Haha it is rather large! I made the fittings to use perforated flasks, and have jumped to 4.5"x8.75" Which is lots of fun to fill up with all the small things haha :) Had to make some basic compression plates to make rubber moulds with, using them to clamp on both sides of the mould, and a kiln instead of a vulcaniser. Including the sprues at the earliest stages has saved me so much efforts when making complex flasks up xD
A beautiful design, masterfully made. I am curious though as to how you got the resin one out of the mould before the metal was poured in? Did it just melt and flow out in the kiln?
Thank you! Yep, that's the idea! The resin is made of a material that's kind of similar to wax. So when the kiln slowly heats up (reaching a max temp of 1350c) the resin model completely burns away, leaving a cavity in the mold in the shape of the model that can then be filled with the molten bronze. 😁
Beautiful work! I would love to get to this level of creating.
Thank you! I really appreciate it 🙏
Fit for the mightiest warrior! Just wondering why you didn't print the sprues?
I would have, but this is the largest flask I currently have and it just barely fit lol. So I wanted to adjust the sprues by hand on this one.

@@noviceartisan sounds like a great setup! I try to include the sprues on some of my smaller castings. It's a really nice time saver 👍
Very 👏 satisfying 👏 Well done, friend!
Thank you so much!
Drop that STL file 🤠 this is so cool man! You should definitely sell these!!
Thank you! I'll be sure to add a link to the STL when it's ready 👍
The hand looks like an alien hand xD

Very nice. I like how you sprinkled a little salt at the end of casting for added flavor. Very important.
It tastes terrible without it.
What kind of vacuum machine do you use if you use one?
I use a homemade vacuum table that's hooked up to a 3 CFM pump.
