Thats the holy grail of the os fs 60 engine! I personally love the MK 2, I think it has the best of both worlds - machined head and carb with scale looking cast rockers. all the 3 variants are exceptionally well built, its crazy that roller bearings are used all throughout, even in the cam box, so robust. And man, the cam gearbox is so compact, just compliments the engine.
I have this engine in a later variant. It has the box and all the foam, tools, instructions, template, and decal sheet. It's currently mounted in my Telemaster 40, which was my first model airplane. It's a perfect match for that plane in terms of sound and performance. These only produced about 1/2 H.P. so they were real putt-putt engines. Thanks for showing.
That's cool!!! The Four Stroke prototype off a 2 stroke. I wonder since 2 strokes don't have crankcase pressure, it wouldn't need it since it doesn't have a ringed piston. The ringed on the bottom stroke must make much more crankcase pressure, were as the taper cylinder does not...
Thanks for this very informative video and showing your new beauty. I checked the comparison sheet you posted, and my engine with serial 15355 is obviously a MK.III engine. I wonder what the serial of Blaž's engine is... I remember it being older than mine, but with newer type head and carb.
Hi there. By any chance would you have a rear cover (the disc with sticker) spare that you would sell? Would really like a standard item rather than the other option which is making a new one. If anyone else reads this and can help, plz reply :-)
Ps, beautiful engine. I wonder why the machined parts- did they not expect them to be as popular as they were? Perhaps they had to build a business case prior to setting up the casting etc.
