Thank you for covering Elle Fanning! I have her as my main muse for cool and radiant FN with strong ingenue ethereal essence. I am a FN with maybe neutral leaning warm (whatever that means from the makeup lady) that is likely an ingenue classic. I cannot figure out how to balance looking my age in my late 30s without looking too twee or too mature since I am youthful looking. My age is often mistaken as 20s. Oftentimes people say I am pretty, cute, or adorable.
Perfect video ❤❤❤
I love how you analyze photos. You pick things apart to perfection. Lol You make everything so clear, i feel like i could choose Elle's wardrobe confidently after watching this.
Would you ever consider doing videos like this for clients who want to be analyzed this way?
Because I'd totally pay to be strategically picked apart like this. Lol
👍
My marketing must be really off lol. I do have something pretty similar/would include all the info I talk about in this video for any individual, which is the full report. It includes the body type, color type, and essence, and then also a section on how your body type and color type interact....you can take a look at the booking page here: merriamstyle.com/full_report.php
Also be sure to look at the sample report linked there so that you know what you're getting if you end up choosing to book!
Oh yes, I got your full report a few years ago. It's awesome 👌
And I use the heck out of it! And I've ever gotten more compliments in my life.
Haha, what I'm after now is one of these videos. The good, the bad all of it. You REALLY go all in on these. I wasn't expecting "this yellow is lovely (even though I thought so too) I still have a lot to learn and I want to learn it all!!
😂
"nothing is scarier than something we don't EXPECT" so some psychology nuggets in here.
Your analysis are sooo goood! I have ingenue essence and I look to elle for inspiration. Her red carpets looks are so beautiful!
Another typing blogger talked of kibbe types with body language using celebs in interviews. It was pretty spot on with them! It would be great to explore this Merriam when you mentioned classic essences posing on the beach being poised opposed to others.
Love this type of content of yours so very much!! Thank you Merriam 💗
I was so sure you were going to mention her Princess Aurora role as your favourite! I think that role really captured her essence, with how her hair was styled, her dresses, the colors, etc. she looked like a fairy princess. To me, her Mary Shelley role is a close second.
I can feel this analysis expanding my brain, 10/10 content 👌
I’m sure you’ve gotten this question before, but is there any type of equivalent typing theory for men/masculine people?
interesting.
I am not so sure about cool yellows not being d best colours for cool winters. I fall between a bright winter and a true winter, the colours dat i get most compliments for are fuschia, icy cool yellows n ob iously cobalt blues. I have aimply received too many compliments wid yellow, to think dat yellow doesn't suit me. Personally too, i think cool yellows look great on me. Btw, poc here.
Hi, can you add this as a service? To take the lines and coloring to the next level.
what would you look for in the service?
@@merriamstyle more image consultant/stylist focused. Asking what goals are ( career/dating) what events/ style uniforms they would want ( casual/ workout/ business/office) maybe a beauty audit show me what you got( makeup/ manicure uniform) I had a full report and I am ethereal, cool tones high contrast/ beveled soft natural. Maybe a fb support group. I am getting better but could accelerate faster with more support/ guidance. I have trouble seeing myself as others see me to play up my uniqueness. Maybe ask what 3 things we get complimented most on or like most
Amazing video, Merriam, you could go on and on, really, i would listen to you for hours! 😊 so cool, learning so much from this video. It's thought provoking .. thank you 🙏❤
You talking about aged vs mature reminded me what a big problem it was for me to get a haircut in my twenties. I would either look 12 or 40 and nothing in between 🤦
I even went to the best in town hairdresser that was supposed to be trained in body types. I am a Romantic with Ingenue essence. I think a lot of people were trying to put me into Natural lines (because that's the most popular body type if you're wider than a Gamine).
Merriam you taught me so much about my best colours and gave me direction with my body type. That's another excellent video.
Loved watching Elle in The Great!
I think my skin tone is probably cool and I like wearing yellow and feel pretty in it
You can feel pretty in something and it still not be "flattering" in the context of her analysis. I think she even suggested wearing a little more makeup. Or don't listen at all and maybe color analysis videos aren't really for you lol
I would love to see more examples of gamine body types with mediate hight.
How to know if gamine is the right type if your are moderately tall and your body type leans towards natural, but the head is relatively big in correlation with the shoulders. 🥲 I get really confused because it seems to be my only indicator for gamine body type.
In a previous video I heard you talk about the possibility to be gamine without being small in hight..🤔 I would love to learn more about it❤
