About Me:
My bio is pretty random: In short, I am a professional singer/songwriter from Toronto, Canada who moved to Manila, Philippines which sorta became my Hollywood because my first UA-cam channel MIKEYBUSTOSVIDEOS grew popular due to Filipino comedy videos. Meanwhile, I'm also a big biology geek who is obsessed with ants, so I built an internationally operating ant business supported by another popular channel called ANTSCANADA, and well basically, today I travel and tour around the world doing what I love so I wanted to start this vlogging channel, in hopes to encourage you guys to follow your dreams no matter how random, by showing you what happened when I followed mine! You just never know where life will take you when you listen to the yearnings of your heart!

A lot of commercial cat foods contain rice. Also if they get a stomach flu the vet says to give them only boiled rice with hamburger meat or chicken breast.

I didn’t regret leaving Philippines and coming to Canada 15yrs ago. I was also ambitious and was young with lots of dreams. 10yrs ago, I went back to Philippines to get married and it was such a joyous time that I get to spend with my family that I forgot how it was like to be with them just like what you said. Coming back to Canada made me realize how much I’ve missed my family. I remembered crying a lot on the plane back to Canada. BUT it was all worth it because I now have 2kids of my own. We will be going to Philippines soon so they get to finally meet my kiddos. 😊

One of the major things I love about you Kuya Mikey is how you manage to read (and reply) to the comments on your vlogs… I am fond of reading the comments section before finishing the vlogs just to have a glimpse of how the flow of the vlog will be and then most of the time edit it… hehe… I really am happy with all the interactions that the #MabuhaySquad shares- their experiences, the good, the bad and the ugly…😅
I am an OFW too, and just recently crossed my 10 yr mark here in the UAE. And I cannot imagine how time has flown. Thank God for technology but I agree with you, some things will never be the same- and if you are not there on the most difficult time (like sickness or death), the healing will take more time…

Mikey talking about presence im literally bawling. I am away from my son and I barely see him. Missed birthdays, graduations, Christmas and New Years just to provide for him. We need to do what we have to do. I left 2017 and just saw him again last 2022 and i stayed in the Philippines for 2 1/2 months and it was such a sweet time with him devoted my time for him 24/7 and gave him what he deserves i even took him out of the country with the whole family!just came back again to work and hopefully i can see him again 2025 for his graduation! ❤️
The sacrifices we have to do for the future of the kids! Time flies! Persevere and it will all be worth it!

I just recently bumped into your videos and have been addicted ever since. I really love your science side, and I didn't know you had these parodies that are actually cute for kids. Yes, that Sombrero Chandelier looks great and, it’s perfect for the room. I gotta say, this pool is more than “worth it”, it seems to have become a central point of the entire estate and it’s so very clear how much you love it. Honestly, that makes me so incredibly happy!
The Green Room is so well done! Everything is so tasteful and it all matches the theme, very well done RJ!
The Yellow Room, also very well done but, I must say I think it’s my favorite. I absolutely love the vibe of that room at sundown, I got the goosies at that view.
I feel I must also comment, I think the Aviary is a smashing success in your home. It’s one of those very eccentric features you almost never see in a home but, you (and I think only you) could really make it work as well as you have. Those birds are thriving, it’s very clear.
I almost fell off my chair when you called RJ a “PotHead”, seriously, that was the funniest thing you’ve said in a long time! I love looking at pots, they can really make a difference in the home. We have different tastes but, the idea is the same. Again, very well done RJ (fellow PotHead, LMAO). I saw an amazing pot on a property that I fell in love with, it was 10-feet tall and almost 15-feet around, beautiful (it weighed almost 800 pounds).
HAPPY BIRTHDAY RAFA!!! This is one cool kid, for sure plus, he’s a May baby so, that. Makes him extra cool, LOL.
It was awesome to hear you reflect (I really love these moments, they feel so intimate) on your history. I think we all have memories and feelings like this. You have an amazing family and support system and, I believe they played a huge part in you becoming who you are today even if they were remote at the time.
I love that you’ve found your purpose in PH. I believe that when you moved, that was exactly what you needed to do. I also believe that today, you (and RJ) would excel anywhere, together. I’d even be so bold that the Universe knew you needed to be in PH in order to meet your Life Partner (RJ). There’s quite an example here.
Pots, Plants and Decor, there’s a new channel there, LOL.
Those conures are so cute!! I get the impression they’re instigators and the work together to “stir the pot”. I also think that Marcelo is the type that “falls for it” every time. Very cute!
If I got a wish, it would be to have a vlog more puppy-centric. I love all your dogs and would love to spend more time with them like we used to do.
When you said “Flap This Wings” I had immediate (and very nice) memories of Ligaya. I think if you’d sang “Baby Mine” we’d all be in a puddle. Your birds and beautiful, obviously lovingly cared for and thriving. It’s so funny the dogs are so intent on them and how the birds play with and tease them.
I’ve had dogs that were natural swimmers and some that needed encouragement. Our Lab/Rottie mix was a seal in a previous life, I’m sure. He would swim for hours. My Dalmatian was reluctant to swim but, I got him a flotation jacket and eased him into the pool and he loved it. He would actually bring me his jacket because he wanted to go swimming.

Dinner at the pool bar, that was epic! Seems that has potential of a romantic dinner one day, LOL.

I think RJ, different colored art glass would look great behind the bar in that cubby shelf system, maybe in different shapes of drinking glasses. Like Uranium glass, pink glass, ruby etc. Just a thought.

With my family there in the Philippines and me here in the US, it really is so very meaningful and amazing when I get to go back. Christmas was my first time back in 3 years (COVID). I'll be heading back on June 10 for a month. Can't wait. What you talked about, being apart from family and loved ones. Technology helps us to stay connected, but a real hug beats a virtual hug hands down.

Hello Mikey. I can relate. I moved from California to RI when I was just 19. I left my mom and my aunt and cousins. I feel that I abandon them. But I did went back to visit them and I cried a lot when I saw my cousins. It was to late for me to see my mom. She pass away that I couldn't see her one more time. This has been many yrs ago. Now I am 51. Till this day I regret leaving them. I now live here in RI. Like you said we were young and we want to explore different places. I now have 2 grown children that I don't regret having them in my life. So I know the feeling. God bless to you and your family. ♥️♥️♥️

I am so looking forward to the official home tour!! I have been watching for so many years and my heart is so happy for you and RJ ❣❣I do have a thought. Your yard it so stunning. When you were talking about the birds and nests, the bright green machine was so out of place. Have you guys considered installing some sort of fence or screen, to camouflage it?
Ive moved all over since i turned 18. Im 41 now and live in Florida while my family is in Michigan. Yes i miss them but you have ti forge your own path. I remember when i turned 18 there was a really popular song at the time by the beastie boys, no sleep till Brooklyn. I was at a party in my hometown around the same people doing the same thing we always did on the weekends and the song came on and i was like im moving to Brooklyn. Everyone was laughing at me saying i wouldn't do it. 2 weeks later i was loading up a uhual looking at my dad crying at the end of his driveway. He thought i was going to die in the big city lol lol. I didn't die lol but i left NYC a few days after the world trade center attacks. Ive lived all over the US since and im thankful ive had the opportunity to see all the things ive seen and gained the experiences.

Mikey, I was screaming at my phone. 🤣 Put them in a pot by themselves. Sometimes, other plants will take on the flavor of hot peppers if they grow close together. I learned that one year when I planted jalapeños next to sweet bell peppers. Well, the bells were hot. 🤣

i agree with the other comments... RJ has an eye for design... and you Mikey is genuinely impressed, just ilke me... RJ can put together furniture with different colors and designs, decorations, pots and lights with different designs and colors and themes... they are all different, but they look good together... I, on the other hand, will choose the same color palette, same theme, same design elements to put together... in the beginning,, it looks ok... but it gets boring... you get tired of looking at it... but in RJ's design thing, because they are all different, you don't get tired of looking at it because you look at different things every single time... it's the same thing overall, but you get to notice something different every time... hope i make sense hehehe...
The green room has always been my favourite after your master bedroom. However, the yellow room has really caught my eye. It looks so inviting now that RJ has tied in all the furniture, bedding and decor pieces. Very well done! ❤
