You not only made gorgeous ATCs, you gave many of us the spark we needed to get our art going again. Thanks - as always - for the boost! You're the cat's pajamas, no pun intended.
Cat that’s so awesome and I’ve watched this again after 2-years, and it was as fresh as the day you made it!!!!! That glittery nail polish I’d forgotten about, but, I’m going out on the hunt for some of that tomorrow!!!!! It really made those hearts ❤️ extras special. And you certainly aren’t lazy, your very sensible using the Q-tips instead of brushes, your one clever Lady...Thank you so much Cat I really love 💕 this xxx Mags
These are absolutely, positively just theeeeeeeee CUTEST! I love every level and took lots of notes watching your video. Excellent directions and massive inspiration. Thank you!
Fantastic ATCs!!!! I Love all the colors and bits and pieces you used to make these adorable little art cards!!! I I like using chip board too....it really gives them more stability. A sweet touch with the butterfly, dragonfly..etc... Each little card has its own uniqueness!! I love them!! Big Hugs!! Claudene
+mskaykrafts Thanks, Claudene! They were so much fun to make! And I really love how they look when the big sheet is cut into small pieces. 😊 Big hugs!!
This is my first time watching. After the scraps, which I thought were good, then you painted. Then the white, which I questioned, then cut them apart and all the embellishing it is like wow, beautiful! I have learned so much from you in this video. Thank you!
So much beauty packed in such tiny little cards of inspiration, thank you for recording your work Cat, it's a great reminder to just create and have fun...💕😙💖💟❣
Love your batch of ATC’s, so colourful and beautiful! I think making a masterboard and then cutting it up is a fun way to start because it takes the pressure off when you don’t know exactly how you want them to look! Always love watching your videos!💕🇨🇦
Hello Cat Hand, your ATCs are lovely. Thank you so much for sharing. You are a fantastic teacher and a kind soul and besides that, you have such as soothing voice I could listen to you all day. Thank you again.
Lovely ATC's Cat, they turned out awesome as always, love watching you create your beautiful art. A joy to watch. FABULOUS. Thank you so much for sharing, great video. Take care now, Ali xx
Soooooo pretty and soooo colourful Cat!!! Love your ATC's and loved watching them come together .... in't Mixed Media Brilllliiiiaaannntttt! lol TFS lovely lady Mucho love Jane :) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I just adore you!!! I love to watch you create. You will have me doing mixed media before I know it. I do adore my gelli printing. I was playing some with my grandson the other weekend and I love brusho's watercolor. I can't remember from all of my videos watching you if you have played with those or not but if you haven't, you have to. Anyway, what I wanted to tell you was we were painting popcicle sticks with the brushos. Just put them down on a cheap paper plate and then did our thing. and of course you wet it down so they do their thing and then we had these gorgeous sticks. Well of course I had to throw some card stock on it because it was just too cool of a background. Awesome it was. But then the next day what I loved even more was the paper plate. All of that color was just so beautiful so I thought, I'm going to use that paper plate somehow. So I took that paper plate and cut it in quarters. Then I was like, ok now what, well what I did, and of all times in the world I don't have pics. That is so unlike me to not have taken pics of everything, but, you can use your imagination and do the exact same thing, with those quarters I started to accordion fold them and it would make like a fan since it was a 1/4 fold of card. Well they ended up being the coolest embellishments and I thought of you at the time and thought that would be something that you would like to do. So remember that the next time you are using a paper plate as a "catch all" for whatever project you are working on, It was so cool. Thanks for always sharing with us.
YOUR work is amazing! I am inspired to get a cereal box and get started. Thank you so much for sharing. Watching you work is a real treat for me. Thank you so much.
Thanks, Cee - I’m so happy to hear that. If ATC-size is what you like, check out my new series for 2022! I think you might enjoy playing along with me! 😊 ua-cam.com/play/PLzaNcrENNXOw8J5vrjTA5ZDaHwOz773Xz.html
You’ve inspired my Sunday morning. Sitting here and happened to see I have small butterfly, dragonfly and flower stamps. Getting the ink and paints out, need to have a go at some creativity.
Hi, lovely ATC's! the white highlights on the harts in the end picture made them even nicer too 😊. It is amazing what a difference cutting up something does. Hope you are having a good weekend. TFS Hugs Joanne x
Hi Joanne - thanks so much! I know - I love stuff cut into small pieces!! I am spending lots of time with family this weekend and enjoying it quite a lot. :) Hope you're enjoying your weekend, too! Hugs! :)
I just watched your chat with Barb. You are my favorite mixed media artist and loved putting a face with the voice. You seem to be as lovely as a person as your work is lovely! Keep giggling and art on!
Fabulous and gorgeous as always, and loved your use of the nail polish, it's something I use regularly esp if I make a mistake, it covers them so well, lol. Tfs xo
Thanks, Mary! Oh, that's a bummer! Maybe you could put a coat of Mod Podge (or something similar) over the nail polish to seal it? Thanks for watching! :)
I absolutely love ❤️ these ATC's You have such an amazing talent for making something out of nothing. By that I mean, you put down a load of things that anyone else would think 💭 as nothing and you turn it into GOLD!!!!! And just that extra touch of gold around the edges just finished it all off and made it. Thank you so much Cat
A little glitter nail polish trick, if you rub the first coat on a makeup sponge & blot that first layer on, followed up by another coat or 2 the regular way & you’ll end up with a ton more glitter bc the sponge absorbs the polish that first round which basically makes it glitter that’s just sticky enough to stick, then the next layer or 2 evens it all out - it’ll probably work just the same on your art as it does on my nails & it’s magical on the nails lol
Love ATC's.... those are words to live by for sure!! If you take an 8.5x11 cardstock (portrait) you can get 10 ATC's from it...if you google how to get 10 cards from 8.5x11 you can see a visual.... as always LOVE your work and I always walk away with a smile and joyful heart...TFS...xoxo stephie
This was so inspiring!! I have never made ATC cards but I think I will give it a go this weekend!! These turned out soo neat looking!! Thanks for much for sharing and the motivation! New friend here for sure 😊 have a great day!!
+Carol Burrows Yes, they are fun and it's a great process for greeting cards! Thanks for the nail polish tip! I appreciate you watching and commenting. 😊
*Hello, I absolutely Love this video & how you say cereal boxes will work. I'm not familiar with that paint what type is it & would acrylic paints work? I just absolutely love the process & the colors & all you did are magnificent!!! Your video here is the Very Best I've seen. Thank you every So Much. A couple thoughts watching this I might try tissue papers instead of paints too. Also, I might flick white paint instead of the breyer for a different look along with playing with your methods. Still watching. Definitely a full watch with Thumbs up & saving to refer back to. 😊😊😊* Sharon in SC
Thank you for all your kind words, Sharon. I used acrylic paints on these cards. Great ideas, using tissue papers and splattering paint. Happy creating! 😊
Thanks for sharing!Did you use gel matte mdeium to stick the background papers down with?? I collage scraps and bits onto those junk mail cards you get in the mail. I have a bunch of them collaged and stamped and some have a little gesso on the here and there. I was just getting ready to pitch some of them, as they are too thick to make junk journal tags or cards. A little paint and a little more love and ta dah! ATC's!! (Never mind I don't think too much of my artist abilities, but Hey, ya gotta start somewhere, right?) PS I love to use nail polish to add glossy accents on things. It is also good to put on those paper brad fasteners to make them into pretty enameled colors
Cat I love how you made these ATCs. That was so enjoyable to watch. They came out beautiful and I like how the nail polish turned the hearts colorful and sparkly. Putting the gold pen around the border really gave it a nice finishing touch. Very pretty ~~ janet : )
5.15pm 11/29/2023 great video. I've been watch a few on ATC to see what they are about but all I saw they were 5 to 6 yrs old. Do people still make them? What product did you use to glue down all you different papers? They turned out so pretty and interesting.
Thanks so much! Yes, many people still make and trade Artist Trading Cards. I used Collage Pauge to glue down my papers. Mod Podge would work, too, or just a 75/25 white glue and water mixture. 😊
So beautiful! Do act’s have to have certain components. I’ve only watched them being made a couple times but each person used book print, paint, and stamping. Tyfs.
Thanks, Cindy! It is my understanding that ATCs can have any kind of art on them. The only requirement that I’m aware of is the size - they should be 2.5 x 3.5 inches. Also, they are to be traded, not sold. 😊
Thank you for sharing your process. I love how you used the ink pad to "distress" the cards. I often feel very overwhelmed with distressing because so many craft items are used and it seems like I'm trying to keep up with the Jones with crating supplies. Lol. May I ask what pain you used? It's absolutely beautiful 😍 I LOVE those colors.
My pleasure - I’m glad you enjoyed this video! 😊 I used Dylusions paint for this project. They are no longer sold in the jars, but are now in little bottles.
These are so awesome! I can't wait to make some of my own. What was the name of the nail polish? I'd like to see if our Dollar Tree carries it. Thanks so much!! :)
I enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing your work. (When you speed up the video I have to mute the sound. Not sure if you're looking for suggestions but if that were the case I would say skip the music.)
You're my absolute favorite mixed media artist. I can't tell you how much I enjoy watching your videos. You give me so much inspiration! Thank you :)

These are so awesome! I can't wait to make some of my own. What was the name of the nail polish? I'd like to see if our Dollar Tree carries it. Thanks so much!! :)
+Itaya Lightbourne Thanks! The nail polish brand is L.A. Colors and it's called Color Craze. TFW! 😊
