/ref=sr_1_1) and that's quite a bit more bow load. As with most small watercraft, proper weight distribution must be implemented at all times.

It has all the bells and whistles of a Minn Kota at half the price. I get emails every now and then about refurbished fish finders and have a Lowrance Elite 7 Ti with side/down scan. The Lowrance Elite Series sounders can be network integrated with MotorGuide electric motors. I've found over the years the money I've put in is always well-invested. I used to only be able to afford cheap products but had to replace them every year. If I could get two years out of them I could save up for say a better reel that would last much longer. I've come to realize over the years that product competition is so fierce anymore that we pay for what we get. Now I pretty much save up anymore for the lower end of the high-end product. I still love my Ugly Stiks! Affordable and extremely durable.

      @@SeaEagleBoats Decided to purchase a Minn Kota Terrova ipilot, so pretty pumped about that one. Found a local guy selling a slightly used Garmin Echomap 93sv with that GT56 sensor locally for $500, so I might snag that today as well. Would've been nice to integrate the trolling motor with the chartplotter like you've done with the Motorguide/Lowrance combo though! Won't be able to connect the Garmin that way, but didn't really like the Humminbird options as well as this Garmin and the price was hard to beat! Thanks again for the info and can't wait to get this thing all set up and on the water:)

It also has the "One-Boat Network" and can be integrated with Humminbird sounders so everything can be done from the sounder. This is the one I have minnkotamotors.johnsonoutdoors.com/saltwater-trolling-motors/riptide-terrova?id=13336 but I want to upgrade to the Uterra auto stow and deploy model minnkotamotors.johnsonoutdoors.com/featured-products/ulterra. Jump to "Front/Bow Motor Mount Installation: (09:42)" I've swapped out the Watersnake motor for a Minn Kota with spot-lock and also used it on my FishSUP126 and and 14sr Sport Runabout and continue to push the boundaries of Sea Eagle products. @@SeaEagleBoats That doesn't work pal, I have the board (straps, not screws, used for fishfinder). The water can splash on the motorhead when not in use/folded down. I do plan on rigging something up in the summer, but I'd love to just buy one. I'd suggest a broad that would allow the motor to go to the very top and when not in use fold down where the head is not exposed to splashing water. It's windy here in Ireland and the fishskiff does trolling speeds with no motor (Keeping it green), a spot lock is a powerful tool.

Absolutely agree that the spot-lock is an invaluable tool!

    Hi Sea Eagle Service, My State is requiring me to register the PaddleSki 437PS with the DMV, but I don't see a serial number on the unit. I understand that If a boat is not marked with a hull serial number, the owner of the boat must make a request for such a number to the builder, manufacturer, rebuilder or importer of the boat. Do you know where I can get this?

    Nous venons d'acheter le Sea Eagle 437ps. Très satisfait avec moteur électrique et aussi moteur à essence. Mais le problème a été pour pagayer. Nous sommes 2 à pagayer et le Sea Eagle a tendance à virer d'un bord ou l'autre mais ne va pas en ligne droite. Quoi faire. Merci

      @SeaEagleBoats  Рік тому

      Bonjour @francelacroix8938, merci d'avoir regardé et félicitations pour votre achat. Bienvenue dans la merveilleuse famille Sea Eagle ! Laisser la quille de votre moteur légèrement dans l'eau lorsque vous pagayez fonctionne comme un skeg et réduira le lacet (se balancer d'un côté à l'autre). L'utilisation d'un coup de pagaie élevé près de la coque réduira également le lacet. Cette vidéo peut aider ► ua-cam.com/video/8mJOpyQeolM/v-deo.html.
      Enfin et surtout. Certains ont collé ces skegs ► sea.gl/BLUESKEGSKIT sous le PaddleSki à environ deux pieds devant le tableau arrière. Merci encore d'avoir regardé. Nous espérons que vous envisagerez de vous abonner à la chaîne UA-cam de Sea Eagle Boats pour plus de vidéos informatives et de nouvelles versions de produits à venir !

      @@francelacroix8938 , Notre plaisir, il n'y a pas de souci à casser ces skegs. S'ils se plient. Réchauffez-les simplement avec un sèche-cheveux ou laissez le soleil les réchauffer et les remettre en forme. Often concepts and designs are brought forth but need the interest and support from people like yourself in order to proceed into production.
