The Shenmue sample for B:/Shutdown was also the leading intro for ELO's "Telephone Line" from 1977, a bit less similar, but still incredibly close.

How does he find so many random samples from the 1980s
Story time: So i was playing Shenmue on my Dreamcast last Saturday, and i heard that melody. and i was like: wait. I heard that before! Then i went listen to some music. I choose Blank Banshee. Then B:\Shut down / Depression started playing. And i was like: Man. I heard this shit before. And it took me 5 DAYS to realize it. Then i went to the interwebs, and the World Wide Web shot me trough the CyberSpace to this video. Thanks Nickster for verifying it.
No surprise that the track name "Dreamcast" was inspired by the late 90's/early 2000's SEGA console of the same name

Does anyone know the origin of the "it's as simple as pushing squares" sample? Because I reckon it's from something akin to a computer tutorial, since the squares they're talking about are probably keys.
I think the "pushinng squares" vocals were done by Cormorant, a.k.a the vocalist for Shinjuku Mad (the band Blank Banshee was in before he started the project). He and Patrick (BB's real name) still work together and the former has provided vocals for the latter's solo projects, including last year's GAIA.

ever hear the song that samples something before the original? when i heard the message for the first time i knew it sounded familiar!
Honestly that’s one of the best feelings, when an artist samples something you recognize.
I remember years ago before I even knew what sampling was (I think I was 8-9 years old), “Feel This Moment” by Pitbull had just come out, and when I heard it for the first time, in my mind I was like “hey this sounds like something else I’ve heard!” It samples the main melody from a-ha’s “Take On Me,” which I had also heard but didn’t really know the name of then. Thought I’d share that story since I think it’s relevant to the comment :)
I believe there is a pitched down version of Cock/ver10 by Aphex Twin in the track Teen Pregnancy
