I’ve been wearing a pair of the black eagle athletic boots for 2 years on duty and they are incredible. The texture on the tread is starting to wear off but that is literally the only wear. Even the insole is in perfect condition. Greatest boots I have ever owned
I've worn the 8" boots on duty for the last 6 months, and they are hands down the best duty boots I've worn. I have about three other guys on my agency that wear them too, and they've all said the same thing. I would highly recommend them to anyone in Law Enforcement or EMS.
I have worn this exact boot for the last 3 years and the same pair still going! I have been retiring them lately though to get higher boot. But still wearing them outside on the range and field! Very light, comfortable and keep my feet feeling ready to go.
Same, I bought the high ride ones with the side zipper back in 2019. They have been worn on the range and on duty during flooding and inclement weather. Worn them in mud, worn them when septic tanks have burst. It was disgusting to clean them off afterwards, but they did their job. They're very good boots, my only complaint is they're not exactly the best for cold weather, as mentioned in the video. Both in retaining heat and also snow gets in through the side zippers and soaks my feet, which is an inherent problem with side zippers. Although it hardly gets cold where I am, so I just toss a pair of hot hands into my boots on those days and generally have spare socks with me. (Turns out Varusteleka also stocks HAIX boots for pretty cheap, too.)
I wear those without zipper and also low ones.. Haix are great quality shoes. I am working from a motorcyle and after one year almost no wear and tear on them..Great for summer and winter if its not super cold.. Even low ones are good for wet conditions and medium ones are the best.
I've worn Haix boots for the last ten years, for garage and mechanic work and surveying abandoned, derelict, water and fire damaged buildings. I wore out two pairs of Haix Special Fighters, now two years into a pair of Airpower R91s. Extremely comfortable, lots of grip. I do very little in the way of maintenance to them, but they're holding up very well, no major signs of wear. Expensive, but extremely good boots.
ive been using black eagles 2.0 gtx low for 7 years, still looks like like new, goretex membrane is something u must have, never again nike, puma, adidas or anything made in china - haixes are built to last, save your feet and your money ;)
They are available without the zipper, we get these issued as an duty boot. I personally like them alot. As far as I know Haix offers a resole service for 35€ in Germany. But since I can get another one issued I don‘t think I will use that service.

It is also quite popular for really expensive shoes, than you save a lot, but the cobbler must be experienced and trustworthy.
These kinds of boots aren't built to be resoled. They're built like sneakers. You'd need something with a Goodyear-style welt, which costs several times what these do but can be resoled and will last longer. Cobblers do exist in the US. I wear a $600 set of dress boots for work and the company will resole them for $125 or a cobbler can do it for less. At the rate they're wearing, I have a couple years to go before that's necessary. Compare that to wearing sneakers and buying a new pair every year and you'll see that in the long run it'll pay off.
@@bwofficial1776 well, not necessarily, several times more expensive. For instance, I've been wearing the same pair of Italian AKU tracking sneakers (that cost ~$200) for around five years, had them resoled after it became dangerous to use them in slippery conditions (it was around $20 for the job, but work is much cheaper in my country) otherwise, they seem to be perfectly fine, and I believe, they've gone several thousand kilometers (I like long walks, my daily goal is 8km + ~20km on weekends + occasional 40 - 60km hikes). The only other thing I had to replace was the insole, I replaced it with a more cushy one, but that was just personal preference. Also just looked at their site, and what I see they have tactical boots priced from 200$ to 350$ and most of them seem to be resoleable.
Yeah, a lace garage is a little peice of elastic that makes a pocket near the top of the tongue of a boot to stow the laces so you don't get hung up on the laces when hopping a fence. Face plants being rather embarrassing and what-not.
usually you reduce your carbon footprint by paying your local cobbler to repair/resole your boots instead of buying new every year. Provided that you bought boots that can actually be repaired in the first place. Although police work may have some specific implications that prevent this.
That Uvalde blue line is sad and definitely not helping your channel grow in fact its hindering it the rest of us believe in freedom but at least we can physically see the support for the Leo community is stupidly low the masses are starting to speak the blue line shows us where you stand

got me a pair of XR22, takes a week to wear them in (and its painful at times) but then they fit like a glove
Perfect boot for Southern California. Hot weather and wet n cold weather. They look modern and look light.

A must have for me
Also cool for Bushcrafter/Survivalists/Preeper and so on
Corrections love side zip
Currently applying to departments after passing my power test. Living in Illinois and dealing with snow. What boots would you recommend?
Danner Tachyons. Because an angel looses its wings everytime a zipper gets put on a boot.

What’s wrong with a zippered boot
Nice video! Keep it up!
How is the arch? Will they be ok for flat feet?
All these boots hurt my feet now, sucks getting old I guess.
Good review, but I’m sticking with my all leather Danner Acadias. They’re definitely pricey, but they last, and I can have them re soled!
Do you ever resole your boots or just buy a new pair every year? Or is it just too expensive in the US?
How can u resole a shoe? Everyone throws them away here or gives them to charity when the Soles are gone .

It doesn't appear that he ever answers anyone's questions on here. Just found this channel but looking thru comments and I see all questions ignored.
