I have that!!😃 Thanks Norm for reviewing that game ☺️ It's really fun and you can use the real figures too! YO JOE!! 💪😎
Those other games I mentioned are called g.i.joe live the adventure 80's and g.i. Joe mission Cobra HQ 200?.
@@jeffreyscarbroughboardgame2822 cool man that's Rad. That's a fun game isn't it?
@@BoardGameMuseumer Youre always welcome buddy.😉Oh that's cool! Ya I must've forgotten about the card game. That sounds like fun!😃 That would be great if you reviewed it.
My sons loved G.I Joe! My family still love board games! Always a great review! I always chuckle when you mention that your wife beats you! Hehe! Thank you!
Now I wanna buy this and all the figures to replace the cardboard pawns. This looks really great.
Norman you did such an awesome job of reviewing the g.i. Joe board game. I gottit for $20 too and I bought extra pieces of player markers and buildings for that set and the 92' version that has the Nerf shooter in it and vehicles. In that 90's one you get the g.i.joe Jeep and the Cobra hiss tank. Ya gotta find that one bro garauntee you're gonna love it!😃But if you want you can use just the 80's version that you have and buy the shooter and the two vehicles seperately and play that way. You can pretty much do whatever you want like how you described in the video. That's what makes it so cool about it. The other g.i. Joe game is 80's and it's basically you just go around the board battling bad guys. Now if you win a battle you earn medals and your opponent does the same and that person can take away your medals. You can lose and gain energy too, like in a video game☺️It's fun! The 2002 game is you just gotta roll n move and get to cobra hq in the middle of the board and go back to your starting point by grabbing the secret files in the Cobra HQ and going back but you need a boat to cross the river and go back cross the river. While doing this ya gotta battle and defuse bombs. Whoever gets the files and makes it back to start wins. Same idea as The A-Team board game but a little different. I recommend that game too as well. ☺️ If you like combat mission battling board games yer gonna like The A-Team board game.☺️ Later Norman have a good one and hope all is well buddy.
You're always welcome buddy☺️ Oh that's cool I must've forgotten about the card game. That would be great if you reviewed the card game. I love G. I.JOE too☺️The toys are freakin awesome! And knowing about the G.I.JOE card game is only half the battle! G.I.Joooooe!🎶💪
we played this game like crazy as kids. those stupid buildings didnt like to stay together tho. we used to give characters special abilities too lol
Did you get to play the game with the actual toys
Having that option was a good idea: it gave extra value to the primary toy line and adding some game play mechanics helped too
I had a friend that had the game and loved it. Looking back, I think it needed something else to determine winner. Like making it back to your HQ after breaking in. Or something other then just getting in the HQ. But I loved it. Thought about getting it a few times, only haven't because its so big.
The Patch makes this game expensive now. I got a complete one with patch coming and wanted to get a good look of how the game plays. Great video.
Never had this game, and this was the first board game after Hasbro’s purchase with Milton Bradley in 1984, and then licensed it a year later in 1985, they also made the “My Little Pony” board games where it geared toward young girls during that time, long before the Bronies came into an existence. This was one of those first board game based on the Hasbro license.
MB continued to put out board games based off of successful game shows from Mark Goodson until 1986 when the 4th edition of “The Price Is Right” was released, it was the final edition until MB lost the rights to the Mark Goodson game show based board game, and also “Password” was the final edition after nearly 30 years since it first came out in 1962 by MB.
The game looks similar to “Chess”, “Statego” and “Risk” which were the classic strategy board games of its time.
Another sweet video!
Great review my kids and I still have fun playing this game. How would one get a copy of the special abilities cards? Great Idea by the way!
another amazing review
pretty cool ideas to expand the game play man
Thank you!
What happens after you brake into the support
If you are at the pow and you get your men out do all of them inside and the one who broke in all go back to your side
Thanks for always replying to all my questions you are the best board game unboxer/reviewer and you explain so well here and there I'm uncertain about something but that always happens whenever anyone tries to teach me something
Its been 35 years since i played it, but i thought the initiative winner moved one team, the other player then moved their two teams, the first player moved his second team, in clockwise order. May have just been a house rule tho. Also, i have no memory of watching this video two years ago
What happens if your whole team ends up in the pow camp?
What's the die roll for Kung Fu Grip? :)
Just a thought but it would be fun if you can use the action figures in the game of course your have to make up rules for them
@@BoardGameMuseumer thanks
It’s like chess
Where can I get the special abilities list? Thank you!
