I was looking forward to Hei's immediate reaction to Bai's real identity, so I was a little disappointed that they didn't show it. All they showed was ... (don't want any spoilers) and his response after some time (which is this clip). I mean, the writers decided to keep Bai's identity secret until epi 35, and then that's it. There's a reason why reaction videos are gaining good views on youtube, ok. People love it. I wasn't expecting the revelation to be so dramatic, but I wanted at least Hei's reaction, was he in disbelief or confused? did he find it amusing or funny? what? I guess we'll never know cause it happened off-screen. Still love this show tho.
I was expecting that Hei Feng xi gonna surprise by discovering Bai Feng Xi identity that she is his childhood sweetheart Feng Xi Yun...like the more he knows the more he love her, cherish her and protect her
I thought the reveal of her identity would be, if not dramatic, at least a bit more surprising. Especially since they waited till almost the end of the drama to make him found out but they gave it less than 5 minutes and that was it.. Ngl it was slightly disappointing but I guess I also like how Lanxi was ready to follow her and support her straight away no questions ask. The support they both have for each is great that's for sure.
Watched this episode & can’t help thinking love is blind; it took Hei FengXi, Leader of Intelligence Network, Fountain Abode to find out his girlfriend is the famed Princess XiYun in Ep. 35 when Yu Wu Yuan knew her identity in Ep.30. Concerning Bai FengXi, he’s can’t think objectively 😂 & a bit blur. How sweet of LanXi now Crown Prince to say he is just her Black Foxy & whatever happens they face it together. Love this romance between power couple. They there for each other. So sweet & romantic! Next, a bittersweet meeting with Dad In Law, King of Qingzhou.

When his father tells him that he must leave the martial arts world because he is now the heir to the crown, he makes it clear that he must leave Bai Fengxi. What does he do instead? He goes to his mother's grave and introduces her as the woman. with whom he wants to spend the rest of his life and then makes the marriage proposal Why if he knows that he as the future KING will never be able to marry a simple girl from the martial arts world?
Because that is precisely the point of its character evolution and growth: the conflict between two opposing fates. The choice between giving up its destiny to rule the world or giving up his true love.
1. Because LanXi loves BFX so much that he doesn't want to do anything behind her back and he thinks regardless of her background, he'd still marry her. 2. His father knows nothing about BFX. For the entire story, BFX never step into the court, so in fact noone except those close to FLX knows her existence.
oh no, his father knows of her. remember, even the Emperor of Dadong knew of HeiFeng BaiXi or Hei-Bai Fengxi. Lanxi's father was cunning and smart, since he knew Lanxi was Hei Fengxi then he definitely knew of his female counterpart Bai Fengxi. when he said "you must leave the martial arts world" he meant Bai Fengxi, but he didn't know how much she had been involved with the state's affairs or how many times she had saved Lanxi and vice versa. so when Lanxi took her to see his mother (not his father, important to note) it was without knowing that she was the Princess. he loved her and would marry her regardless of her status. and let's face it, it won't be the first time he hasn't told his father something or listened to him. then here he says "why can't I rule the world and have you? why can't I have both?" he wanted her to be his Queen regardless of her background. it's just a plus that she's a noble because his father would quickly approve of it now. but even if she was just some girl named Bai Fengxi, he'd have still married her.
The power of this couple only holding hands the drama hits the wolrd ...congrats tencent you got and match the right couple of the year I wish they have follow up drama to this couple in coming year ..plz ❤🙏
This scene was drawn with a straight line. Too flat, no element of surprise... nothing. It didn't even feel like a revelation of something hidden for almost the entire series. Jahah

For me who has rewatched this series, time and time again, I can understand why they chose to be calm with Hei Fengxi's character when learning about the truth behind Bai Fengxi. They didn't expand more to it. If you can remember, same goes for when Bai Fengxi knew about his identity. She was also calm. It was during the middle of a case wherein, it also just slowly became natural for them both for Bai Fengxi to know about his own struggles and background. My point here is that, they are both mature in accepting truths and they did overreact because there are more important matters at hand than to be petty or too surprised about the matter. I even liked how Lanxi just accepted it and in return, he offered help for Xiyun. You can see how mature they are and how they compromise and help one another. Not being selfish of their own feelins but rather being selfless to help the other. Sometimes, yes, it is nice to see their reactions. At first, i was also disappointed. But if you really put yourselves to the characters' shoes... You'll understand their reaction.
Even though they decided to show it like he already knew they could atleast add the part of how and when did he found out her true identity and when he did found out, his reaction (surprised + shocked + amused and proud face of yang yang for his feng xiyun a.k.a. bei fengxi but I mean seriously man, how can they cut off a most crucial scene like that, just like this.... I'm in love with this drama and watched it multiple times and this single scene is the only point of disappointment throughout the entire series, like seriously 🙄🙄🙄🙄😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑
