A band that doubles as a choir... phenomenal! My father is a Navy Veteran; I love this prayer for protection for those serve us on the seas. So we'll done 😇❤️✝👏🏾
As a USN Vietnam vet, let me say that this is a most stirring rendition of a song we would sing at services on Sundays in the Gulf of Tonkin. Wonderfully done, OSU!
I'm honored to hear this song sung, for it embraces our heritage and honors those who sacrificed everything and who relied upon God for their eternal salvation, even when all other hope has been lost.
This is what a college band should be! It makes me proud to have a connection with the state of Ohio and to call it my former home. No matter where I go in my life, there will always be a part of me that is a buckeye!!!
I had this played at my dad's memorial service in 2013. He was a U.S. Navy combat vet of WW II. Our family has a proud tradition of wartime Naval service to our country. Very stirring performance.
This was beautifully done! I'm from a Navy family so this hymn has a very deep meaning for me. This rendition by the OSU band is one of the best I've heard, so thank you!

We would sing this at the end of Mass at the Naval Training Center, Newport, RI. Makes me feel young.

I heard them PLAY The Navy Hymn. It made every hair on the back of my neck stand up and I had goose pimples. It was amazing!!

Fictional prayer? Did I hear that correctly?
It is described as "a traditional musical prayer."
The second chair flautist scores more on Saturdays than the football team.
The Ohio State Band is strictly brass and percussionist. There isn't a flautist in the whole band.
