Excellent video as always! But may I just note something in the fasteners work bench. The true magic of the Fasteners workbench is that if you make a body with a hole, click the edge of the hole and select a fastener, it will actually size the fastener automatically. Amazingly helpful feature that even high profile CAD systems don't have. Making a bolt connection with a washer, bolt, and nut takes 10sec. It's magical really...
Thank you Sr that actually works much better! It also even inserts the fastner so that one can go from assembly to explode way faster saving hours of time !
Hey Joko, @ 38:54 , a correction just for best practice, it's actually one computer mouse or two computer mouses as opposed to the rodents which are mice,
Hi , Joseph . This is a great video , Thanks for posting . I am trying to find the download page for assembly 3 real thunder workbench , could you tell me how to find it Please ? Thanks Terry
Hi Terry; There is no Assembly 3 workbench download currently. One day there will be. You have to get the realthunder fork of FreeCAD or use the linux app image. Links are in the description here with further explanation in the video. ua-cam.com/video/Q6pbU2dVCfQ/v-deo.html
Hi Joko Next semester I wanted to do a small trans project with my students (modeling conceptual electric cars) and also inform the dewing via wind tunnel testing We are designers - not engineers. Would you be interested in collaborating on this ?
does free cad have an ability to make parts in to flattened patterns? i work at a factory that makes inflatable tubes out of thick air tight fabric. i'd love to give FreeCAD a try. Maybe there is another free program that can do this?
The tool for generating flat patterns that I know of is used for sheet metal, but it's worth giving it a try. It would be the forming tool option to go from a formed piece to a flat piece which I haven't tried yet in the video.
Any plan for opening a Patreon or the like? Your videos are very appreciated and maybe there will be people that would like to contribute to you directly :-)
Hello. Is there a way to highlight a feature on a History Tree and have that geometry highlight in the visual construction window and the other way around - as is possible in SolidWorks? How about the end bar at the end od the History tree(as in SW) - being able to move it up and display only what was done above the bar and the rest be invisible?
For FreeCAD, I would highlight the item and use the spacebar which hides the features that come after the feature. It's the closest thing to visually connecting the item in the tree with the model, and it visually rolls back the model like in SolidWorks.

A month into learning FreeCAD, this is the best explained and most useful overview I've found. Thank you.

Thank you! Your vids are the ones I learned the most out of all of youtube. No, out of all the internet I would say! Keep it up!
What a nice thing to hear, thank you
@@JokoEngineeringhelp well deserved. No need for a thank you! I need to say thank you instead!
Genialny poradnik. Bardzo dobrze pokazuje większość narzędzi.

80% of his words are redundant and pointless.
Impressive video 👍
Thanks for sharing your experience with all of us 👍😀
