2008 250x for me. It's easy to make them street legal in Washington State and I'd love to do that. I have 200hrs on mine. Suspension has been done but motor is 100% stock. I did smog delete, and closed course competition mod with JD Jetting kit and it's snappy now. I keep wanting a new bike but this thing won't die!
My old 70s era Yamaha enduro never even got an oil change let alone any other maintenance. Rode it into the ground for three years and never did one thing except fill the two stroke oil tank and put gas in it. My brother put the last nail in the coffin by running in to a salt water pond flooding the engine with sand and salt. She probably would still be running if not for the sand.
i love mine but i wish it was less maintenance and yes they dont like the cold i sometime put a heater before riding just to start it. i found out that the kickstart works better than the estart too
When I was your age I had a Suzuki 250 RM , that was a great bike sometimes I wish I didn't get rid of it If you can keep it ,but if you don't ride anymore then I can see getting rid of it, you will do the thing 👍😥
just got one last summer didn't know how high the mantence was on it lmfao used to my standard trail bike that u never have to do anything but every single ride you need to clean the airfilter
And the UniCam engine constantly needs valve adjustments. On the up side, it separates the engine oil from the transmission oil, so there's no cross contamination
wow - A 10 minute video to explain you're selling a dirt bike because you don't use it? Some corners of youtube are truly a WASTE of TIME and this channel leads the way.🤣

A bit more difficult to make them street legal in NC, but if it was I probably would still have it.

Don’t know why you would sell it but have fun trying to a find another one
Living in Raleigh makes it a pain to keep a dirt bike

I have an uncorked ‘05 with a plate on it. Love mine. I’d sell my 450L before I sold my 250X. I’d like to find another one to put a big bore kit on.
Unfortunately, living in Raleigh, I just don't use a dedicated dirt bike enough. I'd like to get a plated KTM 350exc-f

Clean bike, I have a 05 crf250x supermoto with a plate it's been a good bike put one hard year on it
If I get another one, it'll need to be plated. I just don't use them enough where I live
@@4KMotoring yep its the way to go if it wasn't for the fact I can run it on the street it wouldn't be no fun

Hi, curious if you opened up the airbox and/or re-jetted the carb?
I did not on this bike. The previous crf250r I had was a bit more powerful, and I imagine rejetting the carb on the 250x would be similar
