- I can't control what happens outside of my home (for the most part), but I can build a peaceful retreat for my family inside our home! Today I'm prepping for an upcoming DECLUTTER! I'm taking back my house y'all! 🎉
Today we are tackling a massive reset in my house! It's been an eventful week and I wanted so badly to just let it go, but we got it done and it feels SO GOOD! I can't control the things outside of my home, but I sure can try and build a peaceful retreat for my family inside! In this video I'm trying to just put everything where it needs to go, and then I will tackle those spaces later. Baby steps! I have so much to catch up on, so if you need a friend, You know when something just feels DIRTY?? The space may be picked-up, but it still just does. NOT. feel. clean... Well, that was my kitchen. Here's 5 places I cleaned that brought my kitchen back to that "clean" status and made a WORLD of a difference!

⭐️ Today's video is a collaboration with LUE BONA. I had so much fun working with them and I'm loving my new Windsor barstools! We had two upholstered bar stools before and they were just not functioning in our household of 5. Between the kids having friends over often, my nieces and nephews, and even some adults (cough, cough, MICHAEL 😂) I knew I was not in the stage of life for cloth chairs and I'm perfectly ok with that! I had a few comments about a recall that just came out on the Bissell stream shot, so be sure to fill out the recall form if you have one!
Great job Brandy! Yes to parchment paper on top of the cabinets. I would bet the previous owners had the cardboard to elevate recess behind the molding in order to set decor on it. Yes to oven liners - definitely awesome! I also got silicone black thin liners on Amazon for the sides of the stove (between stove top and counters). Easy to cleanup!
I would highly recommend using the Thread Nanny Oven Liners on the bottom of your oven (they slide underneath of the heating element on an electric oven). Then if anything spills or boils over, it pretty much lands on the oven liner which is washable and reusable. I do replace them every so often. Also for getting burnt on messes off of your oven racks, I suggest spraying them but then you can go in and lightly scrub them with a damp pumice stone to remove any stubborn stuff. Just some suggestions to make future cleanup easier and less time consuming.
I purchased a silicone mat for the bottom of my oven. No more burnt on spills! Great video!😊

Great video I clean the top of my cupboards three times a year and that’s sufficient in my appliances. I clean under them once a month. I pulled them out and clean under them because I have two cats in the hair accumulates under them, but you did a great job you have a beautiful kitchen yoube safe and God bless

Don’t forget the filter on the dishwasher. Those get nasty
Dishwasher detergent will get the crud off the oven racks in n the bathtub.
Newer subscriber here but I had a thought I wanted to mention about the oven cleaner. There is a dot on top of the can where you are supposed to line up the nozzle. If you haven’t thrown it away yet, maybe check to make sure it’s lined up correctly. That could be why it stopped spraying.

Hi! I decorate with books/coffee table books.
So motivating - I use parchment paper on the top of my cupboards. It minimizes cleaning. I roll it up, throw it in the garbage, wipe it down and lay down parchment. again. Saves extensive scrubbing. Thank you for sharing.

Great job Brandy, that’s a lot of hard work. I put wax paper on my cabinet tops, then 3 to 4 times a year I take it down and put up new. I only have to dust lightly before putting up the new wax paper. I really enjoy your channel, thanks for keeping real.
I love using the yellow Windex on my stainless steel! It works well! I can’t stand cleaning my stainless steel in general, but the Windex works!

I bought oven liners on Amazon. They are black sheets that you put on the bottom rack of the oven. You don't put it on the actual bottom of your oven, you put it on the lower rack!. I've had my oven for two years and the bottom of it looks brand new. It never gets dirty. The oven protector sheets are washable and I change them out every 3 or 4 months. The only thing I ever have to clean is the door! Those sheets are a major game changer!! 😀❤
Now those would 100% be a game changer!!! *insert me running to my Amazon app* The bottom was definitely the hardest to clean, especially with the heating element!

You did such a great job. It is amazing that everything gets covered in grease... I don't fry food. I actually cleaned my kitchen this morning and found my light fixture covered in a film. (HOw did I miss that?) I love Jamie-she has taught me so much. How old is your older daughter? You don't look old enough to have a girl that mature!
My kitchen cabinets reach to the ceiling. Thank goodness. In our first house they didn’t. And it was always so gross. I need to pull my refrigerator out to clean behind it, and the inside. I can’t open the doors far enough to get the bins or shelves out. I think there’s still a piece of tape on the inside from when we moved in. My blinds are off white. But most of the time they are a pale orange. I clean them all the time. But it doesn’t help. The ones in my kitchen window are always filthy. I like having them. But they are a pain to keep clean.i was changing the batteries in our tv remote. And the back fell in the crack between the countertop and the cabinet. So I had to pull my stove out. It’s amazing how gross the sides get. I also had to sweep and clean the floor before I put it back. And I need to clean my oven too. I’m sorry, watching this is making more work for me. I bought a Bissell Steam Shot. And I got an email from Amazon that some of them have been recalled. So you might want to check on that. I don’t like my stovetop. I have a glass one too. It’s so hard to keep clean. You can put your oven racks in a trash bag with ammonia. It will clean the racks.

Oh yea I have both fume and fume free(this one just has to sit longer). I didn't even know the heating element could come out🤣🤣 I usually set a cup underneath it to hold it up so I can clean under it🤔🤔. I think before I started cleaning behind/under my appliances they prob looked like that but I prob do it every few months now so it's not too bad.
Lemon juice???? Do you mix w water? I always see people doing vinegar and I'm not one that likes to use that for cleaning even though people say it's good..now lemon juice...I could def do that in microwave!!
Windex or any glass cleaner? Currently have the sprayway, use at end on glass top stove but not stainless steel however if it works I'd def be down to try it!
I also use a SOS pad for the oven racks as the scrubber after the product sits.
I love my Bissell steam shot...I don't use too often but it's very handy. I think in Jamie's last vid she mentioned there was a recall on them about people getting burned. There's a link in that vid telling how to get refund if that happened. Luckily I've not had an issue!

Did you receive a notification about a safety recall on the Bissell steamshot? They have recalled over 3 million of them because of the risk of the steam burning you. I submitted the refund form for mine yesterday.
