- Hi friends, welcome back to our channel! 🫶 In this video, we recently visited one of our favorites, the Big Bend area of Texas and wanted to show you the beauty of the area as well as tips in case you decide to visit this amazing place! 🏜️🌵
Big Bend is known for its stunning desert landscapes and natural beauty. The unique geology of the region makes for breathtaking scenery with towering mountains, sweeping vistas, and bright blue skies. The area is made of several eclectic towns including Lajitas, Terlingua, Big Bend National Park and Big Bend State Park!
We were here during the monsoon season and experienced unforgettable surprises that we describe in our video!
During the monsoon season, the area is known for its rain showers, thunderstorms, and flash floods. The monsoon season generally occurs from July to September and brings much-needed moisture to the desert landscape. The frequent rain showers make the area lush and green which makes it a fantastic time for hiking and enjoying the outdoors. However, flash flooding can be a concern during this time, and it's important to be mindful of the weather conditions and avoid low-lying areas when thunderstorms in the area. 🏜️⛈️🌵
