Like a person harnessing his shadow personality coined by Carl Jung to do sports or any other activities that let that side pour out.

"living up to me" can also mean something different, as in a mental state, power, or intelligence. With disturbed's songs you have to analyze the song to know what it means. David has been through so much that he hides his real meaning in the lyrics. Some of the mare so vague it could mean anything. Only David knows

The deepest songs fro m disturbed are Devour and Darkness. Devour is his angry side telling him to kill himself to where the smallest ray of light will never find you. In Darkness is a sequel to Devour, it is him getting free from the torment. I been through rough times and their songs helped me.

Sorry if I sound elitist, but when I listen to songs, the one's that impact me the most usually revolve around society, communities, corruption, psychology and horrifying tragedies. One song I like is Bound, and I can directly relate to that. Some songs can have a greater impact on others than me for sure though. To each their own.
