"Imagine your lifelong dream ending. Where do you go? Who do you tell? Where do you begin again?" It's quotes like this that make Hard Knocks so, so very compelling.
@smug tomato.....That's why it's important for these guys to take education seriously. But most sadly don't and they end up back in the same tough areas they worked so hard to leave. I wish people would push these guys to excel as much in the classroom as they do in the field. That way they'd at least have a fallback.
@@stevep2380 I agree. It's just hard to get a young man to fully grasp that, especially when they're likely the big shot in High School and even college to an extent. They've probably been told their whole life that they'll be an NFL star and they don't grasp the reality of how insanely difficult it is to actually make an NFL roster. To them it's a given, so why care about education? Doesn't help when they get passed along because of their abilities on the field either.
When I saw that receiver get cut, I felt so bad. I felt like he didn't have many opportunities to prove himself based on what I saw. I also thought that the Texans gave up on him. They forgot to put him in the game and nobody noticed him in my opinion. His NFL career ended before it even began. The music that went along made it worse too.
The quote that went along with it damn near brought me to tears. Cuts are always painful, but I felt like that specific scene really captured the reality of a player's career coming to an abrupt end. Usually it just comes down to the fact that you simply weren't good enough relative to other guys, and that's an incredibly hard pill to swallow for most people. It's never anything major, someone was just better than you and that's all it takes for your career to end.
Isn't it funny how the best coaches in the league always are the ones that show they care the most for their players. Bill wasn't a bad coach, had some success, but whats great about him is you knew he cared for you as a person as well. He's a good man. I think having to care for a son who is severely handicapped made him a better man. The coaches who seem to struggle in the league seem to always not have a strong connection with their players. If your players know you care for them, they'll play harder.
I don’t agree with Bill O Brian as a gm but man is he one hell of a coach I would love to either play or work for him you can tell how much he cares about the players and how much he wants them to improve he’s the complete opposite from Joe Philban and the dolphins
BOB was a good head coach. He and Kubiak were the two best. However, Bill hit his ceiling and the McNairs made the mistake of giving him even more power. He was the white Marvin Lewis.
Bill was the white Marvin Lewis. A good coach on a putrid team that elevated them to playoff appearances, but had long since hit the ceiling. Giving him more power was a massive mistake.
@Hector Rodriguez that miami roster in 2001 they talk about but the one in 2000 had him vilma dj William's at linebacker, reed and taylor at safety and 2 first round picks at corner mike rumph and Philip Buchanan who started on raiders super bowl team and theres more I just know those which is insane alone lol
It's crazy how now most rookie qbs start from the jump, Manning was the first to start all 16 and Flacco and Ryan did it...since then (2008) it's expected
Crazy on how some of the other hard knocks you could tell which teams were good and which were not. Like the 2017 bucs or 2014 falcons. You could just see it from the coaches to the players
It's 2024 and looking back on this just reminds me just what an abysmal coach Bill O'Brien was. Talked loud...carried a twig. Couldn't score from 2 yds out in practice... couldn't do it in a live game either. Lord those were some sad years.
Here’s the difference between good or bad coaches good coaches sit with there players when there releasing them compared to trashy ones that only call em instead of sitting down with them
I can’t imagine how hard it must be to be a white receiver trying to make a football team. Even some of the great ones were Undrafted or picked late and had to prove themselves on special teams before they got a chance.
Did anyone else realize when the ref came over and talked to o'Brien he said ok ty sir....roflmao and she is a female ref,🤣😂😱 I died I was like oops! Around the 22.56 mark.
All this coaching staff does is run around (knowing the cameras are pointed their way) and threaten everyone with getting cut and they ask why isn't anybody having fun? Very happy the head coach is gone. There are so many middle school football programs that would live to hire him.
David Quessenberry caught a TD pass last year for the Titans.
Went from one shitty team to another 😂
I love literally everything about Charles James

Anyone google some players to see if they made another team, or practice squad or CFL?
Yup
🙋♂️
I did that after watching on HBO back when it originally aired
Sure do
Joshua Carrig bro I always do that. I didn’t realize how many other people love Hard Knocks like I do. Gotta love the comments section man
This was the best season of hard knocks ever loved it
The best part is it’s not even over!!
This one's great, but my favorite's probably the Jets one with Rex Ryan

Which receiver?

Hell ya war damn eagle!
O'Brian couldn't find any juice cause Cushing was using it all up in the locker room 🤣

OB handles the cuts so much better than some of the other head coaches on Hard Knocks
Right on time just got off work, eating food watching some Throwback Hardknocks 🤟🏾
Damn u got work???? I remember u in OSN comment section back in like 2017
What kind of food tho? I'm eating strawberry cheesecake icecream

Thank you so much NFL throwback for uploading, also just remember this, Bill O'Brien is a hack!!!!

Thank you nfl throwback!!! ❤️💯 you Guys made my night! 😊
I wonder how many times I've driven by a Kevin Colbert or the Pirates GM trading away a player or pick
Can you upload the 2020 version when it finishes?
Please
Look at Vince man, so inspirational
“Fuckin, there’s the players!” *turns around, ass laughed off*
19:46 lol, Cushing doesn't know how to spell opportunity.
Not surprised
31:56 for Vince Wilfork
@Hector Rodriguez that miami roster in 2001 they talk about but the one in 2000 had him vilma dj William's at linebacker, reed and taylor at safety and 2 first round picks at corner mike rumph and Philip Buchanan who started on raiders super bowl team and theres more I just know those which is insane alone lol
Nice thanks lol
Cush's answer to "Should you still be on 'roids?" was hilarious
EZ at the lake. 😂
13:55
You’d never think Labhart was a NFL WR prospect looking at him.
He looks like my friend who is a small nerdy looking part time firefighter 😂😂
Ryan Mallet just looks like a terrible leader. Sounds like one too.
What's the scranton thing at Arkansas that he did?
Ya I think he slept in on purpose too. Like a child mad at his parents for not giving him what he wanted so he acted out a little bit
Excuses and Rick smith could tell right away he was lying. Just be straight up dude
Vince "I'm not in the spelling mood" 😂😂😂
RIP Ryan Mallett
It's crazy how now most rookie qbs start from the jump, Manning was the first to start all 16 and Flacco and Ryan did it...since then (2008) it's expected
Depends on the situation usually, but yeah more and more rookies are getting to start more often
That's mostly because of the salary cap. It's much easier to build a great roster with a quarterback on a rookie contract.
I think mallet purposely slept in cuz he was mad they didn’t name him the starter.
Lil Pherbert facts dude didn’t even look like he felt bad about it
@@csmooth202 was he supposed to be crying
@@darionblack4434 nope but it just looked like he didn’t care. Maybe like he’s fed up with football in general.
Can we get the next please🥺 I absolutely love watching these

Watching Cushing makes me nervous. He always seems like hes about to start swinging
He was about to blow
This is the only reason I watch this channel!
Bo jackson video was fuego though....
I agree ☝️
Bro it was so long I forgot you were uploading these
Anyone remember Travis labheart from dude perfect years ago
Charles James seems like a stand-up guy
Dude should have just played running back, he good at corner but RB is his position
It’s about time !!
15:40 call me spoiled when it comes to ocean and water cuz i live in Hawaii. I'd never swim in green water lol
Honestly you can’t help but feel for guys who get cut
Vince Wilfork is so awesome
His friendship with JJ Watt is so wholesome
36:55 that’s a touchdown. Damn these refs
Why does this have like 400 ads
If it gets more hard knocks episodes, then I'm for it
Eric Sigersmith it was just like an abnormal amount, I don’t mind watching ads but it was legit the entire bar was yellow.

Matthew 11:29
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Damn, telling a cancer survivor he's not playing this year on his birthday.
Can you guys show any 2004 or 2005 Jaguar games...
We almost beat Kansas city....
That madden shit does get intense
Man I loved EZ
I can’t imagine how hard it must be to be a white receiver trying to make a football team. Even some of the great ones were Undrafted or picked late and had to prove themselves on special teams before they got a chance.
Houston has SO MANY patriots lol it’s insane
Brian Hoyer has a better passer rating than Troy Aikman, Terry Bradshaw, John Elway and Bob Griese
But no iconic games or super bowl rings.
Useless stats. No real wins though
2:39 Limp Bizkit lmao
34:19 she came a long way congrats to her
I saw that, couldn’t believe it
Based on that music you would think they were walking those guys into the gas chamber.
12:10 left JJ Watt hanging on the fist bump after the handshake... BOOM cut from the team LOL jk
Bruh the nfl throwback knows who kwab is😂😂
Arian foster looks like drake and kyrie if they mixed together
34:32 I see you buddy

Looking back Texans really believe Brian or Ryan was the guy lead this team 😂😂
When they gonna put 2007 chiefs hard knocks on here .....

Anyone know the song at the end after the game
Can you upload 2020?

Nope
No he is dead
48:21 Someone looks kwazy
48:26 Tell Me that’s not Kwame Brown
If You don’t think so then Pause it right on 48:27 😄
