  • In this video I talk to a bullion dealer about how how to get ahead or be successful in life. I like to visit Harry's coin shop about once a week and I was able to talk to Harry and Adrian about how to be successful in life and what it takes to get ahead. Adrian was able to work hard and become very successful at a young age. Is this obtainable for anyone? YES! What is the secret? Work hard and save your money. One of the best ways to save money is with silver and gold. I have been buying silver for over 4 years now and it has helped me to save more than I ever though possible. If you want to start silver stacking or investing in silver to save money then I think that is a great idea.

If everybody today followed Adrian’s dads work ethic we would all be better off. You buy it when you have the cash and not before. The problem is everybody wants it now so they slap down the credit card. Adrian’s dad is definitely old school.

My dad always told me. You'll have to work most of your life and you'll have to pay tax. The sooner you get over that the happier your life will be. We were lucky enough to retire 3 and a half years ago when I was 54 because we worked at it. My dad survived a German concentration camp and is still is my hero

To retire in your 50s is quite an achievement. I will work til I'm 62. But still, better than most. There's people in their 70s at my job that are still working. We don't live forever, lol.

It always comes back to ethics.
I really enjoyed hearing Adrian's story with his humble beginnings. Ya can't help but liking all the guys - our video coin family!
My grandparents bought a plot of land and pitched a tent while they built their very first home. They lived in that tent for over a year through the snow and rain, but in the end the sun came out and they lived happily in their home with their six children.
My grandmother was full blooded Cherokee and hard work always got her through the worst of times, like when my grandfather passed - she never took a day off, except Sunday - for that was the Lord's day.
Then my parents moved away and I always wrote letters to my Grandma - she would send me a stick of gum and I would get so excited. lol Maybe it was her way to get me to write letters and have excellent penmanship! There was always a lesson, even if you had to look for it.

Adrian’s story about the PS1 is very similar to mine and my brothers about our N64.
Our dad made us work for it. It was just after we moved into a newly built house. The soil in the yard was full of crap from the excavation and construction. He gave us ONE CENT for every piece of debris we picked out of the dirt. The console was $100 at the time so between the two of us we picked out 10,000 pieces of debris.
I think most kids hate having to do things like that. They expect their parents to just give them what they want. But those are the lessons that help you grow into a good, responsible adult.
You can tell just by the way Adrian carries himself that the lessons his father taught him as a young kid made an impact.

As a young kid I watched my dad come home after a full day of work in a materials lab and go straight into working on cars, woodworking, yardwork, coaching our little league teams and volunteering his time for church fundraisers. Guess it rubbed off on me because I was delivering papers at 9 y.o., working 20 hrs/wk thru h.s., and graduated college with an engrg degree and zero debt. I like hearing from the LCS's around the country and the crew at Harry's always have a good lesson.

Love all of your coin shop videos. I would be in big trouble if Harry's Coin Shop was anywhere near where I live!

Congrats on your successes gentlemen :) Harry's is probably the best coin store in Oregon, which is why it's the first one I go to and really the only one I ever return to over and over. Thanks Harry and SD

I'm stoked my 7yo got a job making $50/night working a hayride with Dad. He even learned to sign his name in cursive on the application. Its only 2x a week for the season but let him learn. Yes he requested a payday loan 😂🤣 and to drop out of 2nd grade to work. Lord willing he will be a wise and savvy as Adrian 🙏🎉

Adrian's story hopefully will inspire millions of us to work hard and save, but probably not. Still, I liked his story, it's a good one.

Looks like a nice coin shop...Our eldest had a snow shoveling business at age 8. He is 31 and doing well today.
I will visit when I am out to visit our son.
