When I took my wife out to dance to this song, I gently grabbed her waist and gave her a lovely kiss, what a good time and what a good song. Rest in peace, my love, this song is in your name that gives us many memories :)

Absolutely. Back when actual musicians made music.
There are certain 80’s songs that give me an overwhelmingly painful and bittersweet sense of nostalgia. This is definitely one of them.

She'll only come out at night

Ooh, she's sitting with you but her eyes are on the door

The woman is wild, a she-cat tamed by the purr of a Jaguar

The 80's school of American Pop Music is arguably the best of all time. The 80's are a magical world
The synthesizer was born and it was a wrap
Disagree 60s and 70s rock and folk are better
@w1ll923 mmm very debatable, i would have the 80's and 2010's music above 70's and 60's
Totalmente ❤
Only because we were in it... I can absolutely understand why others would say it's lewd, commercial, a parody of talented musical craft. WE love it because it's what we grew up on.
This song is 37 year old today and is still a great one.

ok, quick story.
so one time i was walking to my bus stop, and i have to cross a road to get there. i was distracted listening to this absolute gem of a song and then there was a car coming right before i was about to cross the road. then all of a sudden i hear this: 4:11 Daryl Hall yelling "WATCH OUT, WATCH OUT, WATCH OUT, WATCH OUT" and i look up and see the car and instantly stop. This song potentially saved my life.
Oh shoot
That's just what Daryl does, you know?
BRO, I EXPERIENCE THAT SAME SCENARIO EXACTLY THE SAME!!!!
Daryl is always watching you
Noooo not the car accident, well there's Covid as alternative
80's music videos never fail to make me feel like I'm having an out of body experience.

It's called time travel. Ya, I get that too.
@Gavin Knight So much great music. When bands had to pay their dues in clubs, parties, anywhere they could get a gig... and trying to get noticed. It made them better musicians I think.
It's the filter
Polarization is quantum
80’s were the peak of humanity
That was the period when they allowed us to live in some normality and carefree.. And then the bs started 🤷
Peak of music not humanity

i swear the saxophone is the most underrated music instrument ever
Hardly
for me it's the pipe organ
Shit not in the 80s literally every popular song of the era has one sax solo guaranteed
Definitely not, people from the 80s and 90s clearly enjoyed it, and as an 00s baby that plays sax I get multiple people saying saxophone is the sexiest instrument out there!
Is that really true? I love the saxofone myself because you can express your feelings and emotions so directly on this instrument. As a Dutchman I'm proud with our own Candy Dulfer, a very hot lady who really can go mad on a sax. She's a great star, not only in the Netherlands, but also abroad and played with some of the greatest like even Prince! So there's light at the horizon. Many, many songs have intro's with saxophones, solo's etc. What about the sound of Sade's band? There the sax determines that typical jazzy sound. Without sax no Smooth Operator! So cheer up and don't dispair!

“So many have paid to see, what you think you’re getting for free.” I felt that.
Oooh 😂 that’s what it says.
May I ask, what exactly this phrase means?

She'll only come out at night
The lean and hungry type
Nothing is new, I've seen her here before
Watching and waiting
Ooh, she's sitting with you but her eyes are on the door
So many have paid to see
What you think you're getting for free
The woman is wild, a she-cat tamed by the purr of a Jaguar
Money's the matter
If you're in it for love
You ain't gonna get too far
Watch out boy she'll chew you up
(Oh here she comes)
She's a maneater
(Oh here she comes)
Watch out boy she'll chew you up
(Oh here she comes)
She's a maneater
I wouldn't if I were you
I know what she can do
She's deadly man, she could really rip your world apart
Mind over matter
Ooh, the beauty is there but a beast is in the heart
Watch out boy she'll chew you up
(Oh here she comes)
She's a maneater
(Oh here she comes)
Watch out boy she'll chew you up
(Oh here she comes)
She's a maneater
Ooh,
Oh here she comes
Here she comes
Watch out boy she'll chew you up
Whoa here she comes
(Watch out)
She's a maneater
Oh here she comes
(She's a maneater)
Ooh, she'll chew you up
(Oh here she comes)
Here she comes, she's a maneater
(Oh here she comes)
(Watch out)
She'll only come out at night, ooh
(Oh here she comes)
Here she comes
She's a maneater
(Oh here she comes)
(She's a maneater)
The woman is wild ooh
(Oh here she comes)
Here she comes
Watch out boy, watch out boy
(Oh here she comes)
Oh, watch out, watch out, watch out, watch out
(Oh here she's comes)
Yeah yeah she's a maneater
(Oh here she comes)
(She's a maneater)
She's watching and waiting ooh
(Oh here she comes)
Oh she's a maneater
Cheers, bro.
Thank you

Sad Hall 'n Oats is over. At least we'll always have songs like this.
The 80 and 90s were the last generation of good radio rock!
Saludos
I wanna play the saxophone solo early in the morning when it’s not too many people outside for the echo. I want to wake up all the neighbors with it. I remember a Jamaican man playing the flute early in the morning in my neighborhood when I was younger and it sounded so amazing. He would walk around playing every morning it was a beautiful sound with the echo.
😍😍
No cap he killed it
I wanna live in THAT 'hood! 🎼🎵🎶 🎹⚠️
I wanna live in your neighbourhood. I'm just woken by the sound of someone pissed as a fart having a shout or crack heads fighting 😂
I want to live in your neighborhood. We all should live there and have fun
Hall and Oates Keep Up The Good Work
Just a millennial guy, who rather listen to golden tunes like this, than the crap that is out today
Me two x

The advice you'd give to Jellal when Erza's on heat be like:
I love this song so much ❤
The "anyone here in" comments are getting ridiculously precise... Anyone here the 15th of July at 10am?!
The saxophone, the reverb, the key changes between major and minor keys. 80s music was the best.
The fact that people are still listening to this just shows how good a song this is.😉
I got to hear and see them live tonight, they sounded great to be 73 and 74..

Bad songs can have 15 mins of fame. Good songs will find new fans forever! :)
no how true this song is
I first heard this song last week. I thought it was boring and skipped it. The same day I happened back on here and thought to myself let me play it. Wow, I tell you I have been hearing this non-stop. It actually sounds nice and I love it!
Maneater is an understatement…this song is a testimony.. plz listen youngn and still till this day for a lot of OGs
There's something magical about this song I can't explain
Agata Wolańska perfect pop song
Magic Of The 80's Agata.

junior torres wow, that's entirely Genius. This has opened my eyes, and I now percieve this song so differently. I hope you're serious, cause I'm very gullible
Agata Wolańska yea...not spewing about drugs, guns and violence...and actually playing instruments
