- Merry Christmas!
Returning for its second year, Tweetsie Christmas is a new annual event at Tweetsie Railroad between Blowing Rock and Boone, North Carolina. The park is transformed for the holidays with thousands of Christmas lights, headlined by train rides every half hour behind former East Tennessee & Western North Carolina 12. I visited the park on a bitterly cold December 7, just two days before the region was blanketed with two feet of snow. While there was little snow on the ground during my visit, the sights and sounds of the 1917 ten-wheeler hauling trainloads of happy guests on a Christmas adventure was more than worth the trip.
I am so going to have to go back! I haven't been up there since the summer of 2015, and i've longed to return. Love the engines!
I LOVE THAT TRAIN!!!! :-D
Merry Christmas, them lights look beautiful there
Merry Christmas to you too!

SmokyMtnSteam just asking
All of my usual places in Tennessee & North Carolina. I'm almost definitely heading out west to see the Golden Spike celebration in Utah, and I'd like to go back to Cass when they reopen the Greenbrier Line.
SmokyMtnSteam what will happen when they reopen EBT for tourist operations
Did you go see Pere Marquette 1225?
I wanted to see 1225 this year but it didn't work out. Maybe next year.
Does this cost a lot?
Tweetsie Christmas costs $44 for adult admission.
