I agrée. Why do American women think they have to bare all? It’s tarty.

    • @kimberlyperrotis8962
      @kimberlyperrotis8962 Рік тому

Many American women just look downright sleazy. I especially hate those super-short, ragged denim cutoffs that show the bare buttocks. Then, they complain when men stare, but isn’t that what they want? Why else let body parts hang out?! Nipple-revealing sheer or super low-cut tops are another problem. They claim they want to be respected and taken seriously, but then dress like street-walkers. It can be downright unsafe for women to show too much, or look too provocative. Many super-violent criminals target young women who look like that, because they think no one will care if they vanish! I can’t stand thinking about the terrible risk they take.

    • @hiannahgus574

Unfortunately, it seems that showing off their breasts or dressing provocatively is all many younger women think they have to offer. They lead with it. They do it to compete with other women are dressed in the same way, especially for the attention of men.

During my annual visit to France since age 14, I endeavored to be a “mini-ambassador” for my country, to do my part to repair the many negative stereotypes for USA:
I spoke French, was always calm/polite/courteous, and especially loved to dress beautifully every day.

Luckily I haven't experience the pajama thing in 12 years in US but I know it does happen, actually my European friend was guilty of it when she lived in California. But the work out gear yes, people work out and then go for coffee after their class, as well I have friends who are trainers and they do live in their workout gear as they have classes all day, fitness is much bigger in US then in Europe, I think its because in Europe we walk more but in US the cities are much bigger so you must drive everywhere and that takes your steps away. Paris definitely has the French chic vibe which I love, the timeless classic. I am going to Paris soon so this was great video 🙏🏻🙏🏻

      What does "My European Friend"
      mean. English? French? German?
      Italian? Danish? Finnish?!
Note - North America, is a Country. Europe - is a HUGE Continent. Ditto "Asia" - & watching various U S types saying "Oh that Asian man" or " My European Friend" is the height of silliness, (& it's also extremely impolite, if not very, very, rude) obvs you can swap yr trainers for decent casual shoes, NOT wear huge logos & "not wear sports gear for everyday" - except actually IN the Gym - but yr wasting the effort if you say such things. (& I say this kindly💜💜-but you must realise how truly awful & disrespectful saying such things is - you know; As if you think YOUR Country is the Only Country that counts!🙈💜- & it really isn't. Never was, actually, sorry to explain the reality of the World outside of the Domestic U S (although I am kindly explaining this to you - better it's me, than you saying this sort of thing) - as you decide to browse Hernes or Chanel OR if you're entering a half decent Restaurant or smart, bijoux Hotel in Paris (bc they will roll their eyes, talk about you in a language you don't speak nor understand - & make v unpleasant remarks -& ALL yr food will be cold OR the waiter may put something in yr coffee (or "dinner") that you don't want to consume, you know.. ouf)🙏💜🇬🇧💜🌏💜
NB) - She doesn't mean "workout in sports gear then get coffee.
She means - fat U S ppl who wear "sports clothes" & ugly, colourful on white trainers that aren't pristine, ALL day everyday🙈💜 Now remember, when in Paris; don't think that way. Think - always describe ppl (respectfully) by Nationality. (& follow ALL the rules she tells you on here.) I could bring up a few more that I've learned in Paris & France altogether (+ I speak the language so I can understand what they say about the Tourists) but it's a lot to remember, so - this will do for now. (& then you'll impress them as a "smart" U S person & they won't roll their eyes - or glance off each other etc.) & most importantly; remember - Not to be "the loudest person anywhere" - & then it will all go VERY well.🤗💜
(Note further, & I must say this, bc hopefully it's not yr fault; DO⚠️NOT watch Emily in Paris🙈💜 & do NOT mention it!⚠️That really hurt you lot🥺💜 & "Europeans, espc French & UK - are NOT happy & it just gets worse & worse every series. (Oh & espc in China - ouf) Do NOT mention it, & if they do, strongly & subtly deny ALL knowledge - you hv NEVER seen it, Never heard of it!🙏💜

@@Seraphine07F well I did see the show and I definitely don't like the show, but as well American aren't like that, the show is more like a comedy making fun of all countries mentioned within the show. The wearing pajamas or working out gear trend are def something I noticed in more well-off suburbs here in the US. It’s safe to assume they will be driving directly from home to the big stores for a couple things in a very nice, well kept community, and then drive directly home. Dressing up too nice in outfits you would only wear for occasions makes you look trying too hard and therefore you are not actually rich. Though I supposed that is a thing everywhere. But what is considered too nice definitely can vary. in the city When I moved away to a different area for work NOT in the suburbs with a different demographic and city planning, people would def stare and scratch their head at me if I bring my clean pajama to sweep dust out and about. People dress practical. And I really don’t see young women out and about grocery shopping, probably they are not very comfortable with wearing usually the form fitting leggings out and about where you never know what kind of creepy stranger might approach.

I live in the states and have seen a person wearing pajamas or what looked like pajamas in public (at the grocery market!) but this video sounds like this is acceptable in the United States. It is not.
I do agree many people here wear athleisure. I do wear casual clothing more often now but I wouldn’t be comfortable wearing workout clothing to brunch or a bar. I do wear workout clothing on the way to the gym or the park, however I understand in other countries it is more common to only change into the fitness attire once arriving at the gym.

Of course for people like you and me it is not acceptable but they do not receive as bad attention as they would if they were in Paris. No glance, nothing. Just business as usual and I was the only one amused. In Paris, people will make a comment very loudly.

@@Aliceinparisofficial Well, to be fair, one has to try hard to draw disapproving attention in cities like New York or LA. I believe that's because there are so many odd people on the streets that the locals are used to seeing some pretty bizarre manners of dress. And then there are the outright crazies who will attack you if you give them a look, so people just avoid any kind of interaction like that.

I understand that being average and dressing half naked or with no decency is the norm but Yes there is dress code in luxury boutiques and nice places in Paris. As an American, I too frown on the practice of wearing pjs out in public but it is not like half the people here are doing it. 😅
One thing about Americans, we are not monolithic. We are very diverse. While some approach to presentation may not be in the best taste, we are not a cookie cutter society. We are also not an uptight society, so everyone will not look prim and proper whenever leaving home. I will leave my gym class, in my gym clothes (with a coverup on) and grocery shop. Unapologetically 😂
While it is important to be respectful of other’s cultures, a tourist is a tourist and will not blend in. I understand that in some European cultures, it’s okay to stand extremely close or to reach over someone during shopping, but I just realize that this is likely a part of a culture or that particular person. I also understand that a number of Europeans stare at Black Americans but I don’t equate this to the masses.
