    Adding notebooking into our homeschool is a goal of mine for the upcoming school year. This was helpful, thank you! 😊

    For years, I think I overanalyzed how to notebook. As a result the only thing we ever did were nature journals. Those have been great, but I have always wanted to add more. This last year we did more with our formal science study and some geography and I could easily see how beneficial notebooking could be. I could also see that it could be as elaborate or as simple as we wanted it to be. I am planning to add history notebooking next year for my elementary kids. I'm really excited about it! I'm going to have my high schooler keep a commonplace journal to record what he learns through his literature readings.

      Exactly--notebooking could be very elaborate or very simple, depending on the desires and needs of the individual family or student. I'm very glad that we've implemented notebooking with my oldest, I can already see how helpful it has been with being able to review what we've learned.

    We started notebooking this year for history. Thank you for some helpful tips and tricks! Our notebooks are definitely not beautiful (I should print out more things to paste in), but I have found they are still an excellent way to review what we've learned so far. We go through them every six weeks or so and it's encouraging for me to see what we've done. I'm always surprised that we are actually covering more than it feels like we are. 😂
    I appreciate your tips about how to notebook together as my kids are also not writing paragraphs independently yet, so it's helpful to see how you've navigated that.

      It's great that you're regularly going back through the notebook to review--and yes, it's encouraging to be reminded of all you've done and read together! And I'm glad that the tips for partnership notebooking are helpful!

    I wonder if there is a notebook out there with the lines for learning to write so they could try to do some of their own writing (when they want to)

    • @SevenInAll
      @SevenInAll  Місяць тому +1

      Yes! There are! I've gotten cheap ones from Walmart before and Schoolnest on Amazon also offers notebooks with primary lines!

      There are also rolling stamps that allow you to add lines for printing to a blank sheet of paper.

      We've also gotten one from Amazon!
