Not to take anything away from Clarkson but two thirds of the British electorate also predicted what Labour would do and voted against them.
About 72% actually. In Australia 68% voted against Labor 2 years ago but they still got in and are destroying the fabric of our nation, as per the instructions of Karl Marx and their globalist overlords. A lot more people in the West need to pay attention to what is going on in the world.

Jeremy is certainly correct about the Labour government, and Labour government cocking things up. It is going back a long time, but up to the late 1970's I was what you would call a swing voter. I voted for which government Tory or Labour who I thought would do the best job. That all changed in the winter of 1978 / 9, the Winter of Discontent as it was known. The Labour government had the country in so much of a mess local and national governments were more or less paralyzed. I was still in the Air Force at the time and recall driving from RAF Lossiemouth to Dundee one Friday night. Driving through Aberdeen it was like driving through a scene in the movie Mad Max beyond the Thunderdome. All along North Anderson Drive, main bypass through Aberdeen there were council workers out with bonfires burning in the streets. No lighting of course. The main fire station on N A Drive was barricaded. There was no Ambulance service, the hospitals were only dealing with real emergencies. THE TRADE UNIONS WOULD NOT EVEN BURY THE DEAD. Bodies were stored in cold storage buildings. I vowed to myself that night I would never vote Labour again, and I never have.

Whether or not he lasts, some of Starmer's other comments are worthy of a question or two. Apparently he has a ten year plan for putting everything right, presumably on the bais that he,or some other Labour politician, will be around that long. If a private company took that long to turn themselves around they would soon cease to exist so I can only assume that after ten years he thinks we will have forgotten what they said or that they think it will take ten years to get the civil service to do any work.

If MPs can have a no confidence motion against a leader or PM then maybe there should be one against a government if it shows the inability to care for the people after an initial period of say 1year?
