Kaka was loved , adored, admired, respected by the likes of Dilipsaab, Rajsaab, Dharamji, Amitabh...and that is no mean achievement. Kaka opened new chapters of entertainment in the film Industry...Kaka brought Manmohan Desai, Yash Chopra, Salim Javed and of course helped Amitabh keeping him in limelight when Amitabh was struggling. Last but not the least Kaka was instrumental in resurrecting the career of our Legendary singer Kishoreda. That is one man doing so many things for so many key people of the Industry. Kaka will never be forgotten...his fans keep increasing with every new generation.
Yes ur right he was Instrumental in popularizing Kishore Kumar songs. The fact of the matter is Dev Anand & SD Burman kept KK in Bollywood till Aradhna. As per Rajesh khanna when he went to KK requesting to sing songs in Aradhna KK asked him why should he sing as his background? KK was mighty impressed with his reply that he decided to sing in ARADHNA( till then Rajesh khanna's movies had flopped despite being an excellent actor) & rest is history. Amin Sayani's documentary after KK's demise says so.
