Rin The Anarchist Loves Puddi you're right! there is no official language here! I think more people should learn more than 1 language. English isn't even the most spoken language in the world.
Correct! The most spoken language is Mandarin Chinese. Although, I don't think I'm going to learn it, since Chinese is one of the most difficult languages for English speakers to master, and I struggle with learning Spanish.
TotalHufflepuff English is actually the most spoken language in the world if you count the people who were taught it as second, third, etc. language.
Mandarin Chinese is the most spoken language as their first language (most being in China), but MANY Chinese people also know or are encouraged to learn English.
English may not be an official language in the US, but it is still a very important language to know. That’s why so many non-English speaking countries try and teach it to their young people

As someone who’s adopted and has been bullied for it, my heart goes out to the DC girl.
Yeah I would've loved to hug her and tell her she is loved.
Personally, if I were the principal, I would have said to the parents, "You either be kind to this young lady or I will can this trip and no one gets to go. Understand?" No one should ever be made to feel like that, and this isn't coming from someone who's adopted, but someone who has been abandoned by friends and bullied by kids and adults alike. I'm fortunate to have the support I do and that was probably the reason I never developed issues, but it's just...so sad for anyone who has to put up with that.

Anyone ever complains about my sibling with a stupid argument like that and this Aspy is decking them right then and there, full stop.
Amanda M
I feel you, bro. Though I don’t have a disabled family member, I am very close to several people with disabilities, including my Deaf ASL teacher. His daughter is also Deaf, and a pretty famous streamer on Twitch. He’s very proud of her (we all are tbh), and likes to show off her content to his classes. One time, he was a bit angry when we came in, (which is odd since he is a VERY patient person) and when we asked why he showed us a post she made on Twitter, which included a video of her signing (with subtitles). Most of the comments were about ‘gang signs’, and how she shouldn’t do them. Some people are just so.. ugh.
I'm from the UK and this is a story from my University days. I was once out with a friend from my dorm, this was in the early 2000's when I was studying and my friend had a joint and spinal disability. His spine was extremely curved, so he couldn't stand up straight, as he was almost doubled over with his spines curve and his joints didn't work properly, so he couldn't walk very far at all and even then it was with crutches. Most of the time he was in a wheelchair. During this outing, to the local shops, we met a Mega Karen who was "Offended" at the sight of my friend in his wheelchair and made a scene. She was asked by nearby police to leave us alone and as we walked/wheeled away we could hear her STILL complaining that something as disgusting looking, as my friend, shouldn't be allowed outside to scar children and "normal" people like her. These idiots are everywhere.
Hold my beer. 😉

I've noticed that people like this EM just like having an excuse to yell at people. They see someone do something innocuous, formulate outrage in their heads around it, and proceed to throw a fit. They don't actually care if it makes sense or not. I've been yelled at for the stupidest things by extremely outraged Karens. It's comical. The last one screamed non-stop at me as she crossed the crosswalk in front of my car because my front tires were on the white line (I was in a turn lane and had to stop abruptly when the light turned red and couldn't back up. It's a hard intersection to turn through.) It's a very wide crosswalk. She had _plenty_ of room to cross the street. She didn't even have to veer around my hood as she spit insults at me...she was able to walk straight from curb to curb. I just smiled and waved and told her to have a nice day.

"I've got a complaint that your entire party has been rude and cussing... Ma'am, do you know what they're saying?" "No, not at all,-"
Wtf?
If I had a child and they were attending that school, I would take my kid out of that school and put that school on blast. That school would be investigated for so much shit, it would be shut down before the next semester.
Tania Bams I googled DC private school sexual misconduct and found an article from The Washington Post. All I could say was "whoa" and "wow".
I cant stop thinking that the parents are at fault too, if you barely can afford that school, your kid will stand out in a bad way. In my country some people get to choose a college that the government will pay, it includes the more expensive ones, and the public ones. Most people chooses the expensive ones (is a program for the people that cant afford college themselves), then they come to the realization that the people who go there and can afford it, make fun of them, and cast them out, I still believe is pretty stupid to choose those places even when you know you wont fit, and most of all, you wont have all the equipment to work out your college degree, this is what I was thinking when that story came out. Of course, people should know better, but you don't have to be a guinea pig to understand that there is a problem
Tania - That's wonderful in theory, but the funny thing about people with a lot of money is they also tend to have a lot of influence/power. "Hello, police? The principal of this prestigious school hurt my daughter's feelings" wouldn't roll down the sidewalk, let alone fly. It wasn't until a large number of rich people got together and decided to do something that anything at all got done.
Camilo - 100% agreed. They tried to do right by their daughter in getting her into a "good school", but didn't realize the social ramifications of being the "poor kid". My husband went to a school like that in California. Thankfully, he was a gentleman to the girls -> girls liked him (usually as a friend, but that's ok) -> guys didn't pick on him for fear of losing out with the girls. But he was always the "poor kid", so it was a struggle to be accepted.
Sadly private schools in DC are like that. And the public schools in DC are beyond awful. If you researched the private school options first though it would make way more sense to put your kid in a private school in Nova or something, Arlington for example has great private schools that would be like 15-30 minute commute on the train each morning and a lot of private schools just outside of the District itself even have buses to pick up kids and take them to a non DC private school.
@@Draiko1998 Not necessarily. I went to a private school when in high school. My parents definitely aren't rich (my aunt paying for half tuition), but the classmates never looked down on me for not being rich. It comes down to the entitled rich kids and entitled rich parents completely. Teach your child to not be entitled and they won't have the need to look down on someone not as affluent.

Not to mention how PSE (Pidgin Signed English) uses direct grammar (regular English reading/writing grammar)? That lady just pisses me off. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
Thanks I've been wondering if ASL had a form which uses English grammar given that BSL (just guess what the B stands for) has a form like that called SSE (Sign Supported English) but it doesn't specify anything about what sign language is actually being used for the vocabulary (is this the right word in this context?)

The problem is they were holding their own conversation it did not involve her in any way until she inserted herself so it's no different than if they had all been hearing people and had been speaking a conversation the only difference is she wasn't able to eavesdrop and know what they were talking about and that pisses her off.
Would have been hilarious if there was another group in there that started speaking Literally anything including jibberish that she couldn't understand just to annoy her....... You know what she needs to do she needs to go A-day I would say a week but let's be real she won't even last the day when anyways A-day where she has Laryngitis and An ear infection in both ears causing them to feel like an deal with sound as though she had a very high quality meant for working around jets earplugs. I'd love to see how well she does with nothing to write on or write with or type with like none of that stuff works For this one day
Hurt my heart hearing the one of the girl that nobody wanted in their cabin🥺 the poor thing that’s horrible to find out that not one person not even a teacher was on her side 😢
Any time I hear about an entitled kid wanting a computer from someone else I always think about how I would react in that situation all I know is that no matter what, no matter how many fits the kid or parent throw I wouldn’t give up my computer just because they say they deserve it.
the story about the sign language reminds me of when one of the vice principals at my high School (we had 4, one to handle the kids in each grade) was watching over the class my friend was in and got so mad and offended that my friend, who's bilingual, accidentally asked his friend a question Half in English and half in Spanish. the man literally said "we speak English in this school" (its a public school in the us) then decided to suspend my friend for a day just because he accidentally spoke one of his native languages. my friend was so mad an nearly filed a lawsuit against the school and that vp, but decided against it and instead became a voice at the school for equality and love and even started a club that focused on making the school a better place for minorities like the lgbt community and racial minorities. it was awesome, he got back at the vp by using the discrimination to his advantage. the club and story even got him recognized by a law school in New York.
Sign language in that case: both middle fingers........
i grew up with a deaf-mute friend, we encountered people freaking about us using sign often enough, it's rather sad but a reality some face.
Mom: that’s not really fair. You’re not even here most of the time, doesn’t the dog deserve an owner who will spend all their time with her?
*mom literally goes to work leaving her child with babysitter MOST OF THE TIME*
4:45 The appropriate response from the hearie would've been: "Ma'am, do you know what the word "deaf" means?"
EP: "give me your dog"
my response: "give me your kidney"
btw even if i do get the kidney they still won't get my dog. the EP would have to sacrifice their child on an altar to an eldritch god for that
Stop giving them ideas pls...
You used to link the posts from the OPs, would you be able to do that again? It was always great to see comments, see updates, and just credit the OPs in general
Names are in the bottom left, Check em out!
"She's transforming into a stage 2 Karen." LMAO! this young boy is well educated.
i actually have been learning sign language recently to allow me to understand a bigger variety of people and i still to this day love deaf people's shocked faces when i reply in sign language, their smiles always make my day
“Stop messing about with your hands it’s very rude”
Dude shoulda flipped a good ol’ bird right then
I’m learning to sign so I can help customers at my work!!! Love that story!!
The third story made my blood boil, If I see all those pieces of s*** I will put them in the hospital for a Month.
Calm down, keyboard warrior. The only thing you'd do if you see those people is piss your pants and cry. Stop being an internet tough guy, it's pure cringe

Honestly, it’s just the Mom who’s at fault. Her kid was just intrigued by people speaking sign language and likely wants to learn it because he thinks it’s cool.
My parents got a random letter from some relatives that rarely talk to us and, since I watch/listen to these so often I jokingly said “do they want money?”
How to cure cancer:
Karen: STOP HAVING CANCER! YoUr OfFeNdInG mY cHiLd!!
Cancer: Guess I can't argue with that.
Ps: I spelt "You're" wrong on purpose
"We're in America, and in America we speak English!!!"
*y'all... America doesn't even have an official language 😂*
Americanese
What is with Karen's yelling ' I won't be coming back here again' like people nobody cares they don't even want you guys there
"Boots up Destiny 2"
My response: "YEAH!!!!" 👍
THIS IS AMAZING! -Lord Shax
My boyfriend loves Destiny 2😁😁😁😁I haven’t played it though. I’ll need to play it with him sometime
I’m actually listening to this while playing D2
Not the greatest of all games but hey, still better than the first one... No offense if you like the game, though... Plz don't kill me for expressing my opinion...
I seriously was so afraid during that last story that EK oder EM would break that PC. I watched so many r/entitledparents that I was certain I knew what was coming. So glad that kid also knew what was coming and shut it down right away👍🏻
lol, "hearie can handle it"
The last kid has a fine tuned Karen detector.
All too true about hearing these stories preparing you.
My boyfriend got me a Switch for my Bday last September and i was reading and hearing do many stories of EMs and EKs trying to steal Switches.
Its something i worried about constantly when i went out with it until a brilliant plan popped into my head that i have since acted upon.
I wrote my Switches Serial number down in my phone and took a screenshot with the DATE showing. So now if some EM or even an EP (entitled person) tries to take it i have rock solid proof that its mine
Okay, cool
That still won't help much if it's taken from you but go off
You should definitely print that out and keep it in your wallet. Otherwise, the EP will claim you photoshopped it, or some nonsense. Because they are usually just knowledgeable enough to know photoshop exists, but have no idea how it works.
For the asl thing, it a like telling a kid who can’t walk or stand up that’s it’s rude of him to not get up to say hi to someone like wtf
When she was talking about being adopted and when people were being mean. Op should have said at least I was wanted
I love how the dude says a nightfall or two later as a measurement of time but it's so true they take almost an exact amount of time
Second story: "We never left the Shoney's!"
I guess she said “it was maya responsibility”
Me: * Adopts Dog *
Em: HE STOLE OUR DOG!
Me: wut?
Now I'm a very pacifistic person by nature, but if ANYBODY tried to take my pet away from me, I'd throw some hands
I had no one that wanted to be roommate with me on a trip, so they put me on a foldable bad in two other girls' room. We had fun and it was nice. The bed was also comfortable because I am used to camping. You don't know what restless sleep is until you have to put your tent on a rocky slope with only a sleeping bag beliw you.

"My son deserves a gaming PC."
Then pay for one. With your money. If that's a problem, tell him why you won't.
The deaf one really hits home for me, I’m deaf (but love to watch reddit videos) and I can say as a fact I have been refused service and had people scream at me and the people I’m with because we were signing instead of talking
