One of the coolest things I've seen someone use is old bowling balls my cuz's husband is absolutely amazing at this and seeing it done in person is even more addicting to watch lol but he had a kit to turn things into pens so he used old bowling balls and got the acrylic or whatever it's made of and carved it down to beautiful things even made wine toppers to plug ur wine bottle in the Italian flag colors so awesome

How is it a waste? Isn't the purpose of colored pencils to make art? I think he succeeded in that in droves.
