What a fucking beautiful song, this is just on the next level. Fresh, heavy and catchy. Jordan is a legend and the boys in Architects are total beasts!

As one of the five people who actually really enjoyed Classic Symptoms, I'm fully on board with this. Feels like some of the best aspects of those songs combined with some newer energy + FTTWTE-ish ambience
I dunno, I'd rather watch them having fun with music again than sit here wishing they'd make another All Our Gods.

I really like the direction they're going in, I assumed Seeing Red would be a one-off heavy song but it seems like they're adding some more punch to their sound again, I loved FTTWTE so I am totally on board too, and I don't want another AOGHAU, I know they'll never make something like that again, I was just worried they were going down a path that I just wasn't a fan of since that's never happened before, I love everything they've made 2007-2021 so it would suck if that happened

As another one of the five people who really enjoyed classic symptoms, i love this. Love that Sam's so confident with all his cleans. Probably some of the best cleans he's ever produced. the song was so well done. A hidden gem for happy-architects enjoyers, THE XCERTS - Ache (ft Sam)

I really hope the rest of the album has songs similar to this and they offer Jordan Fish a fulltime role.

First time hearing this band (I know I know) and I guess I have mixed feelings about it…What album would you recommend as a solid introduction?

Here's a long ass book for you lmao: They're one of the best metalcore bands ever, you should start with Lost Forever // Lost Together, and then All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us, Daybreaker is an absolute masterpiece as well, knowing the stuff you've recommended tho, their super old stuff is right up your alley, check out the songs "follow the water", "you don't want away from dismemberment", and "buried at sea"
All Our Gods was the last album they did with lyricist/guitarist Tom Searl who died from cancer after the release of the album, his guitar playing and lyrics were just incredible, All Our Gods is considered one of the best metalcore albums of all time and is about tom coming to terms with death as well as the state of the world from his perspective, LF//LT is similar but focuses more on the state of the world and universe and has some of the best riffs ever, Daybreaker blends their older mathcore sound with ambient/celestial themes and is the first album where Tom really developed his signature sound, after All Our Gods they released Holy Hell which is about grief and loss after losing Tom and was written in the style Tom used and quite a few of the guitar parts were written by Tom before his passing, the album also has a lot of lyrical references to their older music, FTTWTE is where they change it up, it was a very electronic and experimental album and drifted from Toms sound but still had it at its core, however their 2021 album I was not really into, Curse sounds more like FTTWTE with cleaner vocals but the production is even heavier
You'd probably like their first three albums a lot since they are crazy and have a lot of similarities to some of the stuff you've sent me, but Daybreaker, LF/LT, and AOGHAU are three albums you absolutely gotta hear, holy hell too but only after those three, they also have an album before Daybreaker called The Here And Now but it is more of a post hardcore / emo thing, I absolutely love it but it is definitely an outlier!

[TLDR: 2 old albums good + Old man yells at cloud]
@@BabyBatPlaysthank you for the extended reading material lol… I just listened to Nightmares (start from the start I suppose), and it was good…you were right, definitely up my alley…I appreciated the “older” more raw production style on it, and it being just a pretty straightforward tech-y metalcore jam.
Moved on to All Our Gods per the comments’ suggestions and I can see why everyone holds it in high regard. I liked the shouty vocals in lieu of straight cleans in most places, seems a much better fit, but the clean vocals that were used were purposeful and worked within the context of the song and the music (something I feel a lot of bands have gone astray on in modern metalcore… cleans because “we need cleans, man” seems to be the current situation).
But yeah, cool record all around. Note: I didn’t get a chance to follow the lyrics due to the nature of my listening setup
I’ll try to check those others you mentioned here soon.
I think my main issue with the song in this video is the same as my beef with a lot of the modern stuff, the production is so polished and the clean vocals so omnipresent that there’s parts of it I feel like I could hear in a car commercial and it wouldn’t be out of place. I’m from the older DIY scene rocking stuff that was recorded on a tape recorder in a garage, so my ears are wanting a certain “vibe” when it comes to heavy music and modern production techniques seem to offend that sensibility sometimes.

Yeah I really dig this track.
I feel like people are hating cause it doesn't have that "shock value" that Seeing Red had...
