I did find a project a while ago that used servo-actuated surfaces along the seat to achieve something like that (I can't find it right now though) This thing also does something similar www.simxperience.com/shop/sx-gs5-001-gs-5-g-seat-711#attr= Anyways, it's on my list for if I ever get to building a dedicated sim-pit^^
I was just thinking of something like this the other day! My thought was to use a fluid for some density, such as ethylene glycol, and have that pump to the top of the head, shoulder, chest, and legs.
I'd love to see that! I did look around a bit on e-bay and found some quite affordable ones. It would take some stronger pumps though to handle an entire suit^^
Well, in case that pneumatic adjustment thing in my office chair ever shoots up violently I'm pretty much safe from g-lock Seriously though, I know that real g suits are supposed to counter g forces. This thing is supposed to create a form of feedback to represent ingame g forces, so in a way the opposite of the real thing. I know that real g forces feel differently, but I don't really have a good idea to recreate that (at least not safely, within budget and within space constraints...)
No discord or anything like that, sorry. But I wrote a summary that should give you more or less everything to get startet manueldobusch.eu/blog/index.php/2024/05/25/dcs-g-suite/ Source code repositories are linked and components are listed (+ wiring, I'm not an electronics guy though, so it's a bit... amateurish ;) ) Just a heads-up if you really want to go for it, the motor drivers I used have been discontinued some time after I bought them, you might have to look for an alternative
Attach a pulley to the back of your helmet so that every time you pull alpha, you have to counteract your head being yanked back :p
Ha, love it! Also gonna have to add some to the wrists ;)
@@ultraWrongway Full-body bionic modification is the only way. We can rebuild you: we have the technology
The realism keeps on growing. What a legend you are!
Thanks, since I can't quite afford my own Hornet I'll have to get my sim-setup as far as I can ;)
I bet. They don't come cheap these days. This the next best thing tho 😊
this is an amazing concept
Thanks, it's basically just a small-scale version of a real g suit
Dude, this is awesome! I think having such air bags in the sides of your back and squeezing you in when pulling G would be even more immersive….

This is awesome! Keep at it!!! Happy flying!
nice can add to realism
Thank you, it surely adds to the immersion :)
Bravo!

That sounds awesome, love the idea to use liquid instead. I'd love to see an implementation of that
wow....i just got an original VKK-6 g-suit laying around....maybe this thing deserve a try! 😅

so when are you gonna put wings and an engine on that sim pit
This is hilarious! Very cool but until we actually feel G’s I’m not sure what this would really do for you? Cool concept though.
but why!??? you are on a chair in your bedroom!

@@ultraWrongway By the way, you are great! i've never seen a thing like that
this is really weird
Hey man i was wondering if you had a discord server or something to discuss how you made this and tips for recreating it ourselves
No discord or anything like that, sorry. But I wrote a summary that should give you more or less everything to get startet
