No one does better backing vocals than Richie Sambora. Huge songwriter, SINGER and guitarrist. He makes the guitar bleed, yell, sing with so much passion, he is the best of all times!!!

I take it you mean the composition and I agree. But it’s also hard to find him play a bad one live. Rarely makes any kind of meaningful/noticeable mistakes. Great player.

He can muffle a note and not lose the rhythm at all, so he can just add that "I intended to do that" without it being noticeable. Definitely an underrated guitarist and composer and also a gifted musician. He also has a great voice, so he has the whole package!
A great and under-rated player, he's left a huge hole in Bon Jovi. That solo in Dry County worthy of any 70s guitar here and played with so much more soul and feel than his contemporary 80s shredders.

Same here, I'm not superhardcore Bon Jovi fan but they do have some amazing songs with perfect solos and Dry County is more that a solo, it's just story told musically after those verses and chorus and in the end nice and slow landing from musical sky back on earth and in his arms.

And what's good about Richie, he's never scared about improvising. Every time a bit different. The one and only guy that feels well what to do with strat, tele, les paul and shred Floyd rosed guitars too.
As drummer he’s my favorite guitarist of all time, he may not be as skilled as Steve Lukather, Jimi Hendrix, Eddie Van Halen or Bryan May (just to name few), but as of style of playing he’s definetly my favorite to listen to. Legend.
