If you included everything the Von Eric's went through it would seem exaggerated. When the father developed brain cancer he held a gun to Kevin's head and threatened to kill him.
Excellent list brilliantly presented one of Gareth’s best. It’s wonderfully obvious he’s seen every film on the list and genuinely wrote his own script. Well done 👍
The Iron Claw is sooooo good. I constantly recommend it, but with an asterisks. This is the type of movie that would destroy my mom. But she would love it, too. I have a bunch of brothers (I'm the only girl) and just the thought of losing one son would be too much for her.
I keep telling people "Robert Eggers's 'The Lighthouse' is the best movie I have ever seen, and I hope to never see it again." But while that's what I thought immediately after watching it the first time, that's not strictly true. I'm looking forward to seeing it again one day -- in a theater, surrounded by other people, as it was meant to be watched.
i actually liked In a Violent Nature. I hated every single victim, they were all played so well as shallow, dull, people that it was almost a relief when Johnny got them. Otherwise, I have only seen Dashcam, which I managed to get about 15 minutes into then shut it off. I'd still like to see The Father, as well as Zone of Interest. The rest, not so much.
Dashcam is a horrible movie. I HATED that woman. For a horror movie to work, you need to worry about the lead dying. I WANTED her to die two minutes after meeting her.
I know they aren’t recent, but Eden Lake and We Need to Talk About Kevin are 2 that were one watch, and that’s enough for me. You could also throw An American Crime in that category as well.
Not a Recent Film But 1998's Ringmaster I Saw this 2 years after the cancellation of 1990's Tabloid Talk Show The Jerry Springer Show In 2018 but a year before his untimely Passing In 2022 so this movie hits differently than before also Jaimie Presley Is Pregnant with her Stepdad's child played by Michael Dudikoff from Bounty Hunters and American Ninja that Is all
Kids (1995).. Is a powerful film that teaches powerful lessons about human nature and warning to teens about how evil and sadistic teens can be ..covers cheating , HIV, drugs, teen pregnancy what looked like a murder of another teen.. One watch because it is highly graphic and disturbing
The german movie "Der goldene Handschuh" (The golden glove) about the German serial Killer Fritz Honka. Named after the Bar, where he found his victims. A good movie, but not to be seen twice.
The slasher movie I think doesn't get enough talk is definitely Haunt and Hellfest they are both really great and I think they deserve a watch for sure
this is a once in a lifetime for me. someone list a bunch of movies where i have not seen 2 or more of them multiple times. thank you. i have now 3 movies i will watch. i usually watch everything that comes out. 20 hours aday for 50 years now.
I hated Dashcam with a fiery passion. I have NEVER rooted so hard for a monster to kill the main character before. And my disappointment was immeasurable.
I have watched Iron Claw twice in theatres, and 4 times at home. It is bleak but it is a masterpiece. I love it so much, if you really wanna cry go watch a Von Erich documentary. The truth era is bleaker than the film
Sorry, but as a life long wrestling fan, I was very disappointed with The Iron Claw. They completely left out one of the brothers. And the movie moved WAY too fast! I didn't have time to get to know any of the characters. So, as a movie, the deaths really lacked emotional weight, imo. And I don't know WTF was going on with "Ric Flair"???!!!??? Apparently, the actor and casting department have NO IDEA what Ric Flair looks or acts like!
IMO Joker should be on this list. It's an extremely well shot and directed film with amazing performances from pretty much the entire cast. But it's also a merciless examination of a mans relentless suffering the drives him insane. A standout movie that's no fun at all to watch.
Speak no evil is actually a good movie. And he makes it seem like the family makes silly decisions after decisions, WHICH THEY DO BUT…. The ending to the film isn’t as bleak as it’s made to seem in video. Uncomfortable moments yes… BUT it’s an eerie interesting uncomfortable. Does has rewatch value
I was so excited for "in a violent nature". It delivers on some gnarly kills for sure, but goooood lord is it a slog! I have slow movies i love (even on this list, the zone of interest. WOW) :but as it turns out (as original and interesting as it sounds) making a movie following a non talking killer is preeeetty boring. And the killees are dumb as all get out,esp by horror/slasher movie standards lol.
Sorry but don't speak evil is absolutely a waste of time to watch..... It's laughable, delusional, incredibly far fetched and just simply completely idiotic.
I took my family to watch iron claw when it came out. The ride home was extremely quiet. We all cried during the movie
I cried so many times during that movie. Me and my brothers were insanely close growing up and losing them is a thought that terrifies me
I cried again just watching this video!
The irony that The Iron Claw is even bleaker real life tale - they missed an additional brother dying as a minimum omission
Right, I was like, "way to lighten up tragedy; I guess?"
If you included everything the Von Eric's went through it would seem exaggerated. When the father developed brain cancer he held a gun to Kevin's head and threatened to kill him.
@@nickmatthaes5344 A movie is usually exaggeration of true events. Js
But in this case real life was more exaggerated than the movie
Chris is the most heart breaking death for me. Yeah casual audiences probably wouldn’t have been able to handle it.
I remember when I watched The Iron Claw and The Whale on the same night, most depressing weekend ever lol
Glad to see you still with us
Damn torturing yourself lol
What were you thinking 😂?
Excellent list brilliantly presented one of Gareth’s best. It’s wonderfully obvious he’s seen every film on the list and genuinely wrote his own script. Well done 👍
I felt this way about Requiem for a dream
I have and will keep watching the Iron Claw again!
The worst part of Dashcam is that isn't even unique. Deadstream did the very same concept, considerably better at that.
Line Kevin says at the end iron claw is even more heartbreaking when you know Kevin himself has said that is how he felt
I felt the same way about "Banshees of Inisherin." Just one watch was enough for me.
I struggled with one time. And I like both actors
The Iron Claw is sooooo good. I constantly recommend it, but with an asterisks. This is the type of movie that would destroy my mom. But she would love it, too. I have a bunch of brothers (I'm the only girl) and just the thought of losing one son would be too much for her.
I watch the Iron Claw all the time. It was the best movie of 2023
Me too
12 Years a Slave. Worthy, inspiring, epic, brilliantly observed, a lesson to us all, definitely not one to watch a second time.
The Wrestler with Mickey Rourke was a great one, but will probably only get one watch out of me.
Masterpiece
I’m all for watching “in a violent nature” again. Especially since it’s getting a sequel
That one kill was the craziest shit Ive ever seen
@ the chain pull and pop? Loved that one
I can say, having been a primary carer for my mother in law who had dementia, that The Father nails exactly what its like.
The Coffee Table (on Tubi) .......
I keep telling people "Robert Eggers's 'The Lighthouse' is the best movie I have ever seen, and I hope to never see it again."

There's literally been a sequel in development for In a Violent Nature since it was released. "Hurrah"
Dashcam is a horrible movie. I HATED that woman. For a horror movie to work, you need to worry about the lead dying. I WANTED her to die two minutes after meeting her.
I dunno. I spent most of the Friday the 13th and Halloween movies rooting for the slasher.
@@taylorlibby7642 I cried when they finally killed Michael.
There's "remote countryside" somewhere in Holland?
Fritz Von Erich gave me Lavar Ball vibes
I know they aren’t recent, but Eden Lake and We Need to Talk About Kevin are 2 that were one watch, and that’s enough for me. You could also throw An American Crime in that category as well.
The Iron Claw nearly broke me. And that's considering that I knew about their story prior to watching.
Not a Recent Film But 1998's Ringmaster I Saw this 2 years after the cancellation of 1990's Tabloid Talk Show The Jerry Springer Show In 2018 but a year before his untimely Passing In 2022 so this movie hits differently than before also Jaimie Presley Is Pregnant with her Stepdad's child played by Michael Dudikoff from Bounty Hunters and American Ninja that Is all
It's an awesome movie
i would see Zone of Interest again in a heartbeat. I know that there are a lot of aspects that I missed.
it was extremely weird that they combined two different Von Erich kids into one person

What’s your Letterboxd?
Creative topic, thanks
I absolutely loved The Iron Claw. It's an amazing film. I am never watching it again 🤣
Most movies made over the last 10 years aren't worth a second watch.
5:00 I wouldn’t consider Beau Is Afraid to be an “awesome” movie
I hated Dashcam with a fiery passion. I have NEVER rooted so hard for a monster to kill the main character before. And my disappointment was immeasurable.
"V-logger"? You mean "VLOGGER"?
Beau is Afraid is amazing. I love that film.
Just say Grave Of The Fireflies 1-10 and call it a day.
Actually a great unique list.
I have watched Iron Claw twice in theatres, and 4 times at home. It is bleak but it is a masterpiece. I love it so much, if you really wanna cry go watch a Von Erich documentary. The truth era is bleaker than the film
You should do a video on movies where you follow the killer.
Zone of interest sounds like it's enjoy a rewatch
I haven't seen The Iron Claw yet. but I really want to see it. fun fact about
the movie is that MJF is in the movie. he portrays Lance Von Erich.
That was Michael J Fox in Iron Claw? He was unrecognizable in that role.
@Jeremy-ql1or the wrestler MJF not Michael J. Fox.
MJF in a "blink and you miss it" cameo
Oppenheimer is a BRILLIANT film but not one I’d ever need to see again.

I'd add Kathryn Bigelow's Detroit and Dania Pusic's Tuesday to this list.

3:39 yet there's already one in the works
Iron Claw was amazing viewing. But yeah, I ain’t watching it again.
Watching a movie 6 times is a lot…?
There's a word for people who watch movies they don't Enjoy...
PRETENTIOUS
I recommend people to watch the Hatchet movies. If you love the Jason movies then your going to be rotflyao 🤣
Everest is a movie a can’t rewatch.
The Burning 🔥
Dashcams protagonist was so unlikeable.
I will definitely watch in a violent nature again.
9:11 pretty much why the American version was made
I stopped about halfway into it. I kept yelling at the TV. Those fools had every clue in front of them to get out of there and yet they stayed.

My wife refuses to watch Southern comfort because of that rape scene, i cant rewatch Scum either for the same reason
What year was Southern Comfort?

Yep! never gonna watch em! lol...dont have to now! cheers
_Gallipoli_ wrecked me.
Which one?
In a violent nature was so boring to me. It was like playing assassin's creed n literally just walking everywhere
Charlie's farm
I’ve never seen It’s a Wonderful Life and have interest I’ve seen parts and hated what I saw.
Only the last 40 minutes was any good.
The love story dragged for too long.
🎥🍿🎞🎬🧙♂
Sorry but don't speak evil is absolutely a waste of time to watch..... It's laughable, delusional, incredibly far fetched and just simply completely idiotic.
i like how #2 was in binary.
Beau is afraid is the worst movie I have ever seen. Ever. I do not think I will ever see another movie worse than that one, either.
You will 🤣
