Hey MK! I’ve been looking into taking up baking for quite some time now, and your videos are what finally made me do it! You seem so nice and your recipes are amazing. Literally the only ones I trust completely, from the whole of youtube. You’re awesome!
I appreciate the time you spend putting together tutorials like this, which are the results of years of experience, for beginners. I find them quite useful. Thanks 👍
I’m having the issue where it’s fluffed up fine when i take it out but as it cools off it sinks in the middle but this only happens when i make cakes not cupcakes 😢
thank Mk for all your time ❤❤ l use a gas oven which take so much time to get the cake done which make me open the oven to see if the cake is ready so l something have some problem with my cakes
Thank you Love! I bake so many cakes but only my Tres laches cake sinks, not sure what is the reason. I already watched your video now I’m confused which was my mistake LOL. Is it my liquid ingredients didn’t mix properly or my oven temperature is not right. I never open the oven door while baking so I’m not sure 🤔
You're welcome! :) And yes it can be a bit of a struggle figuring out which mistake it could be! If your tres leches is a sponge cake then it could also be due to other reasons. Baking can be tricky!!
Hi Maryam, thanks so much for sharing your expertise. Hope you can help, I found a recipe calls for 15 dates cup orange juice, no sugar, 1/3 cup oil, 160g spelt flour and 1 tablespoon baking powder. All ingredients are fresh and measured accurately. Tried it twice abd each time it flattens after taking from oven, once ensured it rises and tooth pick is clean. Baking temp is 180c (355f) for 30-35min. What do you think the cause of failures? Do you think 1 TBSP baking powder is too much? Should baking soda be used instead? Any other advices, greatly appreciate it. Thanks so much..
When I do my baking and when time to bake I put my baking tin in the oven but I don’t open the door until it has baked and I have a egg timer ⏲ so when buzzes that tell me that the cake is baked so I take it out and check it with knife if it has baked from inside comes out clean
Hi MK! I love your videos. Thanks for providing amazing recipes. Not related to this video but I have one question. I desperately need a chiffon sheet cake recipe. Could you do that when you have the time, please? Thanks!
Hi mk. I tried creaming butter sugar oil, but once I add eggs it turned to soupy or broken consistency. Can you tell why this is happening. Great video.
I made your chocolate cake that includes chocolate in it and my cake layers sank in the middle. Which has never happened with any other recipe. I’m confused why?
Hi there! It really depends on the recipe, but it could be because the cakes are slightly overbaked too :) I would also recommend adding in a little more flavouring (e.g. vanilla) to help mask the eggy smell :)

For the “opening the oven door too early” it works for pies as well. If you open the oven door too early, your pie will crack.
Thank u dear, u're amazing
